That is a good question, to what extent can more money increase progress and at what point will there be diminishing returns. This is not an exact answer but it is my understanding (from asking Lebby questions) that he is in charge of hiring and firing in the lab. I don't know if anyone has left but he was part way through hiring (I believe) 3 new members as of the SHM. He also said that higher level people he knew would come in to work on specific aspects of the device or help overcome hurdles if needed. These are people who won't leave their positions (and Lightwave probably couldn't afford anyway) but they desire to have their name attached to the device. Street cred in the tech industry.

The company decided to no longer PR lab hires so changes will likely remain unknown. I would assume that based on the space available Lebby has organized an efficient set up.
