Why?
Because the R/S was so large that it created a large number of "odd-lot" holders.
Consider : at 10,000-into-1 anyone with less than a million shares ( 1,000,000 ) got turned into an "instant odd-lotter" with less than 100 shares remaining to their name.
Even those with more than a million shares but not an exact multiple of a million shares also became "odd-lotters".
The true odd-lotters ( < 100 shares ) are almost certainly going to say [ expletives deleted ] and sell, probably at the market, just to get it out of their portfolios and out of their consciousness. Others with more are going to sell the "odd" part to get back to "round" lots, i.e. multiples of 100.
So the weird-looking sizes getting dumped at the bid are going to persist for a while, probably all the way to December and tax-loss selling.
It's all up to Mr. Edwards, now.
I don't have "humble" opinions and never will!, so if you can't deal with that, just do us both a favour and put me on ignore!
