"Insurance Coverage"????

Too hilarious!!!

Even ignoring that your source is a calmare shyster employing a couple of Carribean med school losers, the first company listed -- "21 Century" -- is an AUTOMOBILE insurer!

Wait That gives me an idea! Slap four wheels on that dopey machine and turn it into a hot dog vendor! All those pretty flashing lights would attract customers and you could just cook the wieners using the electrodes! And that big EMPTY case would be perfect for holding buns!

And "Orthonet" isn't even an insurance company! It's a orthopedic specialty benefit management company -- it's employed by INSURANCE companies to review claims and provider practices to minimize insurers expenses. They're the ones that'll be REJECTING claims because their employers -- the insurance companies -- ALL say they don't cover calmare therapy!

And "United Healthcare"? Say what, Cooney:

"Just this month, one of our patients appealed the denial of her Calmare Therapy claim against United Healthcare, not once but twice."

Yeah! I guess if someone wants to spend months filing appeals, MAYBE United might FINALLY give way! Even then, he doesn't indicate HOW MUCH the company finally agreed to pay!

Let's see what United's CURRENT policy is! As of March of 2014:

"0278T [the now infamous CPT 3 code that everyone seemed soooo happy to get!] United Healthcare considers all services and procedures listed in the current and future Category III CPT code list as not proven effective and will deny submitted claims as not medically necessary."

Oops! So much for that insurance coverage! And the FUNNY thing is that United actually DOES cover TENS therapy -- they don't pay much, of course, but then again something is better than NOTHING, right?

Oh, but wait! The calscam's NOT a nasty old "TENS" device, is it? It's a nerve "scrambler" -- an "experimental" device that NO ONE is willing to reimburse!

I wonder whether advertising insurance companies cover a therapy when they DON'T violates any laws -- I think I'll see if New York has some kind of consumer protection agency and ask them!
