sorry to say, no telescope.
just listening to this ceo. he said from the gitgo not to expect sales for a few quarters. he said the old pipeline was full of dead leaves and that it takes a while to generate new relationships and new contracts. he said he was focussed on refining and/or building products.
i interpreted him to mean that i should have expectations of poor results up to q2,14, at least.
he launched the product and then he indicated he expects sales in the second half of this year.
he also said $10m fundraising ought to be sufficient. that also tells me he thinks he has something more than dead leaves in the pipeline.
that's to say, his commentary is internally consistent. a new thing.
it's all running much as we have been led to expect. i don't think he has a duty to meet expectations he deliberately didn't set. you are right that he has to deliver, but for me, he is already delivering. he has created the first newly defined asset he thinks will change the trajectory of the company. it has been in pilots. etc.
this sounds in some ways like ss. the difference is that where solms has made forecasts (eg i will make a product available on such and such a date, i will do a deal with some unnamed company in the emv space) they seem by and large to occur.
so tentatively speaking, he appears to say things upon which i can rely.
i speculated that the product launch would be accompanied before,during or soon after, by a sales announcement. i'm think soon after right now!! but i want to distinguish my speculation from his future statements. he said second half.
indeed, i still expect that wave will announce more than a single order for vsc 2.0 soon but i also expect those orders to be incremental.
