I know how it works. There can be a perfunctory investigation early on, resulting in a halt if there's sufficient evidence to warrant a full-scale discovery process. I've seen this occur numerous times and twice I lost considerable money.

I have no reason to believe such a situation has occurred with FDMF, however, and sincerely hope nobody was frightened due to any misunderstanding.
