When you can show me the figures on the first sale of MS or any other spidersilk product, we can talk about production costs and what they mean

Come on now abom. You are smarter than that. THis is about a commercially feasible fiber. So far with all the info available from all of them shows that ALL of these fibers will have production costs well above the costs of silk for a fiber no better than silk.

Now KBLB is using silk worms and they have obviously been able to breed them since they crossed them with a commercial strain. There is no reason that KBLB could not produce silk at the same cost as regular silk.

If you have the slightest clue how it will cost more let me know.

So in the end Amsilk is $100000 a kilo
Spibers costs are not relevant since they need the silkworm silk to begin with. Anything else is just overhead.
RL is making goo stuff but not really making fiber that I know of.
THe other spiber is DOA
There are a bunch of universities doing research but not a one can produce a fiber that is commercially feasible.

Can you give me anything that says that anyone can get their costs down to the price of silk?

Can you give me anything that says MS would cost more than normal silk?
