what if....?
What if Solms is just another Wavoid type who sees the market we see (i.e. all the breaches, hacks, and thefts) and thinks Wave is the answer.
He is a retired military officer/IT guy who parlayed his service career into nice jobs at MSFT and ORCL, sees what we see and believes that Wave is a tremendous opportunity to make a fortune quickly because of the market and the Wave solution.
So he applies for the North American Sales job, gets the job and because of circumstances and synchronicity finds himself inthe CEO seat.
He must be whistling show tunes right?
But, Zap, all of a sudden he finds that although there is a market for safer computing, there is no market for trusted computing and there is especially no demand for Wave's solution.
Of sudden, he is faced with the dilemma we have been struggling with for all these years. There is a huge Phillips Head Screw out there and all we have is a little slotted screw driver.
This all conjecture on my part of course and surely I hope it is otherwise, but this story just doesn't get any better.
