I agree. A reverse split usually does not work out too well for existing shareholders. Case in point, look at Gigoptix. Gigoptix did a 1 for 8 reverse stock split. Temporarily the stock appeared to have a higher value but as time went on the stock price drifted much lower. Subsequently, Gigoptix issued more stock and went on an acquisition spree further diluting existing shareholders. I am not sure we want to follow this model.
