What Amarin needs to tell the doctors...

CVD is caused by inflammation..Rational treatment should include treating the inflammation. Scientific evidence supports the fact EPA lowers systemic inflammation and direct observation on arterial lesions shows EPA will increase vessel lumen area in atherosclerotic blood vessels and stabilize atherosclerotic plaques which cause AMIs and thrombotic strokes.

Couldn't agree with you more, but there are a large % of doctors who do not appreciate being "told" what to do or what causes what - "hey, that's not what I learned in med school" - until the AHA etc. come out with white papers/new policies saying what you wrote, AMRN has a tough road in educating doctors and trying to change their minds about what they (think) they know about CVD. If that new FDA guidance policy on what reps may hand out to docs during visits is approved it will make life a lot easier for them, but we're still facing the insurance coverage problem even if docs come around. Lp-PLA2 test is still "experimental" and not covered by any insurance despite mountains of evidence that it is a valid biomarker for CV risk.
