We are looking at a seriously logarithmic viraemia curve for this infection. Doubling time on average looks to be under a day, so the half-dose vs. full-dose would correspond in general to about a day's delay or less. (But there isn't enough data to know this for sure - could be that it's slower at the beginning with a smaller dose).
But there does seem to be a fair amount of variablity, and so you are correct that "days" aren't a good measure. Could easily be 3 logs difference on the same day.
