The report says that 200,000 to 2,00,000 metric tons of crude come from oil seeps, World wide. it rounded the number to 600,000. That would be about 5 million barrels /year. That is from 10 to 15 Exxon Valdez spills.

shockingly, Exxon Valdez ranks as only the 54 th largest oil spill in history!
