It's interesting that the short data available looks roughly similar to a now famous short squeeze when it happened last year. Not saying that this is the expected case here, but I am making the point that the short data via regshow seems to not correlate with what's actually happening sometimes.

Ancient history at this point; but has always called into question the regsho data, for me. Regsho seems to more or less report liquidity gaps within MM firms to create a market -- for the most part.
