I will give a couple of reasons why , if i were an insider ,I may not care to spring for a couple million shares of my own company. Regardless of how confident i was, i would not like taking out a
Loan for the million dollars , to purchase them. And i wouldn't want to pay the interest on a million dollars, lets say avg. 5% per year( $ 50,000.00 per year. ) on a good year. An average biotech three phase trial series , with FDA , runs an average 5 to 7 years, so thats about $250,000.00to $350,000. 00 just in interest. Ouch. Yes yes yes! That hurts. But, most major companies do offer warrants/ options. Just a part of the program so investors have to accept that reality, IMO. And I do not see why anyone could possibly spend time being angered by that reality, if they are going to participate in the stock market. If every major corporation encourages its insiders to decide for himself how he uses his options, then we are not in any way involved in that decision. He might feel obliged to discuss it with his wife. Are you his wife? He may feel a desire to discuss it with his tax attorney. Do you carry that knowledge, education, or authority? He may opt to discuss these options with a specialist certified public accountant? Are you experienced or licensed as a high level financial advisor? Belly aching sounds like victimhood. The victim is not able to direct or instruct the insiders on how to oversee their own purchasing. Regardless of the FACT that those options are common policy in the REAL business world, iit is taken very personally by some. Do you have any ides why these shares are called options? Think on why these shares are called options. No one is prohibiting you from going to any of the millions of insiders spread across the globe, and asking them if it would "hurt " for them to change their deliberately chosen strategies. I told you already to consider doing a survey of some a variety of small biotech companies. See what the insiders think on the questions you pose here. Honestly, it would be totally assumptive for me to attempt to answer for them. And If it is not totally assumptive of you to believe you could single any one of them out, to hear you anonymously leverage their change, well i hope you can see where I'm going. I see your pain, or confusion but i will say this for you , IMO.Seems you are one tenacious individual. So, i am sure you will eventually direct your questions , standing outside of anonymity, to the only people who can answer your questions accurately. I am not going to tell you to find another company because it seems you have found satisfaction here. I am newer than you. Some things for me are enigmatic and what are you going to do? Each to his own. Sorry you dont find my answers honest. Like I said, my focus is the science and FDA. All said is IMO.
