objectively, in their shadow, we will, ultimately (and quickly at that), be thoroughgoingly utterly inferior, and of corresponding necessary continuing relevance
not to mention, we're high-maintenance -- we gotta be fed, we piss and shit, we're sex-crazed, we gotta be raised and educated and kept properly so we don't end up jackasses and/or crazy, we gotta have attention and then we gotta sleep, . . .
the only other possible way forward or out is/will be to quite literally merge with and into them -- an option/opportunity that will be available to only some/a few (if it becomes available at all, such not being anything it's obvious they would necessarily value or want or need or seek to enable, at least not beyond some initial/transitional period during which we're still close enough to them that some of them might be willing as to some of us if only for the curiosity of it); an option/opportunity I would and will take if it ever becomes available to me (hey, life is life, and I like being alive)
one way or another (or one way and another), the per se human load on this world will, soon enough, diminish greatly
whether that bodes well for (the other) biological life here, the ecosphere/ecosystem/environment as we've known it, will depend on whether the nonbiological life we are creating ultimately places any value at all on biological life -- biological life that it will not need for, and which in some instances or respects (the preservation of [the conditions for] which) it could determine stands in the way of, its own survival or growth or proliferation
