California Attorney Indicted and New Jersey Stock Promoter Convicted in Stock Manipulation Scheme

Jehu Hand, 59, was indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, securities fraud and wire fraud based on his involvement in a pump-and-dump scheme to manipulate the market and to sell unregistered shares of the stock of Greenway Technology. Greenway was a microcap or “penny stock” company that claimed to be on the verge of acquiring hotels that would cater to gay travelers in several major cities.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, Mitchell Brown, 50, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of securities fraud for his participation in the Greenway pump-and-dump scheme. U.S. District Court Judge William G. Young scheduled sentencing for Jan. 21, 2016.

Jehu Hand - A superseding indictment was filed on 7/26/2016- On August 2, 2016 the defendant was arraigned on the new charges and the Court orders: the defendant is released on all previously imposed conditions of release and in addition he will be subject to GPS monitoring by pretrial services in California and must stay away from airports and train stations. Jehu Hand is solely responsible for the $3,000,000 bond and is to work with his attorney to post the boat in Antigua and land in California to secure that bond. Mitchell Brown - The defendant is committed to custody of BOP for 42 months on each count. East count to run concurrently with each other and with sentence imposed in case 14-cr-10221-WGY. Three (3) years of supervised release with standard and special conditions to run concurrently with supervised release imposed in case 14-cr-10221-WGY. $900 special assessment (includes special assessment imposed in case 14-cr-10221-WGY). $1 Million fine (combined with fine imposed in case 14-cr-10221-WGY)."







Committed to custody of BOP???? Bureau of Prisons?

Did this person really get sentenced to 42 months in prison for each count?





I wonder what the rest of the jail sentences will be like for the others. Things that make you go hhhhhhmmmmmmm.
