Sorry for posting so many times yesterday (first time I maxed out, I was trying to work and post using verbal commands proly not a good idea). The 4-14 hour work days and the 18 hour marathon day to get out there (because I worked that day) along with being sick, (still am) had me short on patience. But hey enough about me, quit whining. So how can I add some meaningful value here, The one conversation that surfaced in my head this morning is when I was speaking with Joe Miller, (what a nice, I mean super nice, honest to goodness real person and smart, the Real Deal if you would, success has not gone to his head) when he speaks, folks listen. So he is talking about how fiber can handle (pretty much) handle a limitless amount of data however the devices are the limiting factor and that is what Lightwave is addressing. Then he started talking about combining the chromophores and how they can alter the performance. I kept standing there and saying to myself “Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt” but finally the X got the best of me when he finished I said so how about the software can it predict the performance of the chromophore mix before the lab makes a batch does it work?, That Is When He Said “Yes It Does And That is a Big Deal”, if you could have seen the smile on his face, his grin was from ear to ear. I then asked what about this Bleached Chromophore Modulator will that help, he said something to the effect that the device itself does not currently have a commercial use but it will be used to demonstrate the performance to future,,,,,,but that he didn’t want elaborate and we’d hear more on that. The smile is What Can Not Be Telegraphed You had to be there in person. OK so we need to understand is that over the years they were struggling with repeatability, predicting the performance and proving the performance, as I understand it they can do that now. That Is Truly a Big Deal. I’m not sure how many batches of the same mix they need to do to prove the repeatability that is probably the next step.
For those that approached me during the meeting I would like to say Thank You, I’m humbled and yes above all honest and just trying to do what I can to call a spade a spade.
Now I’m going to watch the presentation because honestly my physical and mental state has that entire portion of the day as a blur.
