The shareholder letter from December basically states that a photo detector (what POETF is developing) could be a part of the OSA (optical sub assembly) which is basically driven by the slot waveguide modular. The OSA being their ultimate goal.

This means that starting with a modulator, the polymer photonics platform for an OSA can be both transmitter, receiver, and contain multiplexors, de-multiplexors, spot size converters, photo detectors, waveguides, splitters, and other device structures to provide more functionality and more value to the customer base.

Interesting. It also shows the enormity of what Lightwave Logic is trying to achieve and the multiple partners and competitors that will enter the market. I think there is room for many though we may be at its heart. As others have said, if the sector heats up its going to be good for all.
