I like to think that I'm Fair & balanced. When I write to my Republican Congressional Representatives I always close with "Be aggressive. Be Truthful. save Our Country".
My message is that the reality of Obama and Democrats is so bad that there is no need to exaggerate or distort.
I have a lot of regard for the American Thinker, the blog that put out this article on Muslim hatred for Jews, but it exaggerates and distorts the reality of the historic relationship between Muslims and Jews.
The writer, of the article makes it sound like there has been a Muslim Jihad against Jews since the time of Muhammad. I'm not a student of that history, and I know there have been hills and valleys along the way.
Jews have lived side by side with Arabs in particular and Muslims in general for centuries. Egypt, Yemen, Iran, Lebanon & Palestine had substantial populations of Jews that lived in peace with their neighbors.
that changed dramatically, in 1947 , when the UN gave a good part of Palestine to Jews, to form Israel. Israel is called the Jewish Homeland. That included millions of Jews that had never set foot on the land in question.
Millions of Muslim Palestinians had never known any Homeland other than Palestine. Palestinians in particular and Muslims in general did not take that well.
Even after the creation of Israel, Jews continued to live among Arabs, in lesser numbers. There has not been a general slaughter of Jews by Arabs.
An example of tenuous acceptance of Jews by Arabs are a couple of Oil Patch Facts on The Ground. The United Arab Emirates has a number of Western Oil Companies with interests in the UAE's oil fields. All but one operate under the name of local partners.
That one company is Amerada Hess. Which was founded and owned by Leon Hess. A well know New jersey Jew. When I worked in Abu Dhab. Mr Hess made several trips to visit Amerada Hess facilities. His visits were well publicized in the local English language newspaper.
I had a good Jewish friend that was the US Embassy Commercial Attaché. He never told me so, but I'm convinced that Charlie was with the CIA. He was fluent in Arabic and had amazing stores about his time in the Arab World.
Another Jewish owned American oil company that operated among Arabs was Armand Hammer's Occidental Petroleum Company. For many years Occidental was the only American oil company in Libya. Mr Hammer was no shrinking Jewish violet.
My point is that the full and complete truth about Muslim treatment of Jews and Christians has become so bad that there is no need to resort to exaggerations or distortions.
