I found contacts to PR departments
http://www.jalpress.com/contact/
maybe here we can get at least PR about canceling of shares, because I newer saw official information obout this act...
btw. email irdesk@jal.co.jp or irdesk@jal.com has no response - it doesn't exist...
communication with this company is realy imossible...
Have you got some new information?
Or idea what we can do now? JAL is very profitable and cancel of shares with pretence of Japanese Corporate Reorganization Act is bullshit,
This informations are also very brief...
http://www.jal.com/en/ir/info2010_0119_3.html
is any one considering filing petition with tokyo district court regarding cancelling jalsq/jalfq.
yes, thay have to make some filing if JALFQ and JALSQ were traded at US markets.
Also I dont understand how can court approve cancel of shares when
"JAL made operating profit totaling over 140 billion yen ($1.7 billion) from April to November in 2010, according to a document submitted to the Tokyo District Court."
This means operation profit 0,622$ for one JP3705400004 share!!!
(total amount of share is 2 732 383 250)
see. http://www.pressreleasemag.com/2011/01/20/city-drafts-bankruptcy-exit-ex-japan-airlines-pilots-cabin-crew-file-lawsuit/
hi dibbly...that i don't understand...we bough the JALSQ in US pink market...why he said this outside of USA..??
I have got reply from SEC.
They wrote me:
"Thank you for contacting the SEC.
The activity in question appears to outside of U.S. jurisdiction. You may wish to contact your national securities regulator for assistance. Contact information is available via http://www.financialregulatorsgateway.com/
I hope this information is helpful.
Sincerely,
Steven G. Johnston"
So it looks this is only one place
http://www.financialregulatorsgateway.com/j.htm#JAPAN
where we can send claim about canceling our shares.
btw. I'm not able to find any mention about delisting...
http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=&match=&CIK=jalfq&filenum=&State=&Country=&SIC=&owner=exclude&Find=Find+Companies&action=getcompany
i sent the complain email to SEC too, i hope more shareholder can stand up. complain or sue JAL or do whatever we can ..stop they lie our money...who have any idea ..pls post on the board too...thanks
also very interesting discussion you can see here
http://www.wallstreet-online.de/diskussion/1154291-2131-2140/japan-airlines-jetzt-kommen-die-big-guys-als-retter#neuster_beitrag
but I guess it is little bit unreadable for most of you
anyway, I sent Compaint to SEC
https://tts.sec.gov/oiea/Complaint.html
from reason of delisting JALFQ JP3705400004 without agrement by shareholders.
should be usefull if someone will try to cancel court approbation
http://www.jal.co.jp/en/other/info2010_0831.html
or if someone try to contact JAL at irdesk@jal.com and maybee we will find another plan than cancel all shares without any satisfaction.
If you compare liquidation of JAL and GM it is absolutely different approach ! GM create MTLQQ and all bad assets are here.
JAL just only cancel shares and then will make new IPO...
You described exactly actual situation.
As wrote FrancoisFRA at JALFQ http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=58992611
"Reorganization plan" which has been approved by court bring us this:
See POINT 2:
"Stock owned by JALS shareholders will be acquired gratis, and all treasury shares will be cancelled, and JALI will reduce stated capital and capital reserves to zero."
it means shareholders will pay all debts, JAL make new IPO at the end of 2012 and they will earn bilions of $ each year.
How can be this approved by court ?
I want to have share on future profits not on debts from past!
- Bankruptcy doesn't mean liquidation of shareholders.
- we didn't receive any official statement from JAL (only pdf paper from brooker with message "Shares are worthless"
- only one possible solution for me is be part of IPO when new shares will be released (end of 2012)
I hope sue to JAL wouldn't be necessary - may be we can try to ask at irdesk@jal.com for another possible solution.
What do you mean?
yes...i ask my broker and he said the samething too...they are very bad ..the broer is very very mean when i ask about JAL is delisted and what can i do...anyway, so what can we do now...can we sue them..?? this is very very unfair ...and they can't just delisted and run...and then we lost all $$$...WTF...?? anyone can start and group up more ppl to sue to JAL..?? they are still running their business...and they will have new stock coming soon..this is very unfair..and i can't believe the stock market anymore because that...if lehman brother delisted...i will think more fair then JAL...because Lehman brother even their office and all business was closed...but JAL still running...veryveryvery bad.. i feel i got lied...
PLS. do something....all the share holder about JAL..
Yes, all shares has been canceled without any refunds.
I did receive exactly this note from my broker.
Write-off of worthless shares
Hi, Everyone! I'm in the same boat! I even bought more shares on that last trading day when the price was coming down!! What do we do now? Is there anything we can do? It just seems so unfair that they can just turn our shares into nothing and then offer new shares... I'm a novice at trading so any advice is much appreciated!
hi, welcome on board, you are in the same situation like a lot of people.
I dont know what happened. If you check SEC fillings
http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=&match=&CIK=jalfq&filenum=&State=&Country=&SIC=&owner=exclude&Find=Find+Companies&action=getcompany
there isn't any mention about delisting.
It looks that all debts will be payed by new shares emission = all old shareholders will pay great debt which JAL has created in past because shares were canceled without any refunds.
It is a robbery during white day - only one option should be lawsuit for protect shareholders interest.
After this "reorganization plan" approved by the Tokyo District Court should JAL earn bilions of dolars each year... it is really hard to belive in it...
Hi, Cash, check back on Dibbley's post #84. He inferred a 2012 re-issue, call it IPO, if you may of JAL. Obviously, dropping the Q. I'm out of this bad boy, for '011, and onto much more enriching endeavors. This was a good play, but with my FQ and SQ combined, I got burned pretty bad. Best of luck to you always, take care, Bob
What do you mean with new IPO?
Do you think, they will change the old shares in new shares?
I didn't find anything about JALSQ regarding the turnaraound process!
Here is the reason:
http://www.adrbnymellon.com/files/TN31791.pdf
I don't know, what will happen with this stock …
hey hi...my name is Gilbert....i am so unhappy ...because i have some stock of jalsq and this is delisted...after i wake up...it is no more....so anyone can tell me...what can i do now..?? i don't understand about ...the stock is delisted...but am i still have their share..?? or all gone..?? but their company is still working now...or this is not relation btw shock and the company..??so how can i do now..?? pls tell me more info...thanks anyone can help me..my email is hkgilbert@hotmail.com...welcome to send me any info and wed site about jalsq and anything can help my case..
Well did not find any kind of press release or announcement,
that they'll be delisted.
Yes your're right, companies get delisted, because of bankruptcy or if they fail to submit their filings, which is not the case.
So I'm wondering what's is going to happen …
Ok on 2nd point........tc, Bob
yes I know situation when shares are canceled.
But it happened when company is in ruin and isn't there any property.
So I'm wondered by that situation when JAL is superior company and all debts will be payed by shareholders. is it normal ? :-O
To your second point. I'm from Czech republic. Since 1993 exist two states Czech and Slovak but I'm there as home :)
You can write me to dibbley@seznam.cz and we can discuss something by this way
Sorry, Mr Cashback...........looks like they got us till an IPO comes out later this year or early 2012. I feel for those that were stuck in this yesterday/last night without warning. They burned me good in the JALFQ.........best wishes, Bob
Yes, my JALFQ, disappeared sometime before 12/31/10. I don't know about the SQ, but in the past, when a share is cancelled, it's gone, poof! You can then write it off your taxes. When JAL does an IPO, it will be with fresh shares, not grandfathering in old shares. This is how it is done customarily. Sorry, about your situation, your loss. Do you live in the Czech Republic? I'm 2nd generation Slovak, my Grandmother came here in the early 1900's from Bratislava, Slovakia. One day I must go there to see if any family, distant cousins, etc. are still alive. Once again, best wishes..........Bob
Yes, i know, you wrote me this warning yesterday at 3:53:22 PM. Unfortunetly I'm out of bussiness since March of 2010 when my brooker (czech republic - brookerjet) stoped any trades at Xetra market. So I'm waiting for long time and I hope that my canceled shares will be refreshed with new IPO at the end of 2012.
as I wrote yesterday on JALFQ board, there were mysterious difference between this two links
http://www.adrbnymellon.com/dr_profile.jsp?cusip=471040105
which you can compare with google archive...
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AvoM4KnugeEJ:www.adrbnymellon.com/dr_profile.jsp%3Fcusip%3D471040105+471040105&cd=1&hl=cs&ct=clnk&gl=cz&client=firefox-a
there you can see that yesterday happened something.
Are you able to see your JALSQ shares at your portfolio ?
My JALFQ disapeared at December
P.S. JALSQ shares (CUSIP 471040105) are based on JALFQ (Underlying ISIN JP3705400004)
I was wrong
as you can read here:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/news/otc-news
We will see, what is going to happen with JALSQ / JALFQ
Well, goodbye guys. Apparently, we are out of business, until a new IPO of JAL occurs. I was telling someone that I email with, to be careful, and try not to go home with a position last night. I was prophetic. After being burned in FQ's with thousands of shares, I didn't want to make the same mistake in SQ, holding the bag. I hope not too many people got hurt, but, of course, Im sure there are some. Take care, write/post when you get time.....best wishes, Bob
ps The Y board already has been disabled..........
Well, that answers it. I tried to place an order for Jalsq this morning, but E*Trade will not allow me to. Says" JALSQ is not a valid stock symbol". Looks like the SEC cashed in the stock. I still have it on L2, but no bid/ask listed.
Cashback, good to see you on here. It doesn't sound like we have a definitive answer whether or not JALSQ is going to cancel or not. Great volume yesterday, but would imagine sell stops being triggered and wholesale dumping. Move from .80-.115 is huge. The swings should be pretty violent until the dust settles. GLTY in your trading, if you pursue trading JALSQ. I personally, will keep a close eye on this, but have a very fresh memory of the market cancelling my JALFQ right around Christmas. Nice present, eh?.......tc, Bob
I hope you are also right.
Unfortunately I had JALFQ and these shares were canceled.
But now I checked SEC page and I can not find any mention about cancel of shares JP3705400004.
http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=&match=&CIK=jalfq&filenum=&State=&Country=&SIC=&owner=exclude&Find=Find+Companies&action=getcompany
In your article is interesting sentence:
"ETIC's support for JAL will last only three years (until Jan-2013) in which time it must find new shareholders and pay back the funds ..."
but no mention about old shareholders of JALFQ.
This aproach of JAL is realy sad...
You're 100% right.
JALSQ should be out of debts by March and will losing the "Q".
I can't believe that JAL will cancel its shares.
JAL did say, they will bring out new shares 2012/13.
http://www.centreforaviation.com/news/share-market/2010/10/08/japan-airlines-making-preparations-for-relisting-by-end-of-2012/page1
Dibbley,
Yes, this appears to be a day trader's delight right now. I would be very careful about holding a position overnight in this right now until an offical press release is issued. take care, GLTY.......Bob
I can't believe that excelent company as JAL should cancel all shares from day to day. They are in great operational profit. And now they cooperate with AA.
I hope thay make some compensation for current shareholders during IPO of new shares at the begining od 2012. Because I had 150k of JAL shares @ about .2 $
I've got a friend who just emailed me that JAL is going to cancel these shares.......JALSQ. Don't know but am going to do some research. Have to start digging. Had an order in to buy @0.20, just cancelled it as I need to find out more before getting in again, if so. Good luck, be careful........Bob
exactly. shares JP3705400004 were canceled. you can read about it on JALFQ message board.
even so there were trades on 29 and 30 of december...
I dont understand why I'm not able to fing JALSQ 471040105 at depository receipt and this share based on canceled JP3705400004 has 2M volumes ! :-O
What happened? I haven't been watching this for a while now. They cancelled my JALFQ a while back. Shake out or what?
Bob
volumes on JALSQ is incredible!
but I don't understand why JALFQ were canceled when JALSQ is based on JALFQ shares...
also I can't find JALSQ at depositary receipt :-O at this link
http://www.adrbnymellon.com/dr_profile.jsp?cusip=471040105
you can compare with google archive...
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:AvoM4KnugeEJ:www.adrbnymellon.com/dr_profile.jsp%3Fcusip%3D471040105+471040105&cd=1&hl=cs&ct=clnk&gl=cz&client=firefox-a
have someone any explanation for this?
It's gonna be interesting!!
Keep an eye on it.

Investement Update:
Japanese electronics firm Kyocera Corp and brokerages Nomura Securities and Daiwa Securities are in the final stage of talks to invest 20-30 billion yen ($247-370 million) in Japan Airlines.
If this deal comes, you better take a closer look on the JALSQ stock
At least, that's how it looks like.
This morning some people were trying to push it.
But with no volume ... it did not work.
So that means, you'll never know when the rocket gonna boost, and how much fuel it has. Just keep an eye on it.
Cash, looks like we are the only ones posting! Nice vol yesterday, good movement........
I answered your post on Y, you were right, cash, about NO DIP in pps. I bought back in today, and am going to ride this bronco. Let's see where it takes us, eh? GLTY
Bob
Yes, very, very well.......
Remember the race in january (jalsy)?
If this happens, were on 3.50 within days
Beginning to see that, Cashback............they don't want to let this one go...
Last: 1.32 Vol: 60'000
Actually, FQ's are trading a bit...another 20K traded @ 0.0150, unch. With the SQ being where it is, the FQ should be trading much higher than 0.0150.....Im guessing the MMs heavily manipulate it as it is a Grey Sheet stock...
Sorry for the duplication of the post, fat fingers, lol............
200,000 JALFQ's just traded @ 0.0125, -0.0025. I sold some SQ's @ $1.30, waiting for a dip now to buy more, to $1.00-$1.05 area. I just got a news flash from E*Trade Pro, about JAL/AMR. It's on s the DJ Newswires. AMR sees a new joint venture with JAL beginning early next year. Might be behind some of the recent rise in sp.....GLTY, Bob

I think that JALSY may have more share price apprciation potential than Mesa Air.

Mizuho Said to Be Largest Lender for Japan Air Turnaround Fund
By Chris Cooper, Kiyotaka Matsuda and Takako Taniguchi
Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Mizuho Financial Group Inc. will be the biggest lender to the Japanese state-affiliated fund helping to restructure Japan Airlines Corp., said three people with knowledge of the matter.
Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp. of Japan last week agreed to borrow money from a total of five banks in its first request for funds, said two of the people, who declined to be identified as the discussions are private. They didn’t say how much Mizuho will lend. Most of the money will be used for restructuring Japan Air, said one of the people.
Enterprise Turnaround will borrow a total of 355 billion yen ($3.9 billion) for six months starting on Jan. 28 as it prepares bridge loans for Japan Air. The Tokyo-based carrier filed for bankruptcy last week as part of a 900 billion yen turnaround plan backed by the fund and state-owned Development Bank of Japan.
Masako Shiono, a spokeswoman for Mizuho, Japan’s third- biggest bank by market value, declined to comment. An official at Enterprise Turnaround, who declined to be named, declined to comment.
Enterprise Turnaround earlier this month asked 39 local and overseas banks to bid in an auction to provide government- guaranteed loans. The fund is arranging 600 billion yen in bridge loans for Japan Air with Development Bank. It is also providing 300 billion yen in capital to the carrier.
