"UBER to Join MobileBits' Mobile Commerce Network Platform (MCN)
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileBits Inc., the software company who developed a new mobile marketing technology called Mobile Commerce Networks (MCN), has entered into a new partnership for the MENA and Levant regions with one of the world's fastest growing companies: UBER. The new partnership will allow MobileBits to embed a new feature that enables app users to summon a car straight from their MCN powered app. There are more than 450 million people living in this region.

Kent Kirschner, CEO of MobileBits, is excited about this type of partnership. "What people have demonstrated is that they want to consolidate all of their activities in mobile. They want one app that does everything! Search for a place to go, research the best value and then you want to close the loop ... make a purchase, get a ride, place an order for take-out. You don't want to be moving in and out of different apps and different websites. We want our Mobile Commerce Networks to power these types of all-encompassing journeys for our partners and their consumers."

The relationship will seamlessly connect MCN app users with Uber. Beyond looking for discounts, checking hours of operation and directions to local stores and restaurants around town, shoppers will see a new button inside the app to order an Uber driver to take them to the destination they choose or home from the location.

An MCN powered experience lets a user install just one app to connect directly with all their favorite restaurants, salons, shopping stops, etc. in a nearby location instead of having to use many different apps for the same trip. Uber representatives felt that this ecosystem lent itself extremely well to opening up numerous new touch points through which they might activate more riders.

"We partner with banks, local media, mobile operators and startups using our platform all over the world," states Hussein Abu Hassan, Chairman of MobileBits. "Uber is a travel companion wherever I go. What I want to see are local apps that put me in direct contact with all the shopping, dining and entertainment venues to which Uber can carry me. That is where our technology and partners can really make a difference."

Both companies are excited, as this will follow along similar global Uber partnerships including one with YP.com in the US and the Entertainer in Dubai.

"We've already seen in other examples where our co-marketing relationships with consumer shopping apps can drive significant value for us and for the partner as well. We are excited at the potential for MobileBits and their partners in the local media space to deliver many more of these over the coming months," said Salwa AlQattan, UBER Marketing Manager - Amman.
