History lesson for GreenHorn’s. Been here since the beginning and have accumulated the entire time, Private Placements is how this company and the Goetzs were taken care of. 20 years ago Pop Goetz took a stable plastic and made it EO Active down the street in Aberdeen Proving Ground while working for the government, then he lost his funding. For many years the family struggled in a small lab in Delaware. He has since passed away. Due to an unfortunate accident in the lab his son Fred Jr. can no longer participate in the lab. Delaware is home to Dupont and an old Sr. VP by the name of Ross Fasic of Polymers from Dupont Vetted their work came on board and brought many chemical types here. Delaware is also Home to a ton of Pharmaceutical types that specialize in making clean molecules, a few of those cats jumped in and they nailed the process in a newer lab brought to the company with funding from LPC hooked up by Ol Man Smith of Taser. Joe Miller Sr. V.P. of Corning joined the board and was instrumental in changing it from a materials only (goo) to a device company. A new Clean lab/shop was built in Colorado. Fred Leonberger Inventor of today’s Legacy technology Joined and as I understand it is very active. Lebby has joined and appears to be the latest Super Successful Who’d Who in this area that has vetted the technology and is pushing like a MoFo to have it accepted and go main stream.
They are beginning by targeting a very small (Billion Dollar) Market in communications for the data centers, however if you get inside the Data center or the F’in Medical analysis market this could go viral.
While there a ton of folks working other alternatives only Lightwave has access to this material. Basically for years Intel was using Multi Mode (Big Pipe/Fiber) to communicate however Single mode (Little Pipe/small strands of fiber) is the future, the science gets a little deep on the wavelength, propagation, loss etc, but it certainly looks like they are just about to knock on doors once they have the material in their own device. They know it works in a device because they already put in another companies modulator and created Bleach waveguide modulators so it definitely works it is just a matter of time.
Obviously I’m still a big believer, however in today’s world though 10 years or so is a long time and many lose their patience. You can never tell the motivation of persons posting on a message boards but I hope this helps some to get it. Busy day so I won’t be able to opine to those that like to hammer or bring up the past etc. because like any startup, especially with something so complex as Plastic controlling Light converting the Electric signals to Light (zoom fricin zoom). Oh and it is Compatible with Silicon, perfect for a hybrid device.
