I agree. with edibles, at least the dispensary type, you know exactly the % of CBD and THC, so dosing is more easily controlled, as where I am at, the results of the testing is required to be on the packaging.
With a joint, if you are a talker or a beaugarter who knows how much one gets? One can buy pure CBD or THC, or mixtures... or even grow specific strains with known production of the cannabinoids. I went so many years with the smoking light off, that when I retired after a career of being subject to drug testing, I was kind of amazed at all the edibles available. Before that, making canna butter was the farthest I wandered into that area, but again, no real idea of dosage other than trial and error.
I guess common sense would tell one that if your lungs hurt when you smoke, to stop doing it.
This seems to suggest
not the words empirical science uses.
Inhaling any kind of smoke can do damage, it seems, intuitively. Lung cancer can be a result, but the data does not show that cannabis smoke leads to lung cancer. No appreciable difference from the control. If someone had COPD and wanted the beneficial effects of various cannabinoids, edibles are certainly readily available.
If you do not believe the science, then not much to discuss. The NIH usually errs on the side of caution, but they didn't say cannabis smoke is necessarily harmful.
I am not a medical pro, but in my experience CBD is very gentle to the stomach, liver, and kidneys.
I do not take ibuprofen or acetaminophen as I reserve them for major injury or surgery.
Giving pot to stage 4 cancer patients is kind of depressing as too much turnover in patients, and sometimes family or spouses object to them trying it.
Pot is so cheap now and I grow it for free so that isn't all that altruistic but is sure appreciated.
The issue was lung cancers, COPD is not a cancer. Again, since it is unsettled science, it is relatively simple to find articles to confirm any bias, that is why I stuck to the national institutes of health and the JAMA.
So maybe the idea of worldwide revulsion at all things Israel has been a tad overstated? If you’ve been fooled about this by social media, it’s understandable, with the emphasis on “you’ve been fooled”
I have seen no one express revulsion at "all things Israel" here. Check your victimhood at the door, you are the only one overstating it.
I have seen revulsion at some of their actions, yes. I have also seen revulsion expressed at what Hamas did and is doing. The only person that seems to be fooled is you.
One more on the subject:
Tests show potential for medicinal cannabis to kill cancer cells
Monday, 20 July 2020
Laboratory tests conducted at the University of Newcastle and Hunter Medical Research Institute have shown that a modified form of medicinal cannabis can kill or inhibit cancer cells without impacting normal cells, revealing its potential as a treatment rather than simply a relief medication.
The significant outcome follows three years of investigations by cancer researcher Dr Matt Dun in collaboration with biotech company Australian Natural Therapeutics Group (ANTG), which produces a cannabis variety containing less than 1 per cent THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) – the psychoactive component commonly associated with marijuana. The plant, known as ‘Eve’, has high levels of the compound cannabidiol (CBD).
“ANTG wanted me to test it against cancer, so we initially used leukaemia cells and were really surprised by how sensitive they were,” Dr Dun says. “At the same time, the cannabis didn’t kill normal bone marrow cells, nor normal healthy neutrophils [white blood cells].
“We then realised there was a cancer-selective mechanism involved, and we’ve spent the past couple of years trying to find the answer.”
The Dun team has run comparisons between THC-containing cannabis, and cannabis lacking THC but with elevated levels of CBD. They found that, for both leukaemia and paediatric brainstem glioma, the CBD-enriched variety was more effective at killing cancer cells than THC varieties.
In a recent paper entitled “Can Hemp Help?”, released by international journal Cancers, Dr Dun and his team also undertook a literature review of over 150 academic papers that investigated the health benefits, side-effects, and possible anti-cancer benefits of both CBD and THC.
“There are trials around the world testing cannabis formulations containing THC as a cancer treatment, but if you’re on that therapy your quality of life is impacted,” Dr Dun says. “You can’t drive, for example, and clinicians are justifiably reluctant to prescribe a child something that could cause hallucinations or other side-effects.
“The CBD variety looks to have greater efficacy, low toxicity and fewer side-effects, which potentially makes it an ideal complementary therapy to combine with other anti-cancer compounds.”
The next phase for the study includes investigating what makes cancer cells sensitive and normal cells not, whether it is clinically relevant, and whether a variety of cancers respond.

As most here know, I grow marijuana legally and have for almost 25 years. I provide it free to cancer patients. I rarely partake, as I just don't feel like smoking much any more. I am very good at growing it and even developed a strain. (which had the trait of no odor while growing, to keep neighbors happy)
However, since my body objects to some of my physical exertions as I age, I do take CBD gummies which have no psychoactive effect but they make sore muscles feel much better, and make joints and aches and pains discomfort become much reduced. And it is clearly not a placebo effect, at least on me.
The jury is not in on that one yet. JAMA says the correlation is inconclusive. There is apparently some suppression of cancer cells by compounds in marijuana so the negative effects of the bad stuff may be compensated for by one of the cannabinoids. One can find articles all over the place that say marijuana MAY cause some lung cancers, which seems intuitive, but it is not settled science.
Whether smoking marijuana causes lung cancer, as cigarette smoking does, remains an open question.67,70 Marijuana smoke contains carcinogenic combustion products, including about 50% more benzoprene and 75% more benzanthracene (and more phenols, vinyl chlorides, nitrosamines, reactive oxygen species) than cigarette smoke.67 Because of how it is typically smoked (deeper inhale, held for longer), marijuana smoking leads to four times the deposition of tar compared to cigarette smoking.71 However, while a few small, uncontrolled studies have suggested that heavy, regular marijuana smoking could increase risk for respiratory cancers, well-designed population studies have failed to find an increased risk of lung cancer associated with marijuana use.67
https://nida.nih.gov/publications/research-reports/marijuana/what-are-marijuanas-effects-lung-health
The researchers found no increased risk of lung cancer from marijuana smokers compared with controls, although they did find a 20-fold increased risk of lung cancer among those who smoked two or more packs of cigarettes a day.
“The odds ratio was always less than one for marijuana use, except for lung cancer at the lowest level of use, where the odds ratio was exactly one,” Dr. Tashkin said. “We found no association, not even a suggestion of a positive association, of marijuana use—even heavy, long-term use—and lung cancer after controlling for tobacco smoking and other potential confounders.”
James Jett, MD, Professor of Medicine at Mayo College of Medicine, a lung cancer expert who was not involved with the research, called the study well done. “The results moved me from thinking that there was an association of marijuana smoking with lung cancer to a more neutral position that there is evidence on both sides.”
https://journals.lww.com/oncology-times/fulltext/2006/06250/new_data_find_no_lung_cancer_link_for_marijuana.11.aspx
So, confirmation bias aside, the difference in risk between smoking tobacco and marijuana is apparently significant. I found an article about which compound is apparently a cancer suppression agent but haven't been able to find it again on my phone. I will look some more.
After all the whining by the shitgibbon about not being able to go to barron's high school graduation because of his fraud case.... he naturally skipped the graduation and went to a fundraiser. Grifters gotta grift. I imagine barron understands. He is back out of politics as Mercedes withdrew him as a delegate to the wing nut convention.
Thanks for playing.
the dated article is not even represented as a poll, it was a phone survey. Thanks for attempting to deceive, yet again. You make people dumber by reading your pap.
Repub politicians may want to own libs, play the gotcha game that is so prevalent for them and media
Sounds like you are self-identifying. Except your political skills could only be matched by your lack of parenting skills, going by what you have said on here.
Would anyone but an abject troll attack the the members this board, indeed the board itself, several times per day and expect any level of respect? Disrupting people by repetitive attacks not related to what anyone else is discussing is mostly just rude, narcissistic, and tedious. Which is a red hat trademark. Your charade fools no one, except maybe you.
Just call the other guys nuts
We already know your MO, no need to reinforce it several times per day. Spamming your repetitive "ideas" over and over does not make your case stronger, it weakens it. Sometimes it seems as though you are just begging to be spanked with a rolled up magazine.
I haven't stopped to look. The only state I have noticed standardized death markers still being put up is Montana, but I don't travel in the east or south.
The impeachments were done per the Constitution. The cult protected him.
Read legitimate news sources. It is in Wisconsin.
Helicopter work is an adrenaline junkie's dream job. To rappel out of them next to a wildfire was certainly fun. To get hired onto a crew means you already know how to work fires and are proficient at it, then the next most important features are not being prone to motion sickness, no big fear of flying, ability to do math mostly in your head to do load calculations and density/altitude determinations, and spending a few days in the woods with no back up usually. On my days off, I flew hang gliders. But somehow, I never even thought about heights and was always the guy sent up the towers, etc.
But at about the retirement age, I suddenly developed a fear of heights for no apparent reason or incident. I did land hard in a helicopter a couple times, but I was never the one that got injured.
Also, I never thought twice about mountain roads, as that is my habitat. However, I have even become more timid on back roads... this video is of a place called Doherty Slide, and is the rim of an extinct volcano. It is an 8 percent grade for four miles, with no guardrails or shoulder, 1000 feet down is the valley floor. Truckers do not love it. It is on the way to my favorite opal spot, and there is not really a way around it for many miles.
I found it very interesting that you developed a healthy respect for heights as you aged... now I know I am not the only one.
What portion of the post didn't you understand? Trump promised the tech plant, failed to deliver (as always) and now biden is making it happen. Is that too complex of a reality for you?
Biden closes the deal, after trump failed to deliver on his loudmouth promise. Just a part of Stinky Mar a Lardo's total failure as a president.
CNBC: Biden is visiting Wisconsin today to announce plans to invest $3.3 billion in a high-tech datacenter. The facility in Racine County will be built on the same land where Trump had once planned with Foxconn to construct a $10 billion factory, that he once called the ‘8th… pic.twitter.com/eRTPTET7Ax

Thanks for bringing up the fact that 2/3 of sex scandals in our nations political history are conservatives at fault. Your last president even has been found liable for a rape. So directing attention to an immigrant who did something horrible does not change the fact that guys like matt gaetz and cawthorne should have been pilloried by their own, but republicans protect their criminals. Most of the time, democrats police their own and get rid of pedos and rapists, unlike your sad, failing party.
It wasn't a "certain amount of money", it was a certain amount of donors. He needed 40k individual donors and he bought them with $19 payola.
They were not votes per se, but he needed a specific number of donations that signified enough support to get a place on the stage. Whether it violated campaign finance rules is uncertain, as new schemes are being hatched as fast a rules are being written.

Russian bots seem to have defective chips.
One of your boys, Doug Burgum, doesn't even pretend not to. The ND billionaire wanted to get enough individual donations to qualify for the debate stage, so he advertised giving a $20 gift certificate to anyone who donated a dollar. Which he did, and got on stage. But, as the Beatles say, you can't buy me love, and while he made the stage, he lost horribly in the primaries. I can't even think of a more blatant way to buy "support". Direct marketing of free money for votes.
After all of shittypants' whining about not getting to go to barron's hs graduation (fact: he never attended any of his other children's graduations) to the judge, turns out trump never intended to go, I imagine the judge loves being lied to. A fundraiser... LOL... keep sending money, dupes, E. Jean needs another pedicure.
Trump plans to attend a fundraiser on the day of Barron's graduation.

I would take odds that someone else paid for anything he supposedly gave to someone for a photo op
Always great to see you with your blinders on about your dear leader as normal people see him in actual reality.
You babbling on about the garish face paint and makeup that your fuhrer uses daily? He uses more than the average drag queen every single day. Plus he spends more time on his hair than any known woman on earth.
Got a link or any evidence of that? Trump would never spend a nickel of his own on anyone else. He even used government-bought paper towels to throw at hurricane victims in the Dominican Republic. My guess is that he gets his diapers for free, he loves charity when it is for himself. Are you on the waiting list to change his diaper for him, people are saying he raffles the opportunity off to cult members. Which is as accurate as any of your bizarre claims you make daily, in other words, bullshit.
