Data: IMO IDCC's explanations that the company is in a better position because of the expiration of the Apple license, is an attempt to make something positive about a bad situation.

According to the latest rumors. Pegatron has 50% of the smaller 4.6” iPhone 6, with Foxconn having the remainder and all of the larger 5.5” models

Although the larger model seems to be more popular, assuming equal sales, and that the rumored production distribution is accurate, means that IDCC is only collecting royalties on one quarter of the iPhone 6 production.
