Sister Board:
SOS Changes
Hello to all Secretary of State members. I would like at this time to direct your attention to our sister thread, SOS Changes. In my opinion, it is one of the bright spots of iHub. It's moderator (levelnever), and his assistants ( $treet Trader, The Rainmaker, Mark, wakingbake) really work hard to provide an excellent place to notify it's members of any and all information ("good or bad") that can found pertains to recent SOS changes.
Please boardmark the SOS Changes thread and use it post your stock specific changes that you find from a SOS.
It would also be much apprecitated if you would please Personmark the Mods
nice board.
person mark for you and marked the board.
Cheers!
~A.
See a couple of familiar smart cats here. Board and mods have been marked!

Great idea for a board, thanks! Got it BM'kd
Thanks, creede, sure will...
Thanks jobynimble and welcome to the thread..!
If you have any interesting notes on any of the states then please post it.
AKAPAK,
welcome to the thread, and thank you for the good words!
Investing (or should I say maneuvering) the OTC market is one heck of a challenge. I believe if we stay on top of the DD, then the decisions can be made in time that will make all the difference.
Of course, I have to be willing to accept what is most likely to occur, even if it goes against what I was really hoping for most.
Thanks for the invite to a great resource. Bigger thanks for all the work on your part.
"now this is an Ihub board that really helps the members" - you can quote me on that! :)
My pleasure. I've been looking for a long time to create a thread that may actually help myself, and others to make better investing decisions. I believe the only way to do that is with quick and accurate data.
That's alot of work. It is appreciated.
Great idea, creede, bm'ed...
Alright. Finally got all the links complete. I looked through all the available options at each SOS, and tried to link to the one that appeared most useful. I have not used most of them, so I many not have picked the absolute best one. If you should notice one not working, or if you find something more direct, then please let me know.
I hope this helps to make the SOS due diligence easier for everyone.
Thanks Helmsman, and welcome to the thread..!
Just finished editing another row of state links in the ibox. Every link up to New Hampshire is now working. One "click" should take you straight to the SOS search page for the state you selected. Should any of them not work, then please let me know.
Great board, creede. Added and will be used!
Thanks bman17, and welcome to the thread.
Just updated some more of the links in the ibox. All links active now through Minnesota. NV and WY as well.
If you have any good DD on any of the states, please post it here.
Lucky number 13! Love the board

re DE SOS & Live Chat -
I took your advice and left message using the "Live Chat" function (they were closed for MLK Day), and they came through just like you said.
re DE SOS -
now this is useful info.
cantgetmyname, welcome to the SOS.
Thank you for the info. The iBox links have been updated, and appear to be working.
Hey RULiquid, welcome to the SOS.
I'm gonna write a "what to post" message real soon, but in the mean while, let me just say to you, and to everyone else to please post any insight that you have on any of the SOS's out there.
ALSO, feel free to post your favorite stocks here as well, only caveat is to please be sure to include the SOS, and any info obtained.
creede, I like the board.
Here are 2 more.

Florida.

Florida has one of the best sites. You can pull up the filing docs in PDF. The down side is if you want to know the current AS you have to read through the documents.
marked...good idea creede
re Delaware (DE) SOS Get A/S -
Not sure if this is still current or not.
re APLN & "Merge Dissolved" (NV SOS)-
here's some proof that "Merge Dissolved" means that a company has merged with another company in another state.
Thanks rrufff.
The idea came because here recently I have had to try to use the SOS in Colorado for one of my longs (ADMH). I spent a whole lot time trying to use the online system to try to find out the a/s or the o/s. At the end of the day I was able to find out a whole lot of very useful info, but could not find share counts of any kind. Eventually I called the CO SOS and asked them where to find the information. To my surprise, I learned that other than in the articles of incorportion (where they use an arbitary number) companies incorporated in the State of Colorado do not have to provide share data. Sure would have liked to have known that info on the front end!
Also, when I was doing my DD at the NV SOS regarding APLN, I discovered a term I had not seen before: "MERGE DISSOLVE". That made me had to do some digging and asking around the Hub to figure out what it meant.
Eventually it led to Roger figuring out they had merged into AE Holding I, Inc. in the State of Delaware (DE).

How to Locate a State of Incorporation
Here's what I usually do.
1. Goto http://www.otcmarkets.com/home
2. Type in the Ticker and goto the "Company Description" Tab.
3. Then check the Pinksheet Reports and SEC filings, no matter how old they are. That will at least give a starting point.
4. If that does not work then I typically take a shot in the dark and goto the Nevada (NV) SOS, since it is by far the most common state of incorportation.
Here is an article from eHow on the topic.
Great idea for a board, to have this info in one place.
i just used that today site -- personally
glad you got the other states running up also.
this board is a MUST-HAVE on your desktop/favourites/favorites.
methinks i did bookmark it. NOT sure since i'm NOT a paying iHUB member.
Wow, that was fast. Check out the table in the iBox. The states with purple under them are active. Give me a little time to get them all filled in.
Please don't forget to give us a mark.
Business Entity Search
http://nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch/
nice site. about time, eh!
Here is one example of how post.
In this example I use Nevada (NV), because it is very common to the OTC market.
