Yup back in the day they actually had a promising future but they went in the direction of a pinky scam instead of a growing LED manufacturer. I remember the Sarasota Memorial parking lot........ I actually went over there and snapped pics and posted here. The problem is they were simply assembling Chinese product and calling it Aimed Optics....... The same night I drove to SMH I drove past a Kash N Karry supermarket that had much brighter LEDs illuminating the parking lot, the light was much brighter and sharper than the SMH parking lot.

The insiders decided to chase grants and free money instead of building a manufacturing facility. After they took money to move from Manatee county to Sarasota county (a mere 6 or 7 mile distance) then they decided to move to a fancier address to reel in bigger suckers in LWR. At some point one of the insiders decided to lease his years empty building. They posted pictures of the inside but it appeared that the equipment they were saying were for LED manufacturing were in fact old obsolete Gemesis stuff.

Mel and his band of thieves could not have pulled off the scam without the assistance of the crapweasel legal team......... I don't know whether anyone knows but lawyers are some of the biggest liars and cheats........ right behind politicians and the lobbyists they work for.
