Yes, I think I underwent $6,000 worth of stress so I earned it plus I'm still $1,000 in the hole.
Emotionally I wanted no part of it but logically I had no choice. The money was sitting in the courts to be distributed. It really was a sure thing. I guess my only fear was some strange cross-border law that I had no idea of getting in the way.
Well, you really did have sweat equity involved then. You earned your $5,000. Too risky for my lily white toosh.
Yup, credit to otcbargains for pointing it out. Not sure I've ever seen anything like it. Basically a liquidation bankruptcy where all of the creditors and even lawyers were fully paid off and there was something left for shareholders.
I'll admit -- I was kind of nervous and checking frantically around 5 times a day since Friday since I put up like $50,000 to make like $5,000.
Lucky you....congrats.
I just got my loot -- I was almost the entire volume when that divvy was announced and made a free $5,000 or so.
Couldn't believe everybody passed it up. Went to the website with the details as was in the PR and found a like to court documents ordering the dividend from court-controlled funds audited by a top accounting firm.
Anyway dividend just showed up and the stock disappeared in my accounts at the same time. I was really hoping there would be a screw up and the stock would still trade but I'm happy with the free cash.
RockHard, as far as I know your Broker will surrender your OBQI shares for the liquidation distribution and then your Broker will receive the money that they will put into your account.
You should call your Broker to make sure because I don't know any of the specific details involving the OBQI liquidation or distribution.
Please let this board know what your Broker says as I like to learn as much as I can about these types of situations.
Best o' luck, RockHard!
Does that mean shares held in my account at my broker should recieve this Final liquidating distribution ($0.0252269/sh.) WITHOUT my filing any documents (or do I need to file what documents)? Also, do you know WHEN this payment should be recieved?
OBQI: Finra deleted symbol. Final liquidating distribution ($0.0252269/sh.) Payable upon surrender of certificates. Transfer Books Closed Effective 11/29/2011. Please consult the plan for thorough details (www.ey.com/ca/oilsandsquest.)

Energizer announces start up of pilot
Energizer Resources Announces Commissioning and Start-Up of Molo Graphite Pilot Plant
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Oct. 17, 2013) - Energizer Resources Inc. (OTCQX:ENZR)(TSX:EGZ)(FRANKFURT:YE5) ("Energizer" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has commissioned and started up the pilot plant for its flagship Molo Graphite Project in Madagascar.
Mechanical commissioning of the Molo Graphite Project pilot plant has been completed and two continuous 80-hour campaigns to optimize metallurgical conditions will be completed in the next 30 days. The pilot plant was designed, built, and is being operated by SGS Canada Inc. ("SGS") in Lakefield, Ontario.
Two hundred tonnes of composite graphite ore was transported last month from the Molo deposit via existing, serviceable infrastructure to SGS in preparation for the pilot plant. Representatives from Caracle Creek International Consulting ("CCIC") were on site to ensure the ore extracted from the Molo deposit was a true representative sample of the mill feed that will eventually be treated in the future processing plant and that it would satisfy the required standards for use in the upcoming Bankable Feasibility Study ("BFS"). CCIC was the Qualified Person ("QP") for the recently completed Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA") study and will also be retained as QP for the upcoming BFS.
Multi-Tonne Samples of Graphite Concentrate Ready for Shipment to Potential Partners in November
The Company expects the pilot plant to produce between 7 to 9 tonnes of finished, flaked graphite concentrate within the next 30 days. The pilot plant will enable the Company to optimize flake size, quality and purity to meet the various specifications that have been requested by several potential off take partners. This in turn will allow them to adequately evaluate the finished Molo graphite concentrate and its ability to meet the requirements of their customers - the ultimate end users of the product. The pilot plant will also provide key operational data that will be used to generate process design criteria for the BFS.
Craig Scherba, President & COO stated, "Energizer has reached yet another significant milestone with the commissioning and operation of our pilot plant, which is a critical component of Molo's mine development plan. We are extremely pleased that by the end of November, tonnes of our finished graphite will be in the hands of several potential off take partners for evaluation."
The Company looks forward to reporting the final test results from the pilot plant over the next several weeks. As the Company previously reported, the recent metallurgical results from the optimization testing resulted in a significantly improved quality of the flotation concentrate, in terms of both grade and size distribution versus those reported in the Company's PEA Study.
Potential Ability To Produce High Volume Quantities Of Both Premium Priced Large Flake And Ultra-High Purity Finished Graphite Products
The optimization testing at SGS confirmed that nearly half (47.4%) of the Molo graphite concentrate is classified as the premium-priced large & jumbo flake size (greater than +80 mesh). In conjunction with the test results that confirmed that the Molo graphite concentrate could be easily upgraded to the ultra high purity of greater than 99.9% carbon, the Company will be well positioned to sell finished product to a wide range of end users at premium prices.
DRA Mineral Projects, Africa's leading mine builder has been retained to complete the Molo BFS and subject to project financing, will be subsequently commissioned for design, construction and operation of the future mine. It should be noted that the BFS will incorporate revised CAPEX and OPEX numbers generated from the latest enhanced and optimized metallurgical results versus the existing data that was used and reported in the Company's latest PEA study. This is expected to have a positive impact on the already robust Internal Rate of Return ("IRR") and Net Present Value ("NPV") of the Project.

OBQI is a Canadian company liquidating in bankruptcy under the CCAA. They have sold all their assets at this point and should be making final creditor distributions in February and will apply to the court to make distributions to shareholders after that. The price has been going up lately after months of distribution so I guess people are starting to figure out that equity is in the money and that we are getting closer to getting our distributions. The prepetition claims vetting process is complete and the post filing claims bar date lapsed on January 11th. We should see the next Monitors report in a few weeks.

Does any body know when we will hear anything from the sale and what we will get if any for our shares, some body mention on yahoo that Nov 2 is dead line.
Have no clue, just saw the big trade go through... is this company BK?
Anyone have any idea how much we will get for our shares and when will be the final distribution. Thanks
25 million ask hit at .009. waz up over here?
Yeah...kicking myself for not picking up some .025s the other day! Nice bounce. Volume is so low though you really can't go in with any size. Keeping it on watch.
What's driving the volume on this today?
.0097 hi today
MK
Already got rid of mine at .0055. I'll take 10%.
So, I guess the consensus of the market is that when the sale goes through there will be basically zero money left for existing share/bag holders? Right now, not enough value to cover commissions, so why sell?
Wow, what's with the huge drop here today? Picked up a few cheapies .005, not sure what to do with them, LOL.

On July 17th, the Monitor (the caretaker) filed for an extension to acquire a list of creditors. The extension approved by the court is to August 31st. This means more dollars to the Monitor (E&Y)and less dollars to stockholders. As was said months ago, once the lawyers and accountants move in, there will be little if anything left on the "bone" for the stockholders. I have written this one off. Farewell!
Think these guys might
be getting things straitened out? Could be something to look at Monday.

OBQI is in the Canadian form of receivership. E & Y has control of the day to day operations. They are presently locating all the creditors and the ammount they are owed. That should be done by mid August. E and Y also have authority to close on the sale of the oil sands assets to pay off the creditors. E & Y has said the remaining monies after creditors (including them) will be nonimal.
looking forward to it..... =0)
nice revenues huge uptrend coming soon
i have a bunch of shares of this. im hoping this stock comes back to life.
On June 29, 2012, the Company’s shares of common stock were delisted from the NYSE MKT. The press release attached hereto as exhibit 99.1 indicated that the Company expected the delisting to be effective on or about July 2, 2012.
Huh?
As part of limiting of activities to focus on the sale and distribution process, Oilsands Quest will not be pursuing its proposed listing on the Canadian National Stock Exchange (“CNSX”). The Company expects its shares to be delisted from the NYSE MKT on or about July 2, 2012. Trading in the common shares of Oilsands Quest remains halted on NYSE MKT.
Huh?
I guess bottom line, the best place to be watching for companies doing this type of thing, would be some sort of penny stock new ticker "watch" website, and be watching that website's list at precicely 9:30 am EST......Even if one read the news released for this change, one would have been watching for it on Monday. Not today.......
I guess too, nobody can predict which direction a thing like this will head. It could have fallen from a penny, downwards......But damn, I could have easily 5Xed some small invested amount......
Interesting first day back for trading. 4.3 million traded. Most over .04 up to .06. Looks like accumulating. Once these folks are satisfied accumulating, look for pumpers to get this going past a dime.
this has a lot of info usually updates about 3 times throught the day http://www.otcbb.com/asp/dailylist_detail.asp?d=06/29/2012&mkt_ctg=NON-OTCBB
You know what's kind of bizarre? It wasn't like an IPO or anything, but if you had foreknowledge of this "change", you possibly could have bought a crapload of it at open, for .01......I haven't studied the volume from open til now, to prove this point, but my question is, where on earth would one read about these type "events", and be "ready" for them? I see Renee posted what she(he?) found(somewhere), at 5:30 yesterday.....
Big volume!! Go to 0.10 in first term!!!
Big blocks in 0.05...
I expect a big bounce to 0,20 or 0,30. Nice volume...
IMHO.
I wondered where it went, in my Fidelity account listing.....Then I noticed the new OBQI listing......Just happy to see it's back to trading status at all, after multiple "holdoffs", bordering bankruptcy......LOL.
BQI delsted from AMEX to the OTC, ticker changed to OBQI.

Reading fully the last E & Y report and the latest petition filed by the BQI CEO, it looks like the company is headed for possible sale of assets and liquidation. The fact the CEO has requested the monitor take over the cash assets and other operations while allowing the monitor (E & Y) to terminate any or all employees is the final straw. It does allow the monitor to hire back as consultants members of the company like the CEO to aid in the possible sale. But I believe the "lessor" employeees are out of a job and the shareholders have received the shaft. The remaining monies will be eaten up by the monitor, TDAmeritrade and the consultants. Fairwell Oillands Quest. It was a good idea run by another bunch of crooks.
E & Y is the monitor for this action. Here is a link to there reports. They filled their sixth report in May and it includes financial data on expenses and cash on hand.
Further, BQI is now delisted from the NYSE.

BQI has requested another extension to September 28th, 2012.
i haven't seen it...i know asked off amex...but no trades are showing.
Idk is it trading again?
