NOTE: I only watched it for the "Honest" Israeli Jew remarks.
Another NOTE: Calling this man an "Honest Israeli Jew" , infers that Israeli Jews with other Points Of View are not honest.
He gives a good summary on the formation of Israel and the conditions in Palestine at the time. After that it gets murky.
The man was "honest" up to a point, but like any propagandist, he added "facts" and made ridiculous comparisons. Examples:
* He called the Israeli Army the best paid, trained and equipped terrorist army in the World.
* He talked about how people say there can't be a Two State Solution. As examples of successful Two State Solutions he mentioned Switzerland and Belgium!
Say What??? He's comparing the populations of those two countries to today's Palestinians. keep in mind. The same poison that is flowing through the brains of ISIS, flows through the brains of millions of Palestinians.
* He Said the security walls that Israel has built to separate The West Bank and Gaza from Israeli civilian populations aren't security walls. He called them ethnic separation walls. A suicide bomb doesn't know about ethnicity.
* He gave an example of a Palestinian friend of his being sentenced to life in prison for killing two Israeli's, as an example of Israel's unjust system. He rationalized that the two Israeli's that were hacked to death by the friend and several of his compatriots, were not civilians. They were two Israeli soldiers guarding a bank in Ramallah.
He said "Imagine that!" As if hacking two Israeli soldiers to death was somehow justified. He did say his friend was later released. Wasn't Israeli Justice at work when the murder was released?
* One of his distortions bordered on an out and out lie. It was when he talked about the 1967 Six Day War. He admitted that Arab Armies from Egypt, Syria and Jordan had mobilized to Israel's borders. But get this, He said it would have taken a year and a half until those Arab Armies were trained enough to take on Israel's army. Another Say What?
Israel did do a first strike. Did the "Honest Israeli Jew" expect Israel to wait until the Arabs were sufficiently trained and launched their invasion?
Is history to record that three Arab Armies camped out on Israel's borders to have the world's longest camel BBQ?
To put my opinions on Israel and the Palestinians in perspective. As I've said before. I went through 50 years of my adult life as no friend of Israel.
I think the World might be a better place if Israel had never been created. I've never bought in to "God's Chosen People or Israel being the Jew's Biblical Home Land as a sound reason for the creation of Israel.
Much of the land that is now Israel was flat out stolen from Palestinians. There is no doubt about it.
There is also no doubt that each and everyone of us are living on land that was stolen from Native Americans. I live on land that was stolen from Kiowas and Comanches, by the US Government and given to Choctaws and Chickasaws and then stolen from them and given to my ancestors.
America and Israel are facts on the ground. We can learn from history but we can't change it. We are living in a World where Radical Muslims want to destroy Israel & America. We simply must learn to live with that reality.
