Hi Ayock, I'm refering to the same "they" that Kennedy is refering to.

The decline of the middle class began way before Reagan. It started under Johnson. But the reality is that once Europe and Asia finally recovered from the destruction of WW II, they were able to offer competition to the spoiled US unskilled work force.

But you already know this.
