IMO yes that would be an "inconsistency". I would say that it would have something to do with using 2 different groups of DNA. The results would show under a black light that a worm did or didnt receive the dna packet.
JUST A GUESS
The ones that glow red have the packet but if there are 2 other DNA strands then some worms would get both and some would only get one.

It is also possible that the variations are nothing more than a natural deviation. Like when your brother looks a lot like you but he has brown hair and yours is blond.

A dna test on variations should tell Fraser what the issue is. I would think finding a matching set of worms and breeding them a few cycles will solve any issues. Selective breeding should be able to remove any undesirable traits.


It also could be that the dna location was not ideal and the genetics are not stable. We can only wait and see.

BR is just 1 of many strains they have made so far that showed promise. Now that they have their own testing equipment they can begin testing of all the other strains and see what properties they each have.
