Honestly nobody on earth YET completely understand all of this, but after watching what happens to the lightwaves as fiber as it is bent in multi mode and single mode I would assume that it looks something like this.

Back in the day the ~ may have been dust or impurities in the Perk hence the Pharm chemists. I’m guessing he is taking about knicks or bumps in the waveguide. Honestly I didn’t read nor try to understand the entire thing, shoot what I cannot even understand is that Photons don’t interfere with photons so how Perk can change light with light is a mystery to me Or how you can shoot one photon through a slit/hole and end up with different angles is mystery. So I’m with you Buz I cannot explain it, but sometimes if I drink enough I think I can, Lol. I appreciate the information of everyone that contributes to the board.
