Thanks Richard_LaRiv,

I dont think we are at the promised land but I believe the news is a net positive. I dont know who would read it as a negative.

Does Metricon have a solid industry reputation?

I think I remember at some point that LWLG boasted that the Perkinamine met or exceeded most the LSS's 8 or so characterization requirements, and then Lou Bintz was brought on board to Design-In LWLG's contribution to the LSS's product, whatever that was. I've been here so long that I've grown old, my memory has gotten foggy, and perhaps my cognition has atrophied as well, LOL. Regardless, LWLG ultimately sent the LSS to the back of the line long ago; apparently the LSS was dissatisfied with LWLG or just found another approach more attractive for whatever reason. Many here, myself included, thought the LSS was INTC.

The point that LWLG had progressed beyond chemistry to engineering has been made a number of times over the past 10 years and modulator prototypes have been made on several occasions. Why they failed was never clarified. New Perkinamine interpolation formulas are probably still being invented back in Delaware. I doubt we will get more PRs about the polymers as so many of us ridiculed LWLG for coming up with new shares of blue to boast about every 3 months.

What was considered low hanging fruit has changed quite a bit over the last decade so yes, I'm still very skeptical.

What will move the needle, make believers out of industry and finally attract some real investment love into LWLG? I don't think things change when the 2.5 GB demo is unveiled. I really believe that LWLG needs to announce a product for sale or its sale to a company that will commercialize same. LWLG needs to share the center stage with one of the megacaps on a product joint venture or sale. I think that is what it will actually take, and I dont see it before 2018.

I'm still in with every share I ever bought, exhausted but hopeful we are finally getting somewhere. LWLG is certainly running out of excuses if they fail this time. If anything, their PR's sound more audacious than ever even if they are no longer talking about the cutting edge technology of 3rd Order All Optical Computing that originally captured my imagination.

Have a good weekend everyone,
-WISEGUY
