Excellent thinking! It's so important that we steer clear of feelings of abuse every time we happen to glance as the red lines in our portfolios.

Strangely the red sometimes seems to be yelling to me:

"Buy more of the danged stock already! What are you waiting for? You gotta chisel the other guy out of a freaking nickel?"

That sort of urging keeps me on my toes, ready to add on dips. And now I want 400 more units of ALDW but was denied the opportunity today. There's always tomorrow. My target price is $8.25/unit. I realize that I could pay the extra $100 and complete my position by the end of the week, probably. But I'm expecting we'll see $8.25 print and I have a whole month to realize my ambition.

Now, if I felt beaten up repeatedly by the red in my accounts, yeah---I'd be upset. I've unloaded many positions where I fell prey to the red plague. lol Not fun. But it's not fun recalling my having run the other way to avoid the truth---that I'd made some awful mistakes. They're part of the process, though.
