PCYC - stroll down memory lane

First looked at PCYC back in 2010 because the BTK pathway looked really interesting. If I recall correctly, mcbio had asked me about them even earlier in a PM here, but I suspect I was pretty dismissive because of the company's dismal prior history.

I missed this post from you earlier. I first posted on PCYC and ibrutinib on this board way back in early 2009 here: #msg-36998377 . I followed up with a post here where I saw some potential in the stock and made reference to what might lead me to invest: #msg-38344930 . Here are some of your initial comments (I believe) on the stock and BTK with some caution noted in 2009 in response to my post where I noted I was "keeping an eye on PCYC" (LOL makes it even more painful knowing I never invested) due to the small market cap: #msg-42852870. There are plenty more posts in 2009 and 2010 if you just search but I don't want to pull up any more as it's too painful. LOL In the end, I think it was a combo of prior management issues, fact that PCYC in-licensed ibrutinib from Celera (as opposed to having developed it in-house), and fact that shares took a nice jump after the initial PoC data that led to me never buying any shares.

In 2011 on SI I called their BTK drug a "magic molecule" - my experience in biotech to date is that if you find a company with a magic molecule, resist the temptation to cash out early.

I give you absolute credit here. I was pretty skeptical of your comments, given that PCYC already had made a bit of a run and I thought some expectations were built in at that point but, in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that much of a run up until that point given where we are now. I'm hoping I do better this time around listening to you on FGEN.
