Seems that that saying and the Boy Scouts' motto of Be Prepared is a thing of the past.
If I was younger and had the skill base, I would live off the grid and be another Henry David Thoreau.
I have a Mormon neighbor who has a year's worth of food and two wells on his property.
b4atf said to me in private that if he could influence one person to prepared for a calamity, then his mission has been accomplished. RIP my man, you succeeded.
