Well said ZF. The functions of the human cell were once thought to be rather simple, but in the last few decades scientists have begun to discover that it's really quite complex. While I'm a firm believer that man, given enough time and resources can do just about anything (check Genesis 11:6), the complexities of silk fiber production will probably take quite some time to figure out, let alone be cost effective.
