IBC: you better listen to chipguy. No way A72 can maintain phone TDP while running server workloads...

Phytium announced an actual 64 core ARM for servers. It still loses to the same freaking Celeron chip Chipguy mentioned and the TDP is allegedly 120W and it is still on 28nm. And I agree with chipguy that TDP is questionable. The product hasn't shipped or submitted official spec scores of course. And even with SPEC rate and many more cores, it of course can't compete with Xeon very well. ARM is far far far behind Intel here. Furthermore, SPEC is not only a benchmark of raw CPU scores but compiler is a significant element that is a significant part of the equation. I.E. if you immature crap compilers for server workloads like ARM you are naturally going to be at a disadvantage. So ARM better step up their compilers or STFU.
