Everyone has been focusing solely on the "WIDE ANGLE THREE-DIMENSIONAL SOLAR CELLS" patent application which did not pass the test for "Inventive Step" status.
But what about this one? (WO 2012054436 A1)
"Three dimensional solar power systems and methods of making same"

With this patent application if you click on the link for the "Written Opinion of the International Searching Authority" you'll see we did achieve "Inventive Step" status for two of the claims. This is significant because the end product Solar3D is selling is not a 3D Cell, its a solar power system in which the 3D Cell is included. And since its a combination product of the which the 3D Cell is just a part of, then its essentially a new invention.
I think getting this patent for the solar power system as a whole along with the methods of making and fabricating it is far more important and doable than the patent for the 3D Cell alone.
