I had the option of staying with a non-ACA plan (Coventry) for $541/mo ($8,500 deductible) or switch to a BC/BS ACA plan for around $1,250/mo. ($8,000 deductible).


That outrageous! Is that for just you or covers a family? Curious about those horrendous deductibles too - is that total out of pocket expenses for anything, including drugs, has to reach deductible before they pay you a single penny? I've heard about ACA plans like that, heard horror stories of people not able to afford medications because they have to pay retail cost at the start of the year, got laughed at on some board, folks didn't believe me.
