In my opinion, anyone who would approach a company to ask to promote their product just because they need (or think they need) the money, regardless if they like the product is a scumbag. It may even happen from time to time but that is not the normal method of operation in the advertising business

I agree: The normal MO would be the advertiser approaching the prospective sponsor.

I can believe that Couples genuinely believes in the product; but I can't believe his touting it without compensation. Please show me evidence of Couples promoting Abloc as a volunteer, and I might believe it.
