Big 55,000 user win for Dell with the FBI. Why no mention of Sphere?

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/10/08/fbi_dell_nutanix_server_deal/

In October, the FBI announced it selected Dell and Nutanix to deliver 55,000 virtual desktops. Then win combines Dell servers and storage and Nutanix virtual desktop appliance software and is worth $28 million.

My question is why is there no mention of Glassware and Sphere? The newsletter has told us that Glassware is embedded in all Dell servers, PCs and Chromebooks, right? Why did Dell sell Nutanix?

We know Glassware is faster, simpler, easier to install and manage, and more cost effective than all competitive platforms, right? Dell and Nutanix can only deliver Windows apps, while Glassware can deliver Windows plus IBM mainframe, Apple, Android and Blackberry, right? So, why wouldn't the FBI IT team buy a better and more cost effective solution that delivers a broader range of apps?

What's even more surprising is that there has been no mention of this huge deal on any of the Sphere forums. The Sphere CEO has deep Fed Gov contacts, all the way to the Presidents office, yet not a single mention of this deal. Why didn't Sphere win this deal?

Glassware offers better tech, is more cost effective, and is embedded in every Dell product. Plus, the company has close personal ties to government officials. What went wrong?

With all of those positives, it is hard to understand the FBI decision. Are the FBI IT team that stupid? Why would they waste money on an inferior solution?

Sphere should contest this contract award.
