Gmenfan: If, heaven forbid, the cacklin' hen wins, Republicans should form a huge slush fund, $100's of billions, to bus migrants to Democratic areas, starting with The Hamptons. Even though I live in Maryland, I would love to see tens of thousands of Haitians and Venezuelans arrive in Montgomery County, Maryland and Washington, D.C. (Montgomery County is one of the most liberal places in the U.S. California has nothing on Montogomery County.)
Taos, New Mexico would be another good choice. Austin, Texas for sure. The overflow should be shipped to Beverly Hills and Silicon Valley (the former being Silicone Valley).

Democrats Invite Foreign Leader To Meddle In U.S. Elections
SCRANTON, PA — Democrats celebrated as foreign leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited an ammunition factory in the hotly contested swing state of Pennsylvania to meddle in U.S. elections.
The Ukrainian President was quick to publicly throw his support behind Kamala Harris while placing his signature on artillery rounds.
"If Donald Trump wins in November, he will end the war, and also my generous allowance of billions from the United States," said Zelenskyy. "Ukraine represents democracy and stuff. And Russia stands for not democracy or whatever. So a vote for Trump means you hate democracy. I am proud to endorse Kamala Harris, and I will prove my support by laundering millions of dollars I received from the U.S. government through various third parties until they end up in Democrat super PACs. It's the least I can do for democracy."
Democrats were enthusiastic about the endorsement. "We're very glad this foreign leader has chosen to meddle in our democracy," said Governor Josh Shapiro while placing his signature on various deadly weapons. "We invite other countries to meddle with our democracy on behalf of Democrats in order to save democracy."
At publishing time, Zelenskyy had been spotted in Philadelphia filling out mail-in ballots.

New Poll Shows Kamala With Huge Lead Among Deranged Assassin Demographic
U.S. — As survey organizations continued to release conflicting information about the closeness of the presidential race, a new poll released today showed Kamala Harris with a huge lead among the deranged assassin demographic.
The results of the poll, conducted by a private analytics firm, indicated a distinct shift of psychotic would-be murderers toward the Harris-Walz campaign in recent weeks, with an overwhelming majority of crazy assassins having a favorable view of the Vice President.
"She's the choice of disturbed, psycho killers everywhere," said Blake Rumsey, professor and lead researcher at the Foundation for Discerning Data, which conducted the poll. "It's almost as if deranged assassins all share the same political and social ideologies. The group of insane, murderous, miscreants we surveyed said they really identify with Vice President Harris and believe she best represents everything they stand for. They also stand with Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and other Democrats in their wish for Donald Trump to be removed from the equation… permanently, by all indications."
One mentally damaged potential assassin reached for comment confirmed the poll's results. "Oh, yeah, I'm a big Kamala fan," said the man who refused to give his name but admitted he was taking a road trip to visit Mar-a-Lago. "She's what I want in a president. Horrible policies, a bleak, totalitarian worldview, and a desire to see our enemies buried in the ground. I'm a deranged assassin, and I'm voting for Kamala!"
At publishing time, a subsequent poll also confirmed that Kamala Harris holds a commanding lead among Hollywood pedophiles.

An aid for Big Brother?
From Malwarebytes: Ford wants to eavesdrop on passenger conversations to help target ads
Posted: September 13, 2024 by Pieter Arntz
Essentially, the car you’re driving would not only spy on your driving behavior, your present and future locations, and your requested driving routes, but it would also eavesdrop on you. And let’s not forget the safety implications of displaying advertisements while you’re driving.
Car manufacturer Ford Motor Company has filed a patent application for an in-vehicle advertisement presentation system based on information derived from several trip and driver characteristics. Among those characteristics—human conversations.
In the abstract of the patent application publication Ford writes:
“An example method includes determining vehicle information for a trip, the vehicle information including any one or more of a current vehicle location, a vehicle speed, a drive mode, and/or traffic information, the user information including any one or more of a route prediction, a speed prediction for the trip, and/or a destination, determining user preferences for advertisements from any one or more of audio signals within the vehicle and/or historical user data, selecting a number of the advertisements to present to the user during the trip, and providing the advertisements to the user during the trip through a human-machine interface (HMI) of the vehicle.”
Further one it details that “the controller may monitor user dialogue to detect when individuals are in a conversation.”
Based on this info, the controller can decrease or increase the number of advertisements. And “the conversations can be parsed for keywords or phrases that may indicate where the occupants are travelling to.”
Okay.
Essentially, the car you’re driving would not only spy on your driving behavior, your present and future locations, and your requested driving routes, but it would also eavesdrop on you. And let’s not forget the safety implications of displaying advertisements while you’re driving.
We have spoken about cars and privacy at length and came to the conclusion they’re not very good at it. Many politicians in the US agree with that point of view. US senators have asked the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to investigate car makers’ privacy practices and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued General Motors for selling customer driving data to third parties.
We explained why car location tracking needs an overhaul and we’ve implored that automakers work together to help users by providing them with the ability to turn tracking features off (a serious vulnerability for people fleeing from an abusive relationship).
Yet nowhere in the entire document exists one word about how Ford intends to keep the acquired information secure. We’d advise all car companies remediate existing security vulnerabilities before introducing potential new ones.
What’s next, Ford? Will you stop working if we drive past one of the establishments that sponsor your ads? Or was that “feature” to disable a functionality of a component of the vehicle or to place the vehicle in a lockout condition only for the repossession plans you attempted to patent earlier on?
Another controversial Ford patent filed in July described technology that would enable vehicles to monitor the speed of nearby cars, photograph them and send the information to police.
In a statement to Fortune, the company clarified that filing a patent is a standard practice to explore new ideas and doesn’t necessarily indicate immediate plans to release such a system.
We realize that advertisements make the internet go round. Many useful websites could not exist without them. But do these in-vehicle advertisements benefit the owner of the car? If it makes the cars cheaper, I’d be willing to pay some extra to not be bothered and eavesdropped on while driving. How about you? Let us know in the comments.

Is Kamala Harris writing off North Carolina and Georgia?
By Monica Showalter
Kamala Harris is out campaigning at long last, but her schedule this week doesn't seem to include the swing states of the South.
Instead of campaigning in North Carolina (16 electoral college votes) and Georgia (16 votes), she's focused on Arizona (11 votes), Nevada (6 votes) and Pennsylvania (19 votes) this week.
Pennsylvania, I can understand. It's hotly contested. But her lunge for the Western states over the Southern states suggests maybe her chances aren't quite as good as she'd like. Or perhaps just as likely, she's alarmed at the inroads made by the Trump side of the contest in those Western redoubts, particularly Arizona, where Trump reportedly leads, polls show.
According to the New York Times:
Voters across the Sun Belt say that Donald J. Trump improved their lives when he was president — and worry that a Kamala Harris White House would not — setting the stage for an extraordinarily competitive contest in three key states, according to the latest polls from The New York Times and Siena College.
The polls found that Mr. Trump has gained a lead in Arizona and remains ahead in Georgia, two states that he lost to President Biden in 2020. But in North Carolina, which has not voted for a Democrat since 2008, Ms. Harris trails Mr. Trump by just a narrow margin.
The polls of these three states, taken from Sept. 17 to 21, presented further evidence that in a sharply divided nation, the presidential contest is shaping up to be one of the tightest in history.
So she's thrashing for a lead in these three swing states and she needs at least some of them to gain the 270 electoral college votes it takes to win, and she goes to the state with the lowest number of electoral college votes? The one where, according to CNN, Republican voter registrations over Democrat voter registrations have doubled to a six-point lead over the last election? The one where ads are being run by Catholic organizations, advising their large blocs of voters in the state of Harris's nasty record of singling Catholics out for persecutory legislation and lawfare?
It almost looks like the race is actually lost to her in Arizona, where as the Times notes, Trump is ahead, yet she's fighting to win Arizona instead of one of the other swing states with bigger electoral college numbers and easier odds?
Oh, you could note that she's also trying for Nevada since it's in the neighborhood apparently -- campaigning and winning in those two states together would get her 17 electoral votes, which is one vote more than either North Carolina or Georgia all by themselves could provide.
But like Arizona, Nevada seems like it might be a tough nut for Kamala to crack. More so than other states, including swing states, the state of the economy is a very big deal in Nevada.
According to NPR:
Schoenmann said the economy is top of mind. Most here have experienced cost of living increases since the pandemic.
Nevada also has the highest unemployment out of any state in the country at 5.4% with 6.7% in the Las Vegas area, compared to the national average of 4.2%.
With much of Southern Nevada — which includes Las Vegas — living on tips, higher prices “can really hit home,” Schoenmann said.
In addition, Nevada is growing fast — with an estimated 30% of new residents moving from California.
“They’re selling their homes in California for large sums of money. So they come here, they are buying homes over the asking price. And they’re driving up housing costs,” Schoenmann reported.
Nevada is the Trump economy advantage cubed, something she can never explain nor giggle her way out of to voters with this foremost on their minds.
So what we are seeing is that she could spend the same amount of time in Georgia and North Carolina to try to win, and if she does win, she takes home 32 electoral votes for her time spent.
But she's going for Arizona and Nevada with half as many votes instead.
It seems kind of weak to have to try to win two states instead of just one which could be done by winning either Georgia or North Carolina for the same amount of work.
That's kind of interesting. It makes me wonder if she has written those places off.
Or is she so confident she has them in the bag she can now focus on the Western swing states? I find that latter scenario harder to believe than the former one.
Oh, sure, she has hubby-poo Doug Emhoff out campaigning in North Carolina, but it's hard to see how a Hollywood entertainment lawyer who knocked up the nanny in his last marriage is going to make much of a difference over what she could do there herself.
More ominous still (for her), she's got him campaigning in Virginia for her, which up until now, hadn't been a state in play at all. That sounds like a rear-guard action.
So it's off to Arizona and Nevada for Kamala Harris, attempting to tell the Nevada voters the economy's great, or if it's not great, Trump did it, while in Arizona, she gets to tell everyone why she's not such a big Catholic-hater after all.
It makes no sense unless one can surmise that Democrats are probably panicking, fearful, as this Hill story indicates, that pollsters are undercounting her support as they did for the Democrat candidate in 2016, and repeating the same mistake now.
If that's the case, then Trump has smooth sailing ahead for him. Maybe he will have a good horse laugh as he takes the Southern states handily and watches Kamala fall flat on her face out west. Sure, it may be wishful thinking. But how else do we explain her apparent writing off of the vote-rich South?

Gunman offers $150,000 'bounty' for killing Trump in letter, DoJ releases it to the public
By Monica Showalter
Behavioral psychologists can tell you that mass shooters, terrorists, and undoubtedly assassins, love publicity for their evil acts. They like their names repeated over and over in the news. They like copycats stepping up to recreate their acts. And they no doubt love it when their offers to the public for more is spread far and wide, even in court cases against them
Which brings us to the odd case of the Trump golf course assassin-wannabe, Ryan Wesley Routh, who had been charged as a felon in possession of a firearm when he was apprehended last week attempting to escape after the Secret Service discovered him as he aimed his weapon through a fence in anticipation of the arrival of President Trump.
According to the Palm Beach Post:
WEST PALM BEACH — Federal prosecutors are poised to bring more criminal charges against Ryan Routh, the man accused of stalking former President Donald Trump and plotting to assassinate him while he golfed.
As it stands, the 58-year-old Routh faces a maximum of 20 years in prison for two federal firearms offenses. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Dispoto said Monday that additional evidence collected in the wake of Routh's arrest, including a handwritten letter detailing an attempt to kill Trump, supports a far more serious charge.
Dispoto said the government will convene a grand jury in hopes of indicting Routh on one count of attempting to kill a major political candidate, punishable by life in prison. The federal prosecutor gave U.S. District Judge Ryon McCabe an overview of new evidence against Routh during a pre-trial detention hearing Monday.
His presentation included anecdotes from an e-book Routh wrote in February 2023, a year and a half before investigators say he aimed a semiautomatic rifle across Trump International Golf Club near West Palm Beach.
The handwritten letter, which had been given to an undisclosed source in North Carolina months earlier, encased in a box full of junk, ammo, phones and other letters that hadn't been opened until Routh was captured and in the news, was addressed "Dear World." It said:
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
Now, it may have been that the prosecutors wanted to add the attempted assassination charges onto this dirtbag and this was the best proof of his intentions out there. They also found that he had an escape plan to Mexico, and multiple phones and pairs of gloves on him as if he had planned everything in advance.
Why he wrote the letter is strange, it's possible there were other letters in that box addressing "the world" which were to be read in case the attempt succeeded.
But the federal prosecutors released this one, which rather accurately seems to indicate that he meant to kill Trump. He also got it out there that he failed and he wanted others to try as a result.
Just the release of his call to action to the public is what has raised eyebrows among many. Whether he has that cash he promises, and where he got it from is another issue. But right now, it amounts to an encouragement for more assassination attempts, just as he wants, which seems rather contrary to the law enforcement goal of shutting him down for good.
Even former Attorney General Bill Barr, who is no friend of Trump's, told Fox News he found it pretty abnormal, given the legal options they had.
"I was dumbfounded that the DOJ made public this morning the contents of the letter that, Ryan Routh, left with an acquaintance prior to the attempted assassination of former President Trump," Barr said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
"The letter calls on people to ‘finish the job’ of killing President Trump, attempts to rouse people in incendiary terms to do so, and offers $150,000 to anyone who succeeds. There was no apparent justification for releasing this information at this stage," he continued.
Barr, who served during both the Trump and George H. W. Bush administrations, says that "DOJ had more than enough evidence to have Routh detained pending trial, without publicizing these details."
"Even if DOJ thought it important to provide the letter to the court, it could have redacted inflammatory material or arranged to have the letter submitted under seal. It was rash to put out this letter in the midst of an election during which two attempts on the life of President Trump had been made," Barr said.
It's nerve-wracking, really, because freaks like Routh love nothing better than publicity for their acts, and rousing the other loonies out there is exactly what he wants done. It's almost as if the prosecution wants the evil act to be done even as they work to put Routh away, given the way they are going about this.
The leading FBI agent on the case is a notorious Trump-hater and had to be told to scrub his social media posts before he could get promoted to the top post in the Miami field office. Does this letter release inspire confidence in his judgment if he was involved in this?
It should also be noted that the previous assassination attempt investigation has been horribly botched with destroyed evidence, bad security, and inexcusable communication failures, meaning, it's rather par for the course that these investigators don't seem terribly interested in getting to the bottom of what is happening.
President Trump has shifted course, too, in the wake of this flawed judgment in releasing the letter. He had been effusive about how good law enforcement had been in catching the would-be killer and acting professionally in keeping him safe, and nothing he has said since would contradict that.
But he has released a statement saying he wanted the state of Florida to continue this investigation and prosecution now, having lost confidence in the feds.

The Grim Specter Haunting America
By Sally Zelikovsky
A specter is haunting America. A collective melancholy that all is not okay at home.
The solutions Trump offers for our national malaise are only a short-term fix. The problems (e.g., economy, immigration, national security) can all be addressed and, to a certain extent, fixed by a one-term president. However, what’s ailing our country requires delving into the pith of America. Our infirmities require long-term solutions. They cannot be remedied overnight by any single individual or administration—even one controlling the House and Senate.
Many of us have experienced our malaise firsthand. If we haven’t, friends and family have. If they’ve been spared, it’s in every news report: rampant suicides, addictions, homelessness, unpunished violent crime, a border clobbered by hordes of criminals and terrorists, towns inundated with illegal immigrants dropped at their doorsteps and draining their public services, intra-familial murder with parents killing children and children killing parents, the elderly beaten by hoodlums, children changing their gender, drag queens enticing our kids.
Our streets aren’t safe, our schools aren’t safe, our malls aren’t safe, and our presidential candidates aren’t safe.
We send our loving, mentally intact children off to college only for them to return politically and culturally radicalized, addicted to drugs, and treated with medications for a long list of entirely new mental conditions. Parents are legally obligated to foot the bills but are foreclosed from participating in their care. Their consent is required for deprogramming, but the professional deprogrammers have mostly bought into the narrative.
This affects us all because our children’s health and security define America’s future. It matters when teachers and administrators who seek to “queer the schools” manipulate young people’s mental well-being and sense of self. The “educators” want to obliterate the family and remake bewildered children in their image. Repeatedly telling a child his/her gender is malleable and that exploring it will cure any feelings of being different, lonely, or unpopular (things we’ve all felt) only serves to muddy the waters.
Confused and anxious about their gender, children are increasingly more suggestible; put them on medication or radical doses of hormones, and they are even more so. It can even lead Audrey Hale to shoot up a school or Mia Bailey to murder “her” parents.
Increasingly, more young adults are mentally and emotionally unfit to rear children, assuming they even want families. After all, children are routinely told humanity is a threat to the Earth, making traditional coupling, wedlock, and families anathema.
These disaffected youngsters don’t care about their parents and grandparents. Who will take care of them in their dotage? AI and robots? Given the exponential advancement of robust AI and robotics in the last ten years, this is not that far-fetched. Japan’s already trying it, although some lonely old people opt for the humanity of jail.
The traditional 40-hour work week is under threat. Young people also don’t want to work with their hands.
Sperm counts are down. Men have been feminized, and women masculinized. Young men don’t know how to act—they’re either too toxic or too pajama-boyish to attract the gals. Women are too aggressive and mean to attract guys. Being gay is no longer just for gays but has become a default landing pad for men and women who cannot find or tolerate one another.
We no longer trust the very people we were raised to trust: our teachers, the police, clergymen, coaches, our neighbors, our families, and now our government.
For those of us old enough to remember, everything that was no longer is:
G-d is for idiots and religion for the uneducated masses. Criminals are never at fault. “All cops are bastards.” All whites are supremacists. All men are toxic. Kids can be furries. Men can menstruate. “Transwomen are women.” Killing is bad but abortion is good. Democrats abhor violence, but Trump must be stopped by any means necessary. January 6th was an insurrection, but deadly BLM riots were protected speech. Israel has a right to defend itself but must not be allowed to defend itself. Iran can be trusted to use our tax dollars for good. The economy is strong while companies go bankrupt and jobs are eliminated. What inflation? The border is secure. What illegal aliens? America is racist. Equity, not equality. Only Black Lives Matter. Whites created the law, math, the arts, religion, and science, so they must be discarded. 2+2=5? 2+2=whatever you want it to be. Covid vaccines, masks, and staying home will save us from the very disease that Fauci funded and that killed millions. What really happened in Wuhan? What really happened in Butler? Palm Beach? Who leaked the SCOTUS decision? Racism is okay if it's against whites and white-adjacent groups. Virginia may be for lovers, but Palestine is for Queers.
This anti-American incoherence attacks an America that no longer exists, a formerly insular nation run mostly by wealthy WASPs who routinely discriminated against all other religions and races. Although always a melting pot, America had what wokies called “othering.” But, because of the system our Founders put in place, we changed, becoming a nation accepting of others, where anyone could rise to power and fame or even occupy the White House.
For all of America’s sometimes shameful faults over the centuries, no other nation has come so close to forming a more perfect union, making one out of the many. And no other nation attracts people from all walks of life to her borders.
We are connected by our Americanism, the values attached to that Americanism, our language, and our borders. Unlike other nations, we lack shared DNA and an ancient common heritage. We are a melting pot that took some time to cure but has come to accept the various ingredients that go into it.
However, as America became more accepting of its diverse parts, leftists ensured that it unraveled, a sixty-year effort that degraded the American psyche and eroded the American soul. Eliminating odious racism has morphed into reverse or revenge racism against whites and white-adjacent groups.
We give food, shelter, medical care, and jobs and provide travel to illegal aliens using funds that should aid legal residents and citizens.
Working in concert, the Democrat-media complex, the LGBTQ+ cartel, academics, and teachers’ unions have turned gender on its head to confuse several generations of children who must navigate the already-confusing times of childhood and adolescence, grappling with what 98% of humankind once took for granted: that we were either a boy or a girl.
By redefining “marriage,” we opened Pandora’s Box to the pronoun wars, the transgender agenda, and a hodgepodge of gender identifications. Once you futz with the meaning of words, there is no end to the societal chaos. We cannot even define what a woman is.
Nothing is as it is supposed to be, and no amount of euphoria for our candidate or disgust with the Democrat-media complex and our current administration can dispel the despondence we feel watching our beloved America swirl down the pipes.
Like many of you, I have moments of deep despair and question how the final third of my life will shake out, what my children’s futures will bring, and how my grandchildren might fare.
But we must have faith. The pendulum always swings back, although before it settles into a nice rhythm, anything can happen.
We are in that “anything can happen” moment. We know, deep down, that Trump’s election, even with the House and Senate, is not a cure-all for America’s ills. We know, deep down, that the fight for America will continue way past a Trump presidency. We know, deep down, Trump 47 will not end what ails us, but will be the beginning of a very exhausting, existential fight for an America lost.
We have no choice: we must be ever vigilant and relentless in pursuing an America regained. We have no choice but to Fight! Fight! Fight!

Trump, Tariffs, and the Pennsylvania Pitch
Stark warnings and promises of production.
by Kelli Ballard | Sep 24, 2024
Former President Donald Trump hit the campaign trail in Pennsylvania yesterday (Sept. 23), speaking to a forum of farmers in the all-important swing state. With John Deere tractors framing the background, he made it very clear that he doesn’t support companies moving any part of their business out of the country, and if they do, he’ll impose a hefty tariff should he regain the Oval Office.
Trump Promises 200% Tariffs
John Deere recently announced plans to move some production of its tractors, such as cab assembly, to Mexico, which resulted in layoffs at Iowa facilities. “I’m just notifying John Deere right now,” Trump said. “If you do that, we’re putting a 200% tariff on everything that you want to sell into the United States.” He added, “It’s hurting our farmers It’s hurting our manufacturing.” The presidential candidate’s announcement had an immediate impact on the stock market as shares of Deere dropped 1.7% in after-hours trading.
The tractor company wasn’t the only one put on notice. Trump also sent a message to automakers with factories in Mexico. “We’re going to put big tariffs on those cars that are coming in here at 100% to 200%, and they’re no longer going to be competitive, so you better stay in Michigan.”
Responding to a statement by one farmer regarding Chinese subsidies, Trump said, “That’s why we need tariffs.” China held nearly 250,000 acres of US land at the end of 2022, according to the US Department of Agriculture. After a Chinese billionaire was able to buy more than 130,000 acres near an Air Force base in Texas, and another company tried to build a corn plant near an Air Force base in North Dakota, 24 states either banned or limited foreigners from owning certain types of private land.
A Steel Town Pitch
Staying with the topic of keeping manufacturing at home, Trump spoke on the proposed acquisition of US Steel by Japan’s Nippon Steel. “We are also going to keep US steel right here in the United States,” he vowed. “We have to be strong and powerful together. We must put tariffs on foreign predators – they are predators – so that they don’t destroy our steel industry.” His message got a little more personal, saying:
“We must keep our steel companies. And we must keep making steel. If we have a war, are we going to go, ‘Gee, China, can you send us some steel, please?’ Oh, forget about that. If we have a war, think of it: if we need it for our military, how do we build our tanks? How do we build our ships? We wouldn’t have any steel. We have to make US Steel great again.”
Voter Outreach
The former president wasn’t all tariff talk, though. He also called out to Christians and gun owners, saying they needed to vote. “They go to church. They love church and that’s great. Christians, Evangelicals, we have to get them out to vote. We have to get gun owners… If
Mr. Trump claimed if he had been elected in 2020, the Russia-Ukraine war wouldn’t have happened, and if he’s elected this year, he’s going to put an end to it. “As president-elect, if I win this election, the first thing I’m going to do is call up [Ukraine President Volodymyr] Zelensky and call up [Russian] President Putin and I’m going to say, ‘You gotta make a deal.’”
Trump hit on several other hot-button issues such as immigration and the economy. He also had a message about his adversary, Kamala Harris. “She’s a one-woman economic wrecking ball and if she gets four more years, her radical agenda will smash the economy into rubble and grind your financial situation right into the dust,” he said. “She wants to take your guns away. She’s coming for your money. She’s coming for your pensions, and she’s coming for your savings.”
From iconic companies to the backbone of American industry, the former president made the case for his re-election to possibly the most significant state in the union (in Electoral College terms). It was a targeted sales pitch that almost certainly hit home with an audience that has long been under pressure. As both major party candidates spend an outsized portion of their time and treasure on Pennsylvania, it will likely be the messaging that makes the ultimate difference.

Jesse Watters Raises SERIOUS Questions About Trump's Would-Be Assassin
1. How was Ryan Routh, “a man with no money for child support,” able to suddenly start living in a pricey house in Hawaii and afford flights to Taiwan, Turkey, Poland, and Ukraine?
2. Why has Routh “never served a day in jail” when he has “100 different counts” to his name?
3. Why was Routh’s fiancée, who just lost her job at Victoria’s Secret, okay with him flying to Ukraine for months at a time?
4. How was he able to feed himself in Ukraine when he only had “$68 in [his] bank account.”
5. “And everywhere he goes, he gets press from the local papers to the New York Times to Newsweek.”
The whole thing stinks, and it suggests that someone other than Routh's “fiancée” was supporting him.

Are these good enough for the lame brains in charge?
Very astute statement, you are a very wise person.
Yet, not far from it with the libs in charge!
A Harris revelation would be to put two words together coherently without the aid of assistance.
Idiocracy. Dumb movie? Maybe but it is US and we're almost there.
But but but Gmenfan. Those are all liberals and democrats.

Hi Al. I believe you can lower your statement regarding the amount of brain required. Those with an an IQ of 50 or below are quite susceptible to being duped!!!
Hey Gmenfan-
There HAS to be some financial incentive for them to lie like that. Shades of 2020 and the liars about the laptop. You have to have only half a brain to believe them anymore.

BBA v. COS: One Clear Choice
Published in Blog on September 13, 2024 by Article V Patriot
Article V provides two methods to propose constitutional amendments—one controlled by Congress and one controlled by the state legislatures. In the last two years, there has been a significant renewal of interest in employing the state-based method for proposing amendments to the Constitution. This newfound interest in Article V arises largely from the belief that the Congress will never propose amendments that impose meaningful restrictions on federal power.
There are only two “Article V” movements that have made significant progress: the Balanced Budget Amendment and Convention of States. The first (BBA) seeks one single amendment requiring the federal government to adopt a balanced budget. The second (COS) seeks broad limitations on federal power—specifically, “imposing fiscal restraints on the federal government, limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and imposing term limits on federal officials.”
Convention of States was launched in the fall of 2013, and in its first year secured passage of a formal application from the legislatures of Georgia, Florida, and Alaska. In total, 19 states have passed the COS resolution.
The BBA project has been underway for over forty years and has secured a variety of applications in a great number of states. However, determining the current number of states that have a valid, pending BBA application presents a challenge. Two issues make counting difficult. First, there is significant variance among the language of the various BBA applications, which raises potential problems with aggregation. Second, many states have rescinded their prior BBA applications. We will discuss these legal issues below in Section 4.
COS is working to pass applications with identical operative language in 34 states. This ensures that no issues of aggregation can arise. Moreover, no states have rescinded a COS application.
There are at least five significant reasons why a state legislature should adopt a COS application even if it has already adopted a valid BBA application.
1. There is no rule against a state passing two or more applications.
Every Article V application from a state legislature must identify its purpose. There have been over 400 applications in the history of the Republic, and yet there has never been an Article V convention because two-thirds of the states have never agreed on the subject matter. There have been countless occasions when a state has passed a second or third application for a convention on a different topic, even while a prior application was still pending.
This historical practice reflects common sense. There may be multiple issues that states want to see addressed through a constitutional amendment. And the process of building a coalition of 34 states is sufficiently daunting that the states see the wisdom in supporting multiple efforts that use varying approaches to accomplish their goals.
2. Only the COS application seeks to restore federalism.
The BBA seeks to prohibit the federal government from taking the nation even deeper into debt. This is, of course, a worthy goal, and one that COS supports. However, we also seek to address the root cause of the problem. The root cause of debt is excessive federal spending. And the cause of excessive spending is, at least in significant part, entitlement and other domestic programs that are within the exclusive jurisdiction of the states under the original meaning of the Constitution.
As of 2024, the U.S. government will spend $1.2 trillion on interest payments. More than 20 percent of the national budget goes to Social Security; 14 percent goes to Medicare. This is untenable and leaves our nation’s infrastructure and defense at great risk. A BBA alone will not cure this problem. We must restrict Congress’ virtually unlimited power to spend.
In the Obamacare decision, Chief Justice Roberts’ majority ruling held that there is no constitutional limitation on the power of Congress to tax and spend. This is the core problem. And, we must fix it. This means a return to the states of exclusive jurisdiction for several areas of government expenditure.
Not only has Congress invaded the province of the states with regard to domestic spending, it has increasingly taken charge of state governments by means of conditional federal grants. Congress coerces the states to do its bidding by taking money from taxpayers (current or future), and then offering federal funding for mandated programs.
This leaves the state legislatures in the structural position of being unable to achieve their central mission—representing the voters of their own states. Rather, state legislators are effectively required to do the will of Congress. This is a clear violation of the principles of a Republican form of government.
Regaining true federalism is not just a matter of insisting on adherence to the original meaning of the Constitution. If freedom is to survive, we must return to the structural designs of a robust federalism, with a truly limited federal government. Only COS seeks to address this core issue.
3. There are other structural issues with the federal government that require immediate attention.
Article I, Section 1 of the Constitution commands that all federal laws must be made by Congress. But the Executive Branch, through both executive orders and bureaucratic regulations, makes an ever-escalating percentage of the federal laws that are crippling our economy. This problem is persistent regardless of which political party controls the White House.
The Supreme Court has, on approximately thirty occasions, acknowledged that the only limitation on its power is the Court’s own sense of self-restraint. We must apply appropriate checks and balances to the Supreme Court.
We see the State Department and many in the United States Senate increasingly enamored with the idea that international law should govern the domestic policy of the United States. Under the Supremacy Clause, all state laws and state constitutions must yield to any ratified international treaty. We need to limit the treaty power to the international sphere and not allow it to invade the domestic authority of the states.
The chief reasons for the growth of the federal government involve misuse of the General Welfare Clause and the Commerce Clause. Both of these need to be returned to their original meaning.
We need to have a serious discussion on the issue of term limits for members of Congress and the federal judiciary. (For example, federal judges could be limited to one term without reappointment for a set number of years as determined by the states at convention. A single term would continue to guarantee judicial independence without creating a sense of permanent judicial supremacy.)
All of these issues can be effectively addressed under the language of the model COS application. None of these issues can be addressed under the BBA application.
4. COS avoids legal issues presented by the BBA which will likely result in lengthy delays.
At one time or another, 34 state legislatures have applied for a BBA convention. However, ten of these applications have since been rescinded. Moreover, there is considerable variation in the language of BBA applications. Consider some examples:
The 2014 application from Ohio calls for a convention limited to “proposing an amendment to the United States Constitution requiring that in the absence of a national emergency the total of all federal appropriations made by the Congress for any fiscal year may not exceed the total of all estimated federal revenues for that fiscal year, together with any related and appropriate fiscal restraints.”
On the other hand, the current Maryland application calls for a convention to propose a specific amendment, providing that “The total of all Federal appropriations made by the Congress for any fiscal year may not exceed the total of the estimated Federal revenues for that fiscal year, excluding any revenues derived from borrowing; and this prohibition extends to all Federal appropriations and all estimated Federal revenues, excluding any revenues derived from borrowing.” It goes on to specify circumstances under which the requirement could be suspended.
Mississippi’s application also calls for the proposal of a specifically-worded amendment, but its language is different from Maryland’s proposal. Mississippi’s language would prohibit congressional appropriations that would exceed revenues in a given fiscal year, but also requires that the national debt be repaid within a specified timeline at a specified rate, etc.
Still other states’ resolutions for a BBA demonstrate additional variations on the theme.
This raises a very serious concern about aggregation. While Congress has a very limited role in the state-initiated process of proposing amendments, legislative practice and the text of Article V suggest that Congress determines when 34 states have applied for a convention on the same subject.
The reality is that if the state applications are not uniform or essentially uniform (as to their operative language), Congress will be entitled to make a political judgment about whether the applications should be aggregated. If there is a simple majority in both houses of Congress that favor an Article V convention to consider a BBA, then Congress will likely grant a great deal of latitude on the issue of aggregation. However, if a majority of either house of Congress is opposed to either the idea of a Balanced Budget Amendment or the convening of an Article V convention in general, Congress would “interpret” the applications very narrowly and conclude that 34 states have not applied for a convention on the same subject.
Regardless of which way the vote goes, litigation will certainly follow to test the question of aggregation. And while good substantive arguments can be made to bolster the notion that aggregation should be broadly accepted rather than narrowly confined, the courts would likely avoid deciding this question.
In fact, it is very likely that the Supreme Court will take the position that the question of aggregation is a political question whenever the state applications are not identical or essentially identical as to their operative language.
Litigation on this point would add two to four years to the process of calling a BBA convention, because the legal issues will be viewed as important and sufficiently close to merit full consideration.
In short, litigation will prolong the process, and whatever Congress decides on the BBA aggregation issue is likely to be affirmed in the courts.
Convention of States avoids this problem altogether. Our strategy is for 34 states to commit to adopting our model language for the operative portion of their applications, thus precluding any legitimate question about aggregation. Congress will have no cause to make a political judgment, and the courts will enforce the direct language of Article V forcefully upon such facts.
5. Our nation doesn’t have time to wait and see what will happen with BBA before it tackles the issues raised by COS.
The problems our nation faces are complex and urgent. If we are going to preserve liberty, restore self-governance and prevent an economic collapse, we must act promptly.
Since there is no barrier to prevent a state from passing both BBA and COS applications, there is every reason to proceed with both applications as quickly as possible in as many states as possible.

Tucker Carlson says American Government is so out of control, it’s the worst he’s ever seen anywhere in the world
“I've never seen any population treated the way Americans are being treated by their leaders now.”
“I'm very worried that at some point, people would be like, I'm not putting up with this. I don't know why anybody pays taxes in this country. For the record, I'm not counseling not pay your taxes because I don't wanna get arrested. But I just don't understand the consent level in this country is still incredibly high. Maybe we're just, like, moving through the motions or something.
All the good people are the people they lecture and call names. And because they are good people, they're dutiful people, and they just do what they think they're supposed to do. But I don't know why they're doing it. Why would you send a dollar to people who laugh over your death?”
— “Like Steve Bannon right now is in federal prison for not committing a crime. They do this, by the way, to chill the population, to remind you that that your door could get knocked on next.”

How bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua used NYC migrant shelters to build a criminal empire: ‘Hiding in plain sight’
By Joe Marino and Jorge Fitz-Gibbon Published Sep. 23, 2024, 6:00 a.m. ET
In little more than a year, a once-obscure South American street gang has taken hold in the Big Apple, exploiting the migrant crisis to build a violent criminal enterprise from within the walls of city shelters.
Tren de Aragua, a Venezuela-bred crew of thugs, now terrorize Gotham with gun-toting, moped-riding hoods, sell illegal guns under the very noses of private shelter security guards, and run sleazy prostitution rings in neighborhoods suddenly besieged by the marauding migrants.
The gang, which also peddles a lethal fentanyl mix called Tussi or “pink cocaine,” has grown so fast that it has so far overwhelmed both average New Yorkers and the city’s elite police force.
“Not every migrant is here to commit crimes, not every migrant is a gang member,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny. “But these TDA guys hide very well in plain sight in the migrant community.
“We aren’t looking to grab the food delivery guy, but these guys go so far as to wear Uber Eats clothing, [use] the delivery bags while they’re out there committing their crimes,” the chief told The Post. “When we do arrest them, they are very eager to talk about the crime they have committed.

Anguished dad fights to ban suicidal substance son bought for just $13
“They are unwilling to talk about TDA itself.”
The gang, whose name means “train from Aragua” (a state in north-central Venezuela) in Spanish, now runs citywide theft and robbery crews that have terrorized neighborhoods.
In Jackson Heights, a stretch of Roosevelt Avenue dubbed the “Market of Sweethearts” has become a testament to TDA’s muscle and influence, with vendors peddling stolen items and an open-air red light district that has migrant hookers walking the streets day and night.
A 24-hour brothel raided by the NYPD last week may have ties to the gang, sources said.
Long list of victims
One current crime spree has seen nearly two dozen heists pulled off by migrants wielding guns or knives, with the crooks typically as young as 15 and no older than 19 years old, law enforcement sources said.
The crews move in groups of a half-dozen or more, and raid not only retailers but average New Yorkers: One victim was approached by a TDA gang and threatened with a knife, slugged and robbed in June.
In July, another victim was lounging near the Central Park playground when two thugs forcibly stole $80 and grabbed his phone, making him give up his password before running off.
And last month, a woman walking near Rockefeller Center was pickpocketed by another migrant.
The NYPD also recently shut down a major gang-linked robbery crew, with nearly two dozen migrant teens either busted or identified as suspects in 21 separate and often violent robberies.
Once in the US, Tren de Aragua members branched out all over the country, setting up shop in various states and cities, including New York and Chicago.
NY Post Composite
“They were like, ‘We need your phone, we need your stuff,’ because I had my bag with me, my phone, AirPods, Apple Watch,” one victim told The Post. “They wanted everything, but I couldn’t give anything because I had some money, I had some things in my bag.
“They started and punched me to the face,” he said. “I was stepping back, you know, trying to fight back, but I couldn’t do anything. And then five more guys came in, total, like, minimum, 10 of them.”
With little regard for law enforcement, TDA gangbangers are also not shy about targeting cops.
Gang member Bernardo Castro Mata, 19, was arrested in Queens in June and charged with shooting NYPD officers Richard Yarusso and Christian Abreu after they nabbed the gun-toting robbery suspect.
In February, suspected gang member Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, just 15, was busted for allegedly firing at a tourist and a police officer in Times Square.
A month earlier, a cowardly gang of migrants with alleged links to the gang jumped two NYPD cops in the same area, and one of them, identified as Jhoan Boada, 22, was so brazen as to flash reporters the double bird as he walked out of court without bail.
‘Very bad people’
For the majority of asylum seekers, the gang is a stain on their community, and an example of the rampant violence and lawlessness that forced them to leave their homelands in the first place.
“I wouldn’t want the violence I grew up with to start here,” one Venezuelan migrant at Manhattan’s Roosevelt Hotel said Sunday. “I wouldn’t be here if I saw what I saw in Venezuela. I brought my kids here so they wouldn’t have the experiences with criminals like how it is over there.”
Another migrant simply called the gang “very bad people.”
Ground zero for TDA’s New York City operation is Randall’s Island, where a massive tent city was erected to help accommodate the wave of migrants from the US border.
Kenny called it “the main hub site.”
“You have the shelter itself and also have kind of like a tent city where people who are not registered to be in the shelter have taken up residence on their own,” the chief said.
He said one migrant dealer busted by the cops “didn’t want to go onto Randall’s because it’s too dangerous. There’s a lot of people there that don’t belong — it’s a congregation of people.”
But they’ve infiltrated other shelters: Sources said one TDA bigwig was booted from the massive Hall Street shelter in Brooklyn for breaking the rules, but returns every other day to collect the proceeds from drug sales at the facility and to smooth over any beefs between gang members.
International feud
The 4,000-bed shelter is also home to a rival Venezuelan gang called “El Carro De Lost Caragijos 666,” which has a beef with TDA that predates its arrival in the US.
Tren began to expand out of its home base in 2018, and popped up on the radar of the Venezuelan military when it resorted to assassination and bribes to win lucrative railroad contracts in the city of Maracay — and soon established chapters elsewhere in South America.
Members sneaked into the US among the millions of migrants who crossed the border, and set up shop across the nation, from cities like El Paso and Chicago to Florida beaches and Middle America.
Members are told to get distinctive tattoos that mark them as members, with the body art typically including anchors, clocks, crowns and phrases that included the word “guerrero” — which means warrior in Spanish but also pays homage to Hector “Nino” Guerrero, the leader of Tren de Aragua in Venezuela.
The gang tats also tend to feature the number “23” or NBA stars Michael Jordan and LeBron James, both of whom wear the number on their jerseys, while others include images of bulls, seemingly a shout-out to the Chicago Bulls basketball team, a city where TDA has flourished, sources said.
Just last week, an immigration enforcement source told The Post that the gang has also expanded into New Jersey, in part with new recruits plucked from the Big Apple.
Shelters are the focus
In New York, TDA recruiters worked city shelters to enlist new members, many of them strong-armed into joining their ranks under the threat of having their families targeted by the gang.
Any asylum seekers who refuse to join are labeled “Culebra” — an enemy of TDA.
With many job-seeking migrants taking food delivery jobs, TDA exploited the industry by putting armed robbers and even hit men on mopeds and scooters, often posing as deliverymen.
Guns and drugs were smuggled into shelters like Randall’s Island inside food deliver bags — which are rarely searched or put through metal detectors by security, sources told The Post.
Migrant hit teams also use the scooters to eliminate rivals or breakaway gangbangers, with a driver and gunman on the two-wheelers and gang members keeping tabs from nearby cars, the sources said.
The sources said TDA members are not shy about opening fire on cops, a standard practice back home in Venezuela, where shooting at police typically means you can get away.
When nabbed in New York, TDA gang members have spilled their guts about their crimes — but most refuse to fess up to their affiliation with the vicious and vindictive gang for fear of retribution.

It is Your Economy .. yours, mine, our family, friends and neighbors -- EVERYONE to some degree is touched by the markets and their behavior. So we should be aware of the various mechanisms that make the markets and our economy tick. We live in a new era where politics, rumor, weather and just about anything you can think of effects the markets and our economy in some way, shape or form. Like it or not we are globally tied at the hip and in this new era where the advent of technology and the internet pushes information to the edge of the envelope, we can only hope to keep up with the many challenges ahead and the speed at which they develop. Technology is a double-edged sword and unfortunately can be used for good as well as evil, it just depends on who is holding the sword. This board was created to follow news, markets, stocks, cycles, trends, indicators and most of all to communicate and share ideas. Humor and Cartoons are welcome here, it breaks up the monotony from time to time and I am alays game for a good joke. I enjoy data mining, especially for info that the MSM (Main Stream Media) fail to or are not allowed to report. We must see things from all angles and aspects in order to verify what is true and what is false, basically becoming more atune to separating the wheat from the chaff. Hopefully in the long run this will help us all to make better and more sound decisions. This board is/was basically an information board, but all are welcome to post, (actually I encourage it because looking through another's eyes gives more perspective on issues). We can never learn too much about these ever changing times and the economy at hand.
* I have only a couple of rules and that is if you should post; NO PURE POLITICS or RELIGION and as always expected, please PLAY NICE !!!
>>>
>>>
NOTE: What is meant by "pure politics" as stated in this boards' iBox decriptiion is just that.., it has no real ties to the economy and is mainly a composition of political innuendo. As I assume most of you know, it is difficult at times to separate politics from the economy due to the fact that politics plays a very large part in our everyday lives; be it on an economical, personal or other level altogether. Therefore this has created problems in the discernment of which posts should stay or go due to their leaning too far toward the political side and are slight on economic issues. As hard as my assistants and I try, we cannot please everyone. But we do what we do and want to be fair, we do want what should stay as part of this forums curricular. Everyone has an opinion and/or wants to be heard and I will do whatever I can to help ensure that is what takes place and hopefully most will not feel as though they are being targeted or alienated.
In the end all I can ask is that you be patient if a post of yours has been deleted, yet it has economic undertones that state otherwise and you feel should remain. If you feel you have been wronged - relax, sit back and PM me and I will make a final judgement. I am rather liberal, therefore more times than not I most likely will restore your post if it has merit and/or fallen between the cracks. Things happen or are interpreted differently and sometimes incorrectly, we are human. So do NOT throw a hissy fit nor become a foul mouth fool. Also PM harassment is frowned upon and should carry a level of disciplinary action, but I will leave that up to iHub Admin. Besides all that life is too precious to spend in a tirade. These types of behavior will get you no where except a closer view of the exit.. Treat people as you would like to be treated and we can work through most issues. It all starts with civil dialogue, respect for another's opinion even if not agreed upon. An agreement to disagree is the way I like to see things conclude when minds cannot meld. Just because an agreement cannot be reached does not mean we automatically have to trash another for their views and/or opinions. Let's face it, we all want better, we all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves and we all want to gain an edge in the game of life. This cannot be accomplished without an open mind and a certain level of tolerance for all that speak out.
As a matter of fact I encourage as many of you as possible to post, even if it is just once a month. You don't have to take the world by storm, it could be about something as simple as a neighborhood observation such as more homes up for sale than in months past or how empty the parking lots are at a traditionally known hot spot. Post an article or commentary that hits close to home, test the waters and see if others have seen similar events around the country. We have at our fingertips virtually 100s of libraries of information and cyber chat connections we can use to find out how different aspects of the economy are doing all around the nation. I truly believe we all have a lot to contribute and share and while we all will never see eye to eye on every subject or then again maybe none at all, but different points of view may enhance our own outlook or the way we see and do things. Right or wrong, the world is constantly evolving and technology will begin to pick up speed by leaps and bounds So we could serve each other better if we take what is posted for face value instead of an opportunity to lambaste someone that sees things in a different light than our own preconditioned mindset. When opposing views are met with hostile impositions it is of no service to anyone. I certainly would not want a cult following or a bunch of "yes" men setting the tone for this forum, I want diversity !!! Variety is the spice of life !!! You cannot expand your horizons if you automatically shut down and feel as though you have it all figured out. I got news for you, you don't and you won't until you are lying on your death bed. I do not care who you are or how worldly and educated you may be, we never stop learning unless we hold ourselves back with preconceived notions. Knowledge IS Power...
AND if you should feel the need to post on an otherwise different, yet similar stage:
Your Economy OT - Conspiracy, Politics, Religion, Terrorism, War (whatever else you can think of) (YE2OT)
It's open and ready for business. Over there you can post whatever you like to your hearts content, especially political/economic articles and commentary that does not quite fit in at YE1. So now you have 2 boards - One for economics, markets, trends, data, news, commentary, etc. - a more serious site for those who want the straight dope. And now the YE2OT board for everything else. I will play Moderator, but I am taking applications for an assistant who would control 90%+ of the interaction over there.
If people choose, they can travel between boards if they need a fix of some controlled chaos at YE2OT and then want some cold hard facts as (YE1) was intended.
I want everyone to have a voice, now you have a choice .. enjoy
