Some correlations really should not be ignored...
These trends are not sustainable...sadly, a national death spiral is just over the hill...extreme concentration of wealth to the top 1%-5%, diminished access to enormously expensive higher education even for the gifted, prisons for profit housing the desperate along with real criminals, and a host of others too long to list but a function of politically mandated wealth/power inequalities - see tax code.
AND...Who gets the funds that the workers no longer can collectively bargain to receive for their contribution to success:
The Philosophy of Greed (AKA - who will get smacked down first by the aforementioned angry and desperate):
