They now own 100% of their intellectual property. Why? Maybe they've got plans in the works. Just think what would happen if one airline picked up their service and emails and text could be done for low or no cost. All airlines would have to follow. My last flight Gogo wanted $39 for the flight. I refused. That's a fortune to check email. IPTK if adapted would let you text. From the news story linked below:

"ASi is able to provide these In-Flight Personal Area Networks (IPAN) at a low cost structure because of Bluetooth’s expanded range and speed since its first limited uses years ago, in addition to the lower certification costs compared to Wi-Fi. Bluetooth only uses 10 milliwatts of power, so it is completely safe for use on the aircraft and does not require extensive certifications like high-powered Wi-Fi networks do.
How will this be viewed by airlines? The one capability Bizjetmobile is not equally optimized for streaming live video. However, according to Chapman, most business aviation customers are more interested in email, calls, social media updates and the ability to communicate with family and share pictures through text."

IPTK used to have a licensing agreement but it was cancelled in November. From the Nov 8 2015 8k:

"The Company has advised ASiQ Limited ("ASiQ"), the licensee of the Companys SafeCell intellectual property, that the License Agreement dated May 29, 2008 is to be terminated immediately, and ASiQ has agreed to the termination. Under the Agreement, ASiQ had the right to develop, manufacture and market the SafeCell intellectual property and ASiQ was to pay the Company a Royalty Fee of 10% of the revenue generated by SafeCell and received by ASIQ. The Company will pay ASiQ a termination fee of $450,000 on terms to be agreed.

As a result of the termination, the Company will now control 100% of its intellectual property.

The directors of the Company retain shareholdings in ASiQ and three of the Companys directors, Mr Ron Chapman, Mr Graham Chappell and Mr Philip Shiels, are directors of ASiQ."
