I, too, strongly favor term limits. Personally, I lean toward single terms for Congressmen, as well. I would enhance that with something like the G. I. Bill of Rights to assist unseated congressmen in their return to private life.
Spending two years in Congress and returning to private life might impose hardship on those who represent us, but that imposition is no greater for them than it is for the people who serve in our armed forces (and the circumstances of their service are incomparably more hospitable). It is appropriate that they get similar post-service support.
In addition to term limits, I think we should eliminate all the "legislative assistants" and "administrative assistants" we currently provide our elected officials. We elect these people to represent us. Their only responsibility is to study the laws that come before them and act on them. We do not want unelected "legislative assistants" performing the task we elect these people to perform.
