HISTORY® GREENLIGHTS NEW GROUNDBREAKING LIMITED NON-FICTION SERIES ‘UNIDENTIFIED: INSIDE AMERICA’S UFO INVESTIGATION™’ EXPOSING NEW EVIDENCE ON UFOs LEAD BY THE FORMER SPECIAL AGENT IN-CHARGE AND DIRECTOR OF THE GOVERNMENT’S TOP SECRET PROGRAM AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY TOM DELONGE
Former Government Officials disclose new information in an effort to change Government Policy about the potential threats UFOs pose to U.S. National Security
New York, NY – March 12, 2019 – In December of 2017, The New York Times published a stunning front-page exposé about the Pentagon’s mysterious UFO program, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). Featuring an interview with former military intelligence official and Special Agent In- Charge, Luis Elizondo, who confirmed the existence of the hidden government program, the controversial story was the focus of worldwide attention. Previously run by Elizondo, AATIP was created to research and investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) including numerous videos of reported encounters, three of which were released to a shocked public in 2017. Elizondo resigned after expressing to the government that these UAPs could pose a major threat to our national security and not enough was being done to combat them or address our potential vulnerabilities. Now, as a part of HISTORY’s groundbreaking new six-part, one-hour limited series “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation™,” Elizondo is speaking out for the first time with Tom DeLonge, co-founder and President of To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science and Chris Mellon, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Intelligence, to expose a series of startling encounters and embark on fascinating new investigations that will urge the public to ask questions and look for answers. From A+E Originals, DeLonge serves as executive producer.
Says DeLonge, “With this show, the real conversation can finally begin. I’m thankful to HISTORY for giving the To The Stars Academy team of world-class scientists, engineers and intelligence experts the opportunity to tell the story in a comprehensive and compelling way. I think everyone that watches the show will walk away with questions answered and a feeling of, “wow, I get it now.”’
“HISTORY is committed to creating informational, authentic programming that keeps our audience intrigued to learn more,” said Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, HISTORY. “This is not a UFO hunting show, but a series that will hopefully provoke a cultural conversation about unexplained phenomena and allow our viewers to ultimately draw their own conclusions. Tom’s curiosity and passion for this subject matter, combined with his team, are the perfect partners to deliver this breakthrough series.”
DeLonge, Elizondo, Mellon and a trustworthy, connected team of investigators that includes retired Program Director for Advanced Systems at Lockheed Martin’s Skunkworks and the Aerospace Division Director for To The Stars Academy, Steve Justice, renowned CIA researcher and quantum physicist, and Vice President of Science and Technology at To The Stars Academy, Hal Puthoff and retired senior intelligence service member of the Central Intelligence Agency and Vice President of Operations at To The Stars Academy, Jim Semivan, will break boundaries and perceived government taboo by disclosing information about efforts being made to change government policy surrounding these phenomena, as well as produce tangible evidence to build the most indisputable case for the existence and threat of UFOs ever assembled. “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation™” will reveal newly authenticated evidence and footage, interviews from eyewitnesses and former military personnel who have never spoken out before and extensive breakthroughs in understanding the technology behind these unknown phenomena in our skies.
“Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation™” is produced for HISTORY by A+E Originals. DeLonge is executive producer. Steve Ascher, Kristy Sabat and Anthony Lappé are executive producers for A+E Originals. Mike Stiller serves as executive producer for HISTORY.

Transcript of October 27th, 2018, Italian UFO Conference (Centro Ufologico Nazionale – CUN) with Luis Elizondo and Tom DeLonge of “To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science.” There were various places (mostly during the Q & A portion) where I couldn’t make out what the questioner was saying so I did my best and guessed. I believe that my transcription of what DeLonge and Elizondo said is 99% accurate.
You can watch the entire presentation on video at this Facebook link or this YouTube link. And here is a short snippet from Exomagazin.tv with excellent audio and video coverage.

Luis Elizondo: So before I begin, what I’d like to do is simply offer to you why we are here. The topic of UAPs is an emotional topic for many. And as such, Tom, myself, nor any of our colleagues, are here to change your mind or to change your opinion or change your position. We are simply here to provide you facts and data and allow you to decide what you think about it. I’ll start with our first slide. What I’d like to do is separate this afternoon’s briefing into two separate parts. I think in order to appreciate why we’re here, we first need to understand how did we get here in the first place. And for that, I’m gonna ask my colleague and friend, Tom, to provide that for you. A little bit about his story.
Tom DeLonge: Hello Italy. Thank you for coming. (Applause) Lue and I come from “To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science.” I started this company about two years ago when I painstakingly met a group of very high ranking U.S. government officials. And they kindly listened to an idea that I had to create a vehicle for disclosure. I then met another group of high ranking government officials, like Lue, and we and we decided to expand the effort into something much bigger. We realized that to bring this subject to the world appropriately, it needed to be attacked from three different angles. We needed to investigate, innovate and educate. To the world, we call this: Science, Engineering and Entertainment. There was no mechanism at the time in the U.S. government to do such a thing with the public. It needed to be a private company to start doing what traditionally, governments would do. What you see with Elon Musk and “Space X” or “Bigelow Aerospace” and his inflatable habitats. These are fast moving and robust, private efforts to commercialize itself and create a perpetual way of funding with opportunities. We also need to be responsible. We do need to do this with the governments of the world. It is far too transformative, world effecting and it sometimes, it can be quite scary to people.
“To The Stars” has created a private company with a perpetual funding mechanism. We work with government partners to achieve the revolutionary change in mankind’s destiny. We will study the subject, we will tell the stories to the world and we will build the technology. At this moment, “To The Stars” has the first set of major motion pictures and television series in development, the architectural plans for a master database with artificial intelligence, a multi-year, beamed energy program plan to launch satellites into space with lasers and the robust program plans to achieve the engineering of the space-time metric. And most people would call that anti-gravity.
Through these efforts, we hope to unify the nations of the world and bring an ability to understand who we really are and where we are going as a civilization. This was big step for us to come to Europe and we’re very thankful to be here. And at this time, Lue is going to speak and I hope that it brings you as much joy as it did me the first time I met him. This is what we’ve all been waiting for, for so long. To have a government official from the United States – (Elizondo turns to DeLonge and says, “Former”) – former, that’s right – who ran the UFO program. And now, he’s going to speak to you and help you understand a little bit more about it. (Applause)
Luis Elizondo: Thank you Tom very much for the kind introduction although I don’t think I’m worthy of that. So a little bit about who I am. I’m a career intelligence officer and military personnel. I spent much of my career as a special agent and an investigator. And during that I realized, that fact is more important than opinion. As such, I have tried my best to remove my opinion from the facts and the data. I also would like to apologize in advance if at any time, my answer appears to be evasive or too general. I’m still bound by my nation’s oath to protect classified information. So as such, this afternoon I will only discuss information that is unclassified but I believe still very, very compelling. So let’s go to the first slide.
So the first few slides that I have is a brief background of U.S. government involvement in the topic of UAPs. Many in this group have a far more comprehensive knowledge of the history of UAPS so I am not going to insult your intelligence. But I think it’s important that we establish a fundamental understanding that the U.S. government does indeed have a long history involved in both directly and indirectly with UAPs. The picture you see up here was actually taken by an Italian pilot during World War II. These phenomena were known by the allies as Foo Fighters. These balls of light or these small, shiny discs often perplexed pilots who encountered them. [They were] able to perform maneuvers that far exceeded anything that we had. And you will note that common theme exists all the way up to today.
So I will not got into detail of every one of these bullets. Again, they’re designed to just give you a baseline understanding of our interest in UAPs as a nation. I think the two most important points to this slide is the early implementation of radar…were identifying these objects along with the eyewitnesses. And later, in the 1940s, we had the Roswell incident. I’m not going to speculate in this room what crashed at Roswell. But those of you who are familiar with the world of intelligence, know that a military response is usually symmetrical to the incident. A crashed weather balloon does not usually merit the response of a colonel, several flat bed, military vehicles and an armed force.
In the early 1950s, the United States had another very significant event over our nation’s capital. Once again, these objects were identified both with the naked eye and then again radar. And unlike Roswell, many people had cameras and were able to take photographs. And what you see here are real photographs along with the headline story that came out. We also have the beginnings of Project Blue Book and the beginnings of our nuclear program. I think it’s important to note that, from a nuclear perspective – whether we’re talking about power, weapons or propulsion – these are very sensitive technologies. And beginning in the 50s, we began to notice an interest by UAPs in & around our nuclear facilities and technology. Keeping in mind, this was during the cold war and the U.S. had an interest in identifying whether this was an adversarial technology.
Early 1960s again, we see that Project Blue Book continues and some individuals in the U.S. government, by this time, believed these may be advanced, Soviet capabilities…UAPs that we were seeing.
During the late 1960s, many advancements in our nuclear technology, provided us a significant advantage. And coincidentally, there was an uptick in UAP sightings in and around these facilities. In fact, several of our nuclear silos along the northern tier, were temporarily brought down! These UAPs displayed characteristics far beyond anything we had ever seen. And for the 1st time, demonstrated an ability to interfere with our nuclear strike capability. And of course, at this time, Project Blue Book comes to an end.
Early 1970s. Not necessarily a golden age for the U.S. government. And the U.S. gov’t begins to pivot from a conventional style war posture to a more asymmetric threat. As such, the Central Intelligence Agency and other organizations addressed these threats with unconventional, intelligence collection capabilities. As you see here, the CIA establishes what they referred to as The Weird Desk. Developing and researching technologies such as psychotronic weaponry and using psychics (remote viewers ~Joe) to collect military intelligence.
Late 1970s, SETI begins. I think what’s most important in this particular bullet…is that the title of an entire organization, has the word extraterrestrial in it. The organization, SETI, was a multi-million dollar effort, using radio telescopes for the search of extraterrestrial intelligence.
Early 1980s: U.S. service members assigned in England, over a period of three days, encounter what cannot be described as anything else than extraordinary. The events that occurred those three days make the movie “Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind,” look amateur. Several of those individuals that were involved in that incident, I had the privilege of debriefing myself. Furthermore, information involving this incident, within the next four months, will be forthcoming. Further giving the world a better appreciation of what occurred those three nights. The capabilities that were stored at that facility, were highly sophisticated and may have even lead to UAP interest.
In the late 1980s, we continued to have a steady stream of Soviet defectors. And on rare occasion they would share with us, insight into the Russian, UAP program. Furthermore, on this side of the ocean, you have the now famous, Belgium wave incident. Again, with particular military interest. Now before we go to the next slide, I want to preface that I’m a military man. So my interest in UAPs is not mere curiosity. It is indeed national security. As such, you will notice that the theme of much of this is of a military nature. But also, please keep in mind, that the U.S. military at this time was a global presence. So it allowed us to collect information on a 24 hour basis around the world.
In the 1990s, the U.S. space shuttle program is well into the execution of its mission. In addition, our country’s reconnaissance capabilities continued to improve. And, so does the frequency and the fidelity of information involving UAP sightings. Not only are we seeing these in our atmosphere, but now it appears we may be even seeing them in low-earth orbit.
And then, late 1990s, once again, space shuttle missions continue to report interesting sightings. Furthermore, the United States gains additional access to former Soviet files. And what was made very clear to us, was what we were seeing on our side of the ocean, so was Russia.
So this is going to be the last slide of history for you. Partly because I’m not here to provide you a history lesson but also because I know you’re interested in what we know now. However, it would be unfair for me NOT to discuss some of the bullets on this slide in order to give you a better understanding of how we are here today.
In 2007, my government found it necessary to establish a formal, UAP program. This does not mean we did not have a program before! But because I was not a part of those programs – if they existed – it would not be fair for me to have that conversation. Remember what I said in the beginning of our discussion, I’m here to only provide you facts. In 2007, the (AATIP) program is established and in 2008 in falls within our intelligence apparatus to run it. Keeping in mind, an intelligence organization is used to protecting very sensitive information. In 2010 the program, former director, departs and I am assigned as the new director. But in all fairness, I was just a name. There were many, many other people, far smarter than me, that were actually responsible for the successes of this organization. It was also decided that this program would flourish much better directly under the office of the Secretary of Defense.
Last year around this time, its program director (that’s Lue) decided to leave the government in frustration, based on the bureaucracy. At no time was my office discredited. But having a conversation with senior leadership, proved to be near impossible. The stigma was simply too much. The next natural question is: Does the program still exist? And I am here to tell you right now, the effort is ongoing
This slide is verbatim what the focus of AATIP was and what $22 million purchased. For those who can’t read the lettering, I’ll read it for you: Lift, Propulsion, Control, Power Generation, Spatial and Temporal Translation, Signature Reduction or I guess you say Footprint. And Technology Integration. Also, Very Advanced Materials, Configuration and Structure, Human Interface, Human Effects and Armament. Now, if you read between the lines, you will notice that human effects is something that may or may not be typically associated with conventional technology. And if you look at what the emphasis on the contract was, it says specifically NOT exploitation of current technology. This is not inventing a better screw driver. This is a paradigm change in the way we interact with our environment. This is verbatim from the U.S. government contract. You, yourself can look this up today on Google. The line I want to read to you is very special: Investigate legitimacy of currently observed phenomena. These are not the words of Luis Elizondo. These are the words of the US government.
Last two I’ll read you very quickly: Are they achievable by current understanding of physics and engineering? And if not, what research is required to achieve it? And the picture you see behind you is an actually a picture of the original solicitation contract from the Defense Intelligence Agency.
This next slide is to demonstrate to you why the phenomena has a military importance. But before we do that, it’s important to understand the five observables. Please forgive me, I’m going to provide a very short physics lesson.
The first observable is sudden or instantaneous acceleration. For our Air Force friends in the room, they will have a particular appreciation for this. Let’s say for just a moment that this pen is an airplane. If an airplane is to change directions or points in the sky, there are inertial forces that are experienced inside and outside the aircraft. To put this into perspective, the human being can withstand approximately 9 Gs for a short period of time while we’re in a G suit. From a materials science perspective, some of our most highly maneuverable aircraft can experience Gs of up to 20 before wings begin to fail. The objects we’re witnessing are expressing G forces well in excess of 200. So as one can imagine, instantaneous acceleration would be very important for any country who wants to increase their maneuverability.
The next observable is hypersonic velocity. Not to be confused with supersonic. Once again, let’s imagine this pen as an aircraft. The faster an aircraft flies in the atmosphere, the more changes in its environment. Friction on the nose; friction on the leading surfaces; heat coming from the engines and even acoustic signatures, are all detectable and the result of hypervelocity travel. And as one can imagine, rapid deployment, enemy evasion and first strike capability would be enhanced. In some cases, these objects have been observed flying 8000 miles an hour and faster. There are few but very few things that mankind has developed that can fly that fast in the atmosphere and we know what those look like.
The 3rd observable is a bit of an irony. And that is low observability. Both with a naked eye and electro-optically. As one can imagine, this type of technology would enhance our ability for stealth.
The 4th observable is multi-medium travel. Once again, let’s pretend our pen is an aircraft. An aircraft looks like it’s an aircraft because it is a product of its environment. We as mankind, design things to function in specific environments. As an example, an airplane you can expect to have a nose, a tail, wings, control surfaces, etcetera. While a rocket, that’s designed for a vacuum, doesn’t need wings and doesn’t have a jet engine. In fact it has thrusters and uses a chemical explosion to get into orbit.
And lastly, let’s pretend this pen is submarine. A submarine does not look like a plane or a rocket. In fact it has a propeller and uses a combination of water and air to create buoyancy. And that is why a plane does not look like a rocket and a rocket does not look like a submarine. And they all perform quite differently. Yet, what we are seeing are things that can operate as freely in the atmosphere, as they can in a vacuum as they can under water, without changing their physical properties. And from a military perspective, one can imagine how advantageous this would be.
And the final observable of which we’ll discuss today, is positive lift. Once again, here is our plane, our aircraft. And in order to fly, it requires an understanding of physics. And the forces that are applied to this aircraft: Thrust, lift, drag, weight. And in order to achieve lift, one would normally require some means of propulsion, And there’s only a few choices: propeller, jet, rocket, lighter than air and a few others that I won’t waste your time with right now. But the point being is, that you need sustained movement forward to maintain lift. And yet, what we are witnessing are vehicles that can perform like an airplane, like a helicopter and frankly, like vehicles we just don’t understand.
So, one can see from a military perspective again, if we had this technology, this capability, it would provide a strategic advantage. Now, if any nation had just one of these capabilities, it would be an absolute, game changer in the way we do national security and defense. And yet here we have objects that can do all five. And the fact that they don’t have a flag on the tail or an identifiable tail number or in this particular case not even a tail at all, nobody in my country wanted to have the conversation. So, what does this mean? In the United States, we have put people in jail and have actually, indeed sentenced them to death, in a court of law, based upon two eyewitnesses.
In this case, we have highly trained individuals, who have top secret security clearances, who are trained observers, who are trusted to fly multi-million dollar weapons systems, while armed, and nobody wants to listen. Furthermore, their observations are backed up and validated by FLIR, radar, and other electro-optical data. In my country, if this was a court of law, we are well beyond reasonable doubt.
Furthermore, I’d like to briefly discuss some of the recent observations in the field of science that absolutely validate some of the existing, mathematical formulas and scientific modeling. Achieving much of what we are seeing with the observables, we believe may be a result of warping space time. And not necessarily by a lot. In fact, the equation E = MC2, gives us some insight on how to achieve this. And that is, with a lot of mass or a lot of energy. So, the question is: do we have the ability now, to warp space-time? And my response to you…you already did it three years ago. At the CERN, large hadron collider, a major leap forward was announced three years ago that we are achieving the energy levels necessary to create micro black holes. All that simply means? You are warping space-time. So whether or not we can warp space-time is no longer really a question. Now the question remains, what is the technology required to scale it in a usable manner.
Okay, so where are we now? My government has acknowledged that the program was real. The conversation is no longer relegated to the fringe. In essence, science fiction is now science fact. The videos released so far, despite living in today’s global IT community, were not only acknowledged by the U.S. government, have yet to be proven to be anything else than what was released. If you understand what you’re looking at in these videos, it’s very evident this is not our technology. Finally, U.S. media is reporting on this significant matter.
And our U.S. government is engaged at a level that I’ve never seen before. Please keep in mind, this is not an easy feat. These are individuals who have constituents and have a responsibility to represent the American people and spend their money wisely. So, in order for them to take this seriously, they’re interested in the facts, just like you are. And of course the technology that we’re now seeing still has application and relevancy to our national security military. But, for the first time ever, has the opportunity to be commercialized as well. And our company, “TTSA” is working very hard with many, many partners.
Before I go to the next slide, I wanna make one quick announcement: What you are about to see has never been shared publicly. Our philosophy early on was to cast a wide net. Like any wise fisherman, cast a wide net and catch as many fish as possible. And then throw back those fish you don’t need. What you’re about to see is that net and what is caught. Some of the fish in the net have very likely explanations but some of the fish defy any logical explanation.
(LE puts up slides of various materials. ~Joe) – These are actual photographs of material in our possession. Through various sources, we’ve obtained this & some of this material we have the provenance & we have the analysis from very reputable organizations, including government facilities.
Now some of this may turn out to be rather terrestrial and boring. But some of it, remains exceedingly bizarre, unusual and may not be from here.
So how do we know that? Forgive me but let me give you a small lesson in material science. Let’s start from big to small. When you come across strange material, at the macro-level, you want to identify physical properties: size, shape, weight texture. Then you want to look at its electro-conductivity. And any type of material vitrification or heat ablation. Or anything else I can tell you, the physical environment in which it was formed. And if you find something interesting, you begin to look at the molecular level. Looking at the chemical bonds that unite or bind the material together. Are there materials that are usually not found together. Are there any unusual physical properties associated with those chemical bonds? For example, the way the molecules are arranged. And if you find something interesting, you then go down to the nano level or in this case, the atomic level. And we begin looking at things such as isotopic ratios.
Everything on this planet has a footprint, it has a thumbprint, it has a fingerprint. And when you come across a material that has a unusual isotopic ratio, you have to pay attention on what created those conditions for that isotopic ratio. So if the material that you are analyzing happens to have high levels of iridium or isotopic ratios that are not naturally present on this planet, one has to scratch their head and wonder why. In some cases, these materials are multi-layered materials that should not be together and are engineered precisely from an isotopic perspective. Furthermore, some of this material, we are still unable to recreate technologically.
So this last slide is just to give you a small understanding of the type of work that we’re doing with our company. But please allow me to emphasize one point: An international partnership is vital. This is not an Italian phenomenon. This is not a U.S. phenomenon. Not is it a Russian phenomenon. It is in fact a global phenomenon. And as such, the decision on what we decide to do or not do, is up to you.
So with that said, there’s much we could discuss about this.
(Applause)
Questions from the audience. End main part of lecture.
Q: Good afternoon and thanks for a very interesting presentation. You have spoken about interacting between humans and these technologies. Are you working on neural interfaces? And if you think that these kind of studies are pushing us on the road of hybridization between electronics and biology.
Elizondo: I think that’s a very thoughtful question. I think human beings are already integrated with technology and are continuing to integrate. In fact, we’ve been integrated for the past 30 years. In fact, anybody in this room who has a pace maker is living proof. Technology is something that is as human as biology. For example, I wear glasses to see, I wear a watch to tell time. So the question as to whether technology will continue to enhance the human experience, I think it’s evident. Now whether the question you’re asking involves this technology, I think it’s too early to tell. But I think we would be foolish to presume that there would be no benefit.
Q: Continuing on the same line of the present question…In the future, how do you think man needs to be modified in order to properly guide these devices or control these devices?
Elizondo: Again, very thoughtful question. For me, it requires me to speculate. And in my promise to you at the beginning of this briefing, I wanna only offer you facts. Because one thing I learned in the intelligence world, you can be absolutely sure of something and still be absolutely wrong. So for that reason, please forgive me, I wanna refrain from offering any opinion or speculation.
Q: Good afternoon. I would like to know your opinion on a subject that I suppose would be of great interest to everybody in this room. When we look at presentations like yours, we always start from the 40s and the 50s, the 60s and so on. But really, here in Italy, in the last twenty years, or maybe more, we did not have any special or extraordinary phenomena like those we have seen many decades ago. Do you have any idea what could explain this effect?
Elizondo: I am not sure that’s entirely accurate. I think Italy is a smaller country than the United States. Smaller landmass. And as such, the issue about frequency may simply be a factor of geography. And it a may very well be, the larger landmass and more people that populate that landmass will see more things. I submit to you that a lot of your EU partners may in fact be seeing a lot of things. But without an integrated means to share that information and communicate that information, EU nations remain insulated and unaware of their neighbors. Thus the reason why communication is so important.
Q: We must recognize that the U.S. is already in possession of exotic materials starting in the 30s. Reminds me of the case of the so-called Los Angeles battle in 1942 where (unintelligible) were recovered. Now, if you consider that even on the Internet, you can find Pentagon documents containing analysis of materials that are…So, don’t you think that the U.S. and maybe even also other governments have already completely realized that (unintelligible) possess some of this technology. And don’t you think that this technology, which has already been achieved, in reality, cannot be disclosed because it could produce the total collapse of the system?
Elizondo: I have an answer for that. I submit to you that disclosure already occurred in December of last year. And to the best of my knowledge, no religions have ended and no governments have collapsed. I believe that disclosure is a process and not an event. And I believe if it’s done in the correct manner, that there shouldn’t be any unnecessary fear. This is a tremendous Universe we live in and if the EU finds life on Mars tomorrow, would that be cause to panic? And I submit to you that…probably not.
Q: According to you, does UFO equal alien or not?
Elizondo: No. It doesn’t. I never said they did. Let’s go back to, let’s say, the 1940s. And I’m flying in an American, B17 bomber over the South Pacific. And someone who’s never seen an airplane before, looks up at the sky and they see me flying over. I think it’s fair that the term UFO is subjective. And in fact, here we are seventy years later and there are actually islands in the South Pacific who are building and praying to effigies of B17 bombers that flew over their island seventy years ago. And lastly, I would submit to you that those people with saying to you that it was unidentified, it was flying, it was certainly an object. We need more data.
Q: Speaking about the day of the (unintelligible), do you think it’s going to be something that will happen in the future? Will it be something in the close future, in the far future? What do you think about that?
Elizondo: To be completely honest with you, I don’t think about it. I leave that for people like this group to think about. As an investigator, I’m only concerned on collecting the truth and speaking the truth. (Applause)
Q: My question is a bit peculiar. I hope you will be able to understand. In your presentation, you spoke about psychotronic weapons. As you know, a great person is Major Robert Dean has passed on recently. He has repeatedly declared towards the remote viewer. Myself, I’m a long time practitioner of yoga. So the question is, did you find any correspondence with the use of these psychic capabilities. Did you find ever any connection with the use of these capabilities and the pineal gland of the brain?
Elizondo: Remote viewing is a very interesting topic. I said I wouldn’t give you an opinion and here I’m about to give you an opinion. I think the quantum world, the quantum state is extremely bizarre but very relevant. The quantum world is real even if it’s hard to understand. There’s been much research in the last ten years about human consciousness and the quantum state. I think there’s a strong degree of probability that the quote, unquote, voodoo science of remote viewing is in fact part of the quantum world. There’s some very interesting, compelling data that points to very specific quantum mechanics involved in potentially things like remote viewing. In essence, remote viewing may be quite natural. But I’m certainly not qualified to say conclusively one way or the other.
Q: Among the stories of UFO/UAP phenomena, we regularly see that elongated objects of huge dimensions frequently fly at high altitudes and eject small objects that appear to have the function of reconnaissance. Later on, the developing story of the UAP phenomenon, the protagonists, the main characters of this story wear what look like reconnaissance devices. Further on, let’s say from the 80s on, there were a good number of sightings of things that could be called flying humanoids. Basically, an entity with a sort of flight capacity or devices. Later on, we found ourselves and still find ourselves, we find ourselves confronted of a new wave of a great number of small objects like a small group of birds, flying together, which in South America I call (unintelligible). So the question is, don’t you think that there is a certain kind of evolution in the manifestation of this phenomenon along the years…a kind of evolution which was somehow exposing less is possible, both the devices and the occupants of the devices. A sort of lower and lower and lower to find. Up ’til today, where we have the use of automatic probes.
Elizondo: Let’s start with flying humanoids. Look, I hate to say it but we’re doing it right now. They’re called hang gliders, parachutes and jets packs. So if humans can do it, anything that is more technologically advanced, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least bit.
Now as far as the evolution of sightings? Human beings have always been culturally centric. What sailors once described as mermaids, we know realize they’re dolphins and manatees. We as human beings look at things through a lens, depending upon the times in which we are alive. Thus is the case here in this very wonderful city called Roma and the descriptions of UAPs being burning or on fire Roman shields. So, it’s not surprising that sightings continue to evolve based upon our own understanding of science at the time and what our culture dictates.
As far as the physics of craft ejecting objects? We have observed that as well. But I’m not prepared to tell you one way or the other what it is. But we have observed it.
Q: Can you see the field?
Elizondo: We can. In some cases if we know what to look for, we can actually see a distortion around these craft, surrounded it. We believe it’s a result of the propulsion that’s being used. In essence, an event horizon is created. Imagine a bubble being created around the vehicle and if you are bending space time in a localized area, one can expect electromagnetic energy to behave differently inside that event horizon than outside. So, the energy that goes in that, inside that bubble, so to speak, whether it be light energy from the sun or electromagnetic energy from a radar, is not necessarily what gets reflected back out.
Q: When you’re talking about highly advanced, engineered material, it kind of implies that there’s an intelligence behind all those phenomena. What I’d like to know is…you being the former head of the AATIP project, did you consider the more interesting UAP cases to be driven by some kind of intelligence of whatever origin? Yes or no? And if yes, you must have thought about its motivations. What did you access in its behavior patterns that you have accessed? Are there repetitive patterns? Are there main things that they always do? Something that leads to a certain conclusion which they might repeat? Is there anything that gives you a hint as to what it is doing here? Repetitive patterns, activities or anything?
Elizondo: My colleagues and I during the time of AATIP were very confident that these are certainly intelligently controlled. Now whether that means there’s something inside it or it’s something remote controlled like a UAV, both are still options. As far as patterns are concerned? Yes, there are absolute patterns that exist. At this point, I’m only prepared to vaguely refer to perhaps the potential of nuclear and water. And not necessarily having to be related: nuclear and water. But there are some patterns there and I’m not prepared to go into any more detail than that at this point. But there are some congruencies.
Q: First of all, let me express my great appreciation. Being myself, an aerospace engineer and a military person, who for the first time, attends such a Congress, I really have perceived the technical contents of your presentation and the will to globalize this effort. I think that the real difficulties in this process of globalization, lies in the fact that the media, the TV transmissions and so on, are presenting…the kind of information which is driven by the media continues to be…and even today, lead to the various questions that have been posed. I’ve realized that most of the questions that were posed are of a very low technical level. Very neural and fiber-optical. (That can’t be a correct transcription but that’s what I heard! ?? ~Joe) But myself, I’ve got two or three questions I want to pose to you and I want to group them together. The first is…for this effort of globalization of your initiative, it’s extremely important to have collaboration between U.S. and Russia because these are two countries who really have occupied the low Earth orbit where these phenomena would be more visible. This is why I’m going to pose a nasty question: How is it that in the last 12 or 13 years, from the dome of the ISS, no astronaut – western, U.S. or European, has ever had the possibility to see one of these phenomena…any of these phenomena? Last question, last very technical question is, since I know that high temperatures can affect, severely, most materials, I’m very much curious to know the origins of the materials that you have shown. So, this I end and I really thank you very much for your presentation.
Elizondo: Amazing questions. I’m gonna try to answer each one succinctly as best I can. I can tell you, as a private citizen, we absolutely should be working with Russia. And we work with the Russians on many, many things. And as you know, no one gets to the space station, including Americans, without hitching a ride with the Russians. However, unfortunately, politics is not necessarily always in favor of mankind’s evolution. And politics, being run by politicians, don’t necessarily appreciate the requirement for humanity to work as a world. And thus, I would submit to you, ultimately there’s a problem with politics interfering with humanity. We collectively as people, need to put the right people in office. So in the end, if there’s someone really to blame, it’s you and me. Because we have failed to put the right people in our offices. And that’s on all sides.
Now the next question as far as the space station and the last 12 years. May I ask you a question? Do you believe in the existence of blue whales? Do you believe in whales in the ocean? When was the last time you saw one?
Questioner: Umm, in Argentina.
Elizondo: Do you believe in elephants?
Questioner: They told us, that they weren’t eat whales. (Once again, this can’t be a correct transcription ~Joe)
Elizondo: My point being is that there are things we take as human beings, as fact. I’m sure you can appreciate the space station being a very small object, not static. And if I were to call you in the space station today, and I were to tell you there’s a foreign object, two kilometers away, moving at 23,000 miles an hour, what do you think the chances are of you seeing it? Thirdly, I’d suspect there’s not a whole lot of windows on the International Space Station. So my point being – not to argue – unless you’re actively looking for something, or the EU or NASA tells you something, you’re not really gonna see it.
Now to your last question. You asked about material properties under extreme heat and also the provenance of these materials. Heat vitrification and heat ablation are certainly identifiable with objects reentering into Earth’s atmosphere. But those are objects that fall to Earth. Usually, conventional objects in which atmospheric friction affects the material. You’re not necessarily going to have the same effects on an object that is entering the Earth’s atmosphere in which atmospheric friction is not part of the calculus. So in that case, we can very quickly rule out material that burns in as a result of reentry and material with high amounts of iridium and unusual isotopic ratios. But has no physical, heat ablation. By the way, probably the three best questions I’ve ever received. So thank you sincerely. Spoken from a true scientist.
Same Guy: Just five seconds of follow-up for you. As an engineer, I’ve very much appreciated the possibility of interpreting all of these phenomena through E=MC2. This is a very important deal. Thanks.
New Q: I’m a journalist and I’d like to pose a question. I’m also a researcher. So I would like to pose you this question: What is your position on the general quality of information considering the 40s and so on and arriving to today. How do you consider the general quality of information to be nowadays?
Elizondo: I think the general quality of information itself hasn’t changed. But I think there’s more opinions now about the material. More than ever before. It’s in our nature as human beings to speculate. So from that perspective, it’s important we apply the same level of rigor and discipline in collecting the information, vetting the information, analyzing the information and preserving the integrity of the information, in the same manner that we investigated terrorism or espionage. We need to apply the same level of discipline when investigating these activities. In the absence of information, we as mankind will tend to fill those gaps with misinformation.
Q: Thanks very much for a very, very interesting presentation. I would like to pose a question which is in the reality, very, very articulated and romanced, so to speak. I’m aware that I’m risking saying something stupid considering the quality of the people who is attending this event. What you said when talking about the possibility that these objects can manage to move themselves through local distortion of the space-time fabric itself. But this movement could not be necessarily a space-time movement. But I wonder if it could be as well, a movement in time only? And if these objects really have the capacity of traveling in time, would it be possible that these objects that are what we are today, umm tomorrow that come back to see what happened in their past? Because to now, we have spoken of extraterrestrial lives capable of maneuvering or controlling these objects. But as you rightly said, we have been able to get extraordinary results just three years ago at the CERN in Geneva. The interaction that these have had with us really looks like study and monetary. They found an active use of this in the innovation of some nuclear capacity or devices. I’m wondering if these interferences have happened…if you think there is a reason why these interferences in these past few years when through our nuclear devices we can damage mostly ourselves and not maybe someone who… (unintelligible).
Elizondo: I think if I’m correct, your questions are really along the lines of humanity and not so much technology. Let me try to address the first area of your question. In AATIP, we tend to follow Occam’s Razor principle in that the simplest solution is more than likely, probably the right solution. Not always. Whether time travel is possible, I’ll leave that to the experts. But the warping of space-time, as a together, space-time. Not time. Space-Time. Is an absolute fact. Allow me to demonstrate that. I’m standing on the surface of Earth and I drop this piece of paper. That is absolute fact that Earth is warping space-time. And in fact, if I was standing on the Moon, where the mass is much less, or I’m standing on the Sun, where the mass is much greater, this effect would be much different. And in fact, our GPS satellites right now, because they are orbiting away from the surface of the Earth, further away from the mass of Earth, the atomic cesium clocks on those GPS satellites are in fact running at a different rate than here on Earth. So whether or not the warping of space-time is possible, there’s a proof. And that’s not technology, that’s just Earth. So, from our perspective in AATIP, we look at the warping of space-time as part of the natural state of the Universe. One only has to look at a black hole to see the bizarre nature of space-time. So whether or not things are from the future or the past, is certainly beyond my ability to have an opinion. But the warping of space-time is just as natural as you and me. So for us it is more likely that the warping of space-time, given the mathematical formulas, the scientific modeling and the observations, that that is a more likely solution.
(Gimbal video is shown)
Elizondo: I’ll make this quick. Bottom line, here’s an object. We’re at an altitude of 25,000 feet. You’re looking at the cloud tops here. This is an object that is almost at eye level. It looks a little bit like a weird looking, disc. And what you’re seeing here is not IR glare. It is in fact what we believe to be, potentially, a result of the propulsion. In the next ten seconds, watch as this aircraft, or whatever this is, orientates itself at a perfect 90 degree angle, at an altitude of 25,000 feet and yet does not fall out of the sky. If this was an aircraft and it was in fact a conventional type aircraft, and it were to turn like this, within several seconds, you would see the nose of the aircraft. Please keep in mind, an aircraft has to have lift under its wings, in order to fly.
(About to play video of Gimbal again)
Watch the aircraft’s orientation here.
(Gimbal video plays)
It goes from a plane like this, to a complete 90 degree angle. That object should not be able to do that. That object should fall out of the sky. And you’re only seeing part of that video. The rest of that video remains very sensitive. Plus, in this particular form of IR, you should see the heat from the engines, very clearly. And this is just one video that shows something very unusual. And for our friends here who are aerospace engineers, there’s a lot more physics behind this as well.
Now in the interest in time, I know it’s late and probably everybody wants to have dinner now. But in essence, that’s just one of the videos that people are talking about. And you can see for yourself. Other individuals saw this object once we picked it up on radar and were tracking it for a while.
And with that said, what I would like to do is offer my sincere and most humble appreciation for your time this afternoon and evening. I will do my best to get to people’s questions here, afterwards. For those of you who don’t have questions, I don’t want to hold you any more. But again, thank you, thank you so much and I hope to see you again in the near future.
38th DIRD Title Surfaces With Letter Addressed To McCain & Armed Services Committee
https://silvarecord.com/2019/01/17/38th-dird-title-surfaces-with-letter-addressed-to-mccain-armed-services-committee/
The thirty-eight Defense Intelligence Reference Documents, or DIRDs, were contracted by the DIA/DWO’s Advanced Weapon System Applications Program, which allegedly studied UFOs, Skinwalker Ranch, paranormal phenomena and much more.
To kick things off, two of the DIRDs were leaked in late 2017, by the always controversial and often criticized Sphere Being Alliance. They were titled Traversable Wormholes, Stargates & Negative Energy written by Dr. Eric Davis, and Warp Drive, Dark Energy & The Manipulation of Extra Dimensions written by Dr. Richard Obousy and Dr. Eric Davis. After the leak, Dr. Eric Davis confirmed them as authentic.
Months later in May, 2018, George Knapp and KLAS released two DIRDs – one that had been previously leaked, and a new document: Advanced Space Propulsion Based on Vacuum (Spacetime Metric) Engineering, written by Dr. Hal Puthoff.
Then in July, 2018, George Knapp and KLAS wrote about and released the complete DIRD title list minus one redacted entry due to its sensitive nature. This title list did not include the full reports, but it credited each author. Among the authors were, Dr. Richard Obousy and George Hathaway of Hathaway Research International.
Now in January, 2019, Nick Pope has posted the last un-redacted, thirty-eighth previously classified DIRD title, as well as an interesting cover letter that was apparently sent to Congressional Armed Service Committee of which John McCain was the chairman. Pope says the document was released to him by the DIA Office of Corporate Communications.
While some of the DIRD titles differ slightly between each list, it is clear the redacted DIRD is titled State of the Art and Evolution of High Energy Laser Weapons, written by J. Albertine. Now seeing the subject matter, it makes sense that it was classified.
Some of the research contained in the DIRDs has also been released by the authors in scientific literature. Keith Basterfield has done a great job digging into this. It’s interesting to speculate that if the United States Government is entertaining these topics, what else are they studying? Hopefully the complete DIRDs, not just the titles, will be released eventually.
Your very welcome Spark.
These are some interesting times..thanks for posting~
F/A-18 Pilot Fravor: “I Don’t Believe The Technology Was Developed Here. And I Mean…On This Planet.”
18 JAN , 2019
Commander David Fravor was the guest on a recent episode of “The Fighter Pilot Podcast” to discuss his encounter with and subsequent chasing of, a Tic Tac-shaped UFO back in 2004. This is the most detailed interview with Fravor I have heard so far. I transcribed about 80% of the interview and left out parts that weren’t directly related to the Tic Tac. After the transcription, I added some of my own thoughts about what Fravor had to say.
http://www.ufojoe.net/?p=620
Vincent Aiello: “Today, The Fighter Pilot Podcast is in Southern New Hampshire. And we are at the residence of retired United States Navy Commander, David Fravor. Sex, welcome to The Fighter Pilot Podcast, sir.”
David Fravor: “Thanks, Jell-O. It’s good to be here.”
VA: “Well, it’s been a long time. It’s good to see you well.”
DF: “It has. It has been a long time. You’re looking good.”
VA: “Thanks. I’m feeling good, Billy Ray. You know…first off, I never called you ‘Sex’ anyway, because I was junior to you. I used to call you Skipper and Sex just has this kind of weird feeling. Now we’ll get to the call sign thing at the end. (both laugh) I’m gonna call you Skipper if that’s okay.”
DF: “That’s fine.”
VA: “Excellent. Well, thank you for having me in your lovely home. And we are here today to talk about an experience you had back in 2004. And ever since.
(At this point, Fravor discusses his background, education, career and 15 minutes of fame he received after appearing on the PBS series, “Carrier.” If you’d like to hear all of that, click here.
VA: “So, you made headlines, earlier this year, for an event that took place back in November 2004. And that’s what we’ll spend the bulk of our time speaking about today. But I’m just curious – before we talk about the episode – why now? Why suddenly is all of this coming to light?”
DF: “You know, it’s interesting you ask. I hadn’t really done anything about it and it’s been pretty quiet. It was never secret. I wanna point it out because there’s a lot of people that think that this was classified. We weren’t allowed to talk about it. There were people on the boat that thought that we signed non-disclosures to not discuss this. That never happened. It just…it went away. And after – you know, you were out there – after about three days and the “Men In Black” cartoon and the other plane comic of “The Far Side.” When those went away, I had a squadron running, we all had to fly…we were in the middle of workups. So it just kind of faded away.
“I had got a call from the other pilot and they said, ‘Hey, have you been talked to about the Tic Tac lately?’ And I said, ‘No.’ They said, ‘Well…you know, I’ve been asked to go to the Pentagon like five times.’ You know…and they said, ‘Well you had the most ACM (Air Combat Maneuvering or Dogfighting. ~Joe),’ cause I was actually the one that engaged it. And I said, ‘Well, just give ’em my name and I’ll talk to them.’ So that was Lue Elizondo, who was running the AATIP program at the Pentagon. So he had called me up and said, ‘Hey, we’re gonna come up and talk to you.’ And I said, ‘Great. No problem.’ And…I didn’t think much of it. I’m like, yeah, I’ll tell you what you got. So about, probably a month later I had gotten information on the, “To The Stars” that was coming out with Tom DeLonge and I’m watching this clip that guy had sent me and Lue’s on it. So I call Lue. I go, ‘What’s going on?’ He goes, ‘I left the Pentagon.’ He goes, ‘We’ll be there like this weekend to talk to you.’ I said okay.
“So they came up here and talked to me about the whole incident and he told me what was going on. And he actually explained why he had left the Pentagon. He was a little bit frustrated with…basically the bureaucracy that he was having to deal with. And what he thought was very important. So, he called me up about a month later and said, ‘Hey, we want to do this article with the New York Times. Will you do it?’ And I said, ‘No.’ I actually said, ‘No, I’m not doing that.’ And he said, ‘No, no, seriously, dude we really need you to do this.’ I said, ‘Why do you need me to do this?’ He said,
‘Because we’ve gotten approval to announce that this program existed inside the U.S. government.’
“And he says, ‘And you’re the one piece that will add credibility, you know, because of our background of what we do, it gets harder to discredit us when we see something like that.’ And I said, “Ohhhhhh…alright.’
“I was actually in DC for work so I met him and Helene Cooper and Leslie Kean at a restaurant and they just started asking a question. And…when you first telling the story, there’s kind of like this jaw-dropping from the people you’re telling it to. Which, I was laughing because the only people that really knew the story – cause my family didn’t really know it – it was all my buds. We’d be out, having a beer or two and they’d say, ‘Hey Dave, what’s the coolest thing you ever saw flying?’ And then I’d say, ‘Well, I chased this UFO. And they’d be like, ‘You did what?!’ And I’d say, ‘No, seriously, we…’ and I’d give the whole story. And they’re all like…and you know, people that know me know I’m not totally crazy. And they would just go, ‘You’re joking.’ And I go, ‘No, I’m dead serious.’
“‘The cool thing is there was four of us. Because it was Fs (F/A-18F ~Joe). And Cheeks Kurth, who was the CO (Commanding Officer ~Joe) of the Marine Squadron, he was actually the red air for the event. And they talked to him before we even…they talked to us because he was the first one off the deck. Charlies didn’t have the gas to go play around a little extra like we did.
“So because of that, the New York Times article hit…what was it, December 17th of last year. And then your world explodes.”
VA: “Oh I can imagine.”
DF: “I completely underestimated…I got told, ‘Hey look, this is the New York Times.’ And I said, you know, because of “Carrier,” I’m like, ‘Hey, no…I kind of had that 15 minutes of fame. I really don’t want that 15 minutes of fame. (VA laughing) I wanna just crawl into my little sector of the world and go away.’ And they said, ‘No no, this is going to be a big deal.’ And I’m like, “Eh, no big deal.’ Well, the article hit the Internet – this is a funny story – on Saturday at two o’clock. So, I don’t know if you know Jeter? He was the Japan guy with me. He worked at Check Six with me. He…literally it hit and I get a phone call right away: ‘Dude, I’m sitting down to eat my lunch and I see your ugly mug on my screen. You’re an idiot.’ (both laugh)”
VA: “What would you expect from a fellow aviator?”
DF: “That’s exactly what I would I expect! He said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘Well, I was asked by the guy at the Pentagon to do this.’ And he said, ‘Holy cow!’ So the next day, I’m not thinking anything, my son-in-law was here visiting and we were taking him to the airport Sunday morning when the paper hit. And we’re literally getting ready to leave the house and my phone rings. And it’s a number that I don’t know. It’s from Jersey. And of course, my wife says, ‘Oh, answer it. I wanna see who it is.’ And I’m like, okay. So I answer the call. And I’m like, yeah yeah. Well it ends up being Good Morning America, which was followed by multiple CNN, which was Fox News, which was The Washington Post, which was The Boston Herald. I mean, I had a guy, literally, The Boston Herald guy track me down on Sunday and found me in a coffee shop on the north end with my wife and daughter.”
VA: “Yeah, never mind the Men In Black. It’s the journalists that frighten me. They can find you anywhere.”
DF: “Oh my God! It is amazing because, you know, it’s not like I’m publicizing this. I’ve actually tried to hide from a lot of people. They find you. Now it makes it easy because there’s not a lot of David Fravors running around the United States. I won’t say how many but it’s very few. I asked the girl. I said, ‘How did you find me?’ And she goes, ‘Oh, it wasn’t hard. We have this database we can go to.’ I did work out a little bit. The Today Show, NBC News had called and then they ended up canceling the interview because it was right when the tax reform came out from President Trump. But I had never been to New York City, my wife has been there a bunch. I went down there with her and I said, ‘Let’s get a tour.’ So I called up NBC, the girls that had worked with me, and I said, ‘Hey, I’m gonna be there. Can I get…I told you guys when I first talked to you that, you know, I wanna go see “The Today Show” and stuff.’ And they did! We got a little VIP tour of “The Today Show” and got to go see “The Tonight Show” – the Jimmy Fallon set. We got to see Saturday Night (Live?). That’s the one benefit. Actually, that’s like the benefit I got out of this whole thing. I called and said, ‘Hey, can we get a private tour?’ And it worked out, so.”
VA: “Well, if people are wondering what it is we’re talking about that brought you your second, fifteen minutes of fame. You’re up to about thirty minutes. Maybe I’ll give you another fifteen. This might be forty-five! (both laugh)”
DF: “Thanks, buddy.”
VA: “Yeah, you’re welcome. So, it was November of 2004. You and I and all of our air wing bubbas were on the USS Nimitz, off the coast of Mexico, south of San Diego. And we were doing what we call workups, which are just exercises at sea to prepare ourselves for deployment. Which ended up being the 2005 deployment that was chronicled in the PBS, “Carrier” special. And we are out flying on a beautiful day. We have the USS Princeton cruiser, operating with us as an air intercept, control provider. Or, air defense commander, I suppose, you would call it. And so, you launch on a mission and just, if you would, give us a quick summary of what happened that day that then blew up on you earlier this year and caused so much attention from the press.”
DF: “Okay, so, 2004, we’re in one of the early gos. I think we were actually the first go. We’re gonna do an air defense exercise. Not only we’re gonna get training cause we’re gonna be the good guys. The Marines are gonna take off. They’re gonna be the bad guys. And we’re gonna actually work with the controllers on the Princeton to do the air defense of the carrier battle group.”
VA: “Okay, so it’s a 2 v 2, out over the ocean…”
DF: “”Yep. So we launch. We join up. We’re in, obviously VFA-41. We’re flying Fs. So I have a wizzo (WSO or Weapon Systems Officer ~Joe) in my back seat. And the other pilot and the other wizzo are in the other jet. So they join up…we’re driving out. We hear a little comm on the radio as we’re checking through all…you know going through strike, getting all checked in. And all of a sudden, the Princeton comes up and says, ‘Fast Eagle. Hey, say your load out. (laughs) And I actually laughed. I said, ‘Well I got a CATM-9, and with a sledgehammer, you can get it off the airplane.’ Cause you know how they’re locked on. It’s just a big…it’s a hollow tube. It’s no real motor but it does have a real seeker head and its for training only. And they said, ‘Well, we’re gonna cancel the air defense exercise training right now, we have real world tasking.’ And we were to proceed to about forty miles south of the carrier. So you were right on, so if you draw…if you look at a map and go from San Diego down to Ensenada, we’re kind of working around that area. Closer to Ensenada than San Diego.
“So, we start pressing out and they give us a vector of 270, at about sixty miles. So we start driving out towards the west. I’m the lead, so my wingman, the other airplane, gets on my lefthand side. So they’re sitting to the south. So, I’ll start referencing a clock cause it makes it easier to go. So as we start driving out, you know, they’re calling forty miles, thirty miles, twenty miles, ten miles…We’re not seeing anything on the radar. We’re both clean, which means we see nothing. Then, all of a sudden, the cruiser calls Merge Plot, which tells us that now, the blip that they were looking at, and us, are in the same resolution cell. So it just looks like one blob. They can’t tell us apart.”
VA: “You’re in the same vertical column of air.”
DF: “That’s exactly right. So as we’re looking out, you know, the heads start coming out cause we’re looking to see where this thing is at. And as we look down off the right side of the airplane, we see…so we’d be at the six o’clock position of a clock and this object would be in the middle. We look down…and what it looks like is something like a sea mount under the water. Because it’s a…no whitecaps, beautiful clear day and there’s just this white water. And if you’ve seen a sea mount – which I know you have – where the waves come in, they just break over this, in the middle of the ocean. And it tells you there’s probably something under the surface. We kind of see this and as we’re looking, the back-seater in the other airplane, Jim Slaight ‘Clean,’ goes, ‘Hey skipper, do you…’ And right about when he gets to the do you, I’m looking and I see this little white object. It’s kind of randomly moving around the disturbance under the water.
“Now it’s important…the disturbance, think of it as…what we first thought is…you know, it looked kind of like a 737 size-wise, pointing to the east. Alright? So it looked like it had kind of wings, you know like shapes…like a cross. It was the way the disturbance was set up. And the little, white Tic Tac – is what we referred to it as because that’s what it looked like – was kind of going north, south and then east, west. But it wasn’t changing its direction. It was elongated to the north/south. So the longitudinal axis of this thing was pointing north.
“So the first thing you think is, oh, it’s a helicopter, right? So as we’re looking at it and he goes, ‘Hey, do you see, what the…’ And I go, ‘Yeah, what the hell is that?’ And we’re looking.”
VA: “What’s your altitude at this point?”
DF: “Uh, we’re at about 20,000 feet. So we’re looking down. There’s no rotor wash. There’s no wings. It literally looks like a Tic Tac and it’s just flopping around, right? So we’re like, that’s kind of weird. So as we remove around towards about the nine o’clock position, I decide, ‘Hey, I’m going to go check that out.’ (both laugh).
VA: “Of course.”
DF: “So the other pilot says, ‘Hey, I’m gonna stay up high.’ I said, ‘That’s perfect. Just stay up here. Just mirror us and I’ll go down.’ So we’re having all this comms. And I’m also talking on the intercom to my back-seater. And we’re both, you know, kind of like, ‘Dude, what is that?’ And we have no idea. So, at about the nine o’clock position we start that slow descent and as we get around to the twelve o’clock…and we’re watching this. So this whole evolution’s gonna take about five minutes because we’re only dong around 300 knots. (345 mph ~Joe) We’re just kind of saving gas. So we get to about the twelve o’clock position and the thing, which had been pointing north/south, basically just turns. So now the longitudinal axis is kind of pointing to the west. And it starts mirroring us. So we’re in a slow descent, clockwise flow and it’s coming up the same way. So this thing’s been in a hover, right over the water, with no rotor wash or nothing and then all of a sudden, it goes…BOOP, and starts climbing.
“So we’re kind of looking at it and we go around, you know…all the way around. So as we approach about that six to eight o’clock position – actually, we’re at six and you know, we can watch it, it’s coming up below us. At about the eight o’clock position – we’re at eight o’clock and it’s over towards about two o’clock – there’s probably about, maybe about 3000 feet of altitude between us. So, we’re probably at about, you know, somewhere around the fifteen-ish thousand and then he’s probably around…the thing is probably around that eleven/twelve thousand, somewhere around there. So I go, ‘Well, the best way to fix it a two- circle, fight – so he’s on the opposite side of the circle – is cut across the middle of the circle. So I go, nose low, and cut across the circle and pull lead on it. So I, finally at the eight o’clock…think of it as, I point my nose down…I’m gonna cut across the bottom. I’m gonna make a big scoop out out of the bottom of it. I’m going kind of over towards three o’clock cause I wanna kind of be over there when he gets there. And as we start pulling nose up, the thing rapidly accelerates like from, just this nice, easy, kind of mirroring our speed to…poof, it’s gone as it crosses our nose. It just disappears.
“So we’re like…I go…I ask the other airplane, ‘Hey you guys see that?’ And they’re like, ‘It’s gone.’ Now keep in mind, they’re still above us. So it’s not like, you know…we have different perspectives of the object. And the object, we both see it just take off and disappear. So we’re like, (laughs) alright, now I’m pretty weirded out. So I said, ‘Hey, let’s turn around and see what was in the water. Cause we’re right there. So we basically just turned the airplanes around real quick and there’s nothing. There’s no disturbance, there’s no whitewater…as far as you can see, there’s nothing. So we kind of turn and I’m like, ‘Well, you know, look at the clock…but we gotta get some training done.’ And, I told my back-seater…I said, ‘Dude, I’m pretty weirded out. That’s…that’s odd.’ So…and the controller’s hearing all of this, so. I remember telling the controller, I said, ‘Hey, please tell me that you guys are gonna strip the radar tapes.’ And throughout this, he’s been telling us, ‘Hey sir, we’ve been tracking these things for like two weeks, since we got out here.”
VA: “Really?”
DF: “We got here in the beginning of the month. Remember, we got out in the beginning of November. It was a two-month at sea. Remember I was fighting to get home for Thanksgiving?”
VA: “Yeah.”
DF: “So, he says, Yeah, we’ve been tracking these things. They’ve been coming from, basically 80,000 feet or above 80,000 feet, coming straight down and hanging out at like 20,000 feet. And they had been tracking like, up to, you know…multiple. You know, I think it was like up to ten. And then they would hang out for a little bit and then they would go back up. And this was the first time that they had had manned airplanes, airborne when these things showed up. Which was, you know, it happens to be us. You know, I don’t know if that’s lucky or unlucky (both laugh). But, my life would have been just fine if this never happened.
“So, I said, ‘Well, hey we’re gonna go back, to the CAP,’ which is our hold point for the exercise. And meanwhile, the Marines are still hanging out, you know. They’re a hundred miles south of the ship just kind of doing circles in the sky. And the controller comes up and says, ‘Sir, you’re not gone believe this but that thing is back at your CAP point,’ And we’re like, ‘Oh great.’ So we end up getting to the CAP…we don’t see it, we do the exercise and we go back and land. When we had landed, we were in the PR shop and one of our crews was getting ready to launch. And we’re telling them this and they’re like, ‘Ahhh.’ So, Chad Underwood, NUTS, goes, ‘Hey, I’m gonna get video of this thing.’ And that’s actually the video that you see. The video was taken by him. We, chased it visually.
“The one regret of the whole side from my point of view was that, because we never used the helmet cam on the joint helmet – because it was just nauseating to try and watch on a screen – I never had it on. Cause had I had it on, you had probably got tons of video of this thing flying around. And then the other side is is because nothing was done and a lot of the stuff is lost. Like we have the tapes. We have the radar tape and the FLIR tape. The FLIR tape is what you guys have seen but it’s been degraded so many times because it’s been copied. But on the high-res monitors it was pretty good. And then the radar tape actually showed, you know, the thing. As we hit it with the radar, it started to jam. Went to the jam extrapolate and the aspect vector started spinning around because it didn’t want to be locked up. And Chad saw that, you know, that’s what he had seen when he did it. And then, obviously the video. But all the radar tapes from the Princeton…there’s a bunch of stuff that’s missing that they can’t find.”
VA: “Hmmm…”
DF: “Matter of fact, in the archives – I was talking to someone that has access to this stuff – the log book, someone has taken that page. Sometimes it’s just, you know, the sailor that wants…thinks it’s cool. Like a buddy of mine saved the Airplane from that day. And when this broke, sends me a text going, ‘Dude, I saved this for all these years…because this was such a strange event,’ and sent me the Airplane comic. So…”
VA: “So that’s crazy. So…I wanna talk about after you landed. What, if anything, happened as far as the debrief. But it might be worth mentioning that the USS Princeton is what we call an AEGIS cruiser. And, correct if I’m wrong but that technology is probably about as good as it gets for detecting and tracking air contacts. Isn’t that true?”
DF: “Yeah, it’s one of the most sophisticated, if not the most sophisticated radar in the world. And with that whole system. I mean, I think it was the SPY-1B at that time. They’re beyond…it’s just incredible technology that we possess.”
VA: “Right. I mean they can track, incoming ballistic missiles and target them with other missiles. Which is a miracle in its own right. And then also you said it was occurring for the two weeks prior to that. Was there, other than NUTS’ encounter after the event of yours, was there any more that you’re aware of in the days and weeks that followed?”
DF: “No. Not that I know of. Now, supposedly the ships had seen stuff and then when we came back off that at sea period…so we got back, you know, right before Christmas. January. We have Comcast, so I had the Comcast home page. And the top video of the year for the 2004 year which came out in January of 2005, for Comcast videos, was the Mexican Air Force tracking like six of these things with a FLIR. In the same area. So, it wasn’t just us. I think we were the only ones…cause there was a lot of people that you know, hey we had radar contact on something odd. You know, we saw FLIR video of stuff in the distance. But I don’t think anyone else has actually visually chased the thing like we did. That’s why it’s unique.”
VA: “So when you landed, as we usually do, you’d probably run down to CVIC, Combat…I don’t even remember what it’s called any more.”
DF: “Carrier Intelligence Center. CVIC.”
VA: “Okay, there ya go. Thank you. And you’re probably talking about it and…I mean I’m just curious. So, the Air Wing Commander or Ship’s Commander, anyone come in and ask you about it?”
DF: “No. This is where it gets…At first we thought…okay this is, this is kind of odd. We’ve got something that we have…we can’t control. We can’t…for the performance of it. You know, anything that hovers like that, doesn’t not accelerate like…you know. And you’ve seen…you know, I’ve seen airplanes doing 1.8 going by me doing the high fast like at Top Gun where guys are, you know, you just see the CONS coming. But to see something that literally accelerates. Cause even if you go to Mach II (approximately 1500 mph ~Joe) Think of a rocket that takes off. You watch it and those things accelerate relatively quick but you can watch them for a significant period of time. This thing literally disappeared in a matter of…you know, less than a second. It was in front of me and it was gone.
“So, we think, ‘Oh yeah, someone’s gonna come and talk to us.’ So, we had the tapes. My back-seater went down cause he was junior. He did the debrief in CVIC. And, you know, you gotta tell them what’d you do: ‘Oh we chased this thing. We have no idea what it was.’ And then, of course, they’re laughing, cause they think it’s funny. And he comes back to the ready room. And there’s some other stuff that went on. So, we’re like, ‘Okay, maybe someone’s gonna come. And the next thing you know, the intel guy comes down and says, ‘Hey, we wanna…we need your tapes. They’re gonna start this investigation.’ And they’re making it like it’s a big deal. The problem was is it wasn’t a big deal because we figured out they thought it was a big, funny joke that they would do this. So I remember going down there. I told Del. I said, ‘I’ll be back…I’m gonna go get those tapes.’
VA: “Del was your XO?” (Executive Officer. ~Joe)
DF: “Yeah. And I went into the uhh, (laughs) I went into CVIC and I said, ‘Hey, I need my tapes’ and they were just looking at me. I said, ‘I’ll tell you what. You got about two minutes to give me those tapes or I’m gonna tear this place apart and there’s not a damn thing you’re gonna do about it.’ And the Lieutenant that was in there…and I said, ‘You can go get your boss if you want cause I’ll have the same talk with him.’ And within about thirty seconds, I had the tapes in my hand and we took those back to the ready room because they’re actually our property.”
VA: “Right. And the classified equipment.”
DF: “So we copied them, believe it or not. Because we use those tapes again. So we copied them and we wrapped them up and stuffed them in the safe. They were wrapped in a piece of yellow paper that said 4CO and they stayed there. We came back from cruise, they were in the ready room safe. And then somehow, they disappeared. No one knows where they went. And I don’t know if it was, you know, there’s been several COs since then. You know, probably about eight different COs. So. No one knows where they went. You know how it is when you go to and from crews. Someone goes, ‘What are these? Hey, they look like blank 8mm tapes. We’ll just use them.'”
VA: “Oh, okay. Someone might have taped over them.
DF: “It’s consumable. So no one knows where those tapes actually went.”
VA: “Did you end up with a copy of anything?”
“And I had another friend that I had talked to because of the phone call that was prompted by Cheeks. And I was talking to her and I said, ‘Hey, I had this incident, you know. Is there anything you can find out?’ And she said, ‘Oh, let me see.’ Didn’t think anything of it and about a month later I had gotten a call from a guy and said, ‘Hey, we’re going to investigate this thing.’ So, they actually did. There was a report that just got released…that Harry Reid released. The former Senator from Nevada. Which was actually…I like to call it the unofficial, official report. Because it wasn’t an official report. It was just done to try and capture some of this. I look at it as more as exercising the system. I don’t know what the whole purpose was.
“So they did it and that became the unofficial, official report. It’s actually pretty well done. The are a few inaccuracies in it because, you know, it’s a lot of people’s story and at the time, it was five years after the event. So people start forgetting stuff. And I’m not saying that my recall is perfect but I used to have pretty good recall. Just from training and teaching BFM (Basic Fighter Maneuvers ~Joe) for so long. So, the report came out and I think that’s what helped prompt a bunch of the stuff. And then, since last year, when the article hit – you know that they’re trying to prove that this stuff is out there – it just went completely out of control.”
VA: “So, you said a moment ago, FLIR video. Did you mean from Nuts? The second wave or did you guys get FLIR video?”
DF: “No. We did not get any FLIR video. Nuts went out and took it. If you look at the video as you watch – because there’s all kinds of naysayers out there, ah it’s a blemish on the array – he goes between multiple sensor modes. He goes in EOIR, which is TV, black and white TV. And then he uses IR, which is infrared. And he intentionally goes through all the zoom lenses: narrow, medium, wide…you know. And you see that happen. You know, he does an auto-track on it, which is the bars on the side. And then all of a sudden it breaks and goes zooming off to the other side. For us, it’s like…you know, we saw it. When he brought the video back, we’re like, ‘Oh, that’s it.’ We could see the hi-res because it was the original tape of the airplane, which digitally pulled from the back. Not through cameras or anything like that. So, for all the Internet experts out there…don’t talk about what you really don’t know. Just because you heard it from a friend’s cousin’s friend’s sister at college roommate. You know? It doesn’t make it real.”
VA: “So, Skipper. I ended up flying most of my twenty-five years, accrued 3800 flight hours. I know many people with similar amount of hours. You probably have several thousand.”
DF: “Yeah, 3800.”
VA: “3800. And apart from November 14th, 2004, I’m sure you would say the same thing I have. And people have asked me since I began this show. I’ve never seen anything in the air that I could not identify. What do you feel, based on your experience and having spoken to the other people that were there that day…what did you see?”
DV: “We have no idea what it was. You know, there’s…”
VA: “It was unidentifiable.”
DV: “Yeah, we have no…there’s nothing…I had seen nothing in eighteen years and at the point it was sixteen years of flying. So I was about 3600 hours. And I never got out of the cockpit. As you know. I didn’t go to the Pentagon or anything like that. We saw it and literally, we’re all looking at each other and I’m talking to the guy in my back seat. And I’m just like, ‘Dude, I have…I have no idea what that was.’ And I had been around the block, so it wasn’t, you know…I wasn’t the new person right out of the rag that just got in the jet and went, ‘Oh my God, I saw something!’ And then like, ‘Nah, it was a weather balloon.’
“You know, cause we would see people do that, you know, like when we would go and practice bombing down by Huma. And you’d be on the downwind, away from the target. They have the balloons, the border balloons that are in the restricted. And people would see it and say, ‘Hey, I got a contact.’ And you gotta tell ’em, ‘No, that’s actually just a balloon that’s on a tether. It’s not going anywhere. It’s gonna be there all day long.’ So stuff like that. But to see something that could go from a hover with no rotor wash, no wings, no discernible propulsion…and you can see that on the IR. There’s no plume coming out of it. It’s just sitting there in space. And then to back that up with the coverage of what the radar was seeing. We don’t have, at least in modern, reactive propulsion – you know, suckers and blowers…jet engines – we don’t have the ability to react that quick and counter drag. I mean, this thing moved through the atmosphere like it just…like it, there was no constraints on it. It just did whatever it wanted to do.
“So that was the biggest deal, which is funny because the other pilot had a different, you know…the other pilot was relatively new. And so, as they’re going out there, the initial thing is, when they cancel it and you go real world and you’re off the coast of Mexico, what do you think? Drug runners, right? Hey, there’s an object out there. We gotta go check it out. Well, and you get out to the area and you look down and all of a sudden it looks like there’s something in the water, you know, that’s causing this disturbance under the water. Now it goes from excitement to search and rescue. You know, are we gonna have to do this? And then the next one is, you see something that you’ve never seen and you can probably hear it in our voice, you know, the experienced people in the airplane, you know, that are out there. And it goes to, you know…what is that? We haven’t been told…we had no idea what we were going at.
“No one ever gave us this…no one ever told us…there was no brief. As you know, there was no CVIC brief, ‘Hey, we’ve seen these objects out there.’ Kind of that you had on the other video that came out that was the Gimbal video where it rolls? That had been on the East Coast. There’s actually NOTAMs (Notice To Airmen ~Joe) out there that these objects were out there and…just to know they’re out there. Because one of the airplanes in a squadron almost hit one.”
VA: “On the East Coast?”
DF: “Yeah, yeah. It went about like a hundred feet down the side. They were in section and it went down the side and they just came back and said it looks like a ball with a cube inside of it. Almost like a square that has an aura around it. So, at what point do you go, ‘Hey maybe we outta, check this out.’ Cause someone goes, ‘Well, maybe it’s tests. Maybe it’s some test of a new system that no one wants them to know. And I said, ‘Well, that’s great. But they typically don’t go test new systems where we’re actually doing training with other aircraft. Because, if this is some really expensive toy that you’re playing with out there and it gets hit by a fighter. Well, one you lose the fighter, possibly kill the aircrew and two, your toy is destroyed. So, you know, normally they do those in areas where, you know, they’ll take it out to one of the ranges like Fallon or something like that. You know, they’ll have exclusive use of the restricted areas. But taking one to the warning area, which is not a restricted area…cause a warning area, anyone can fly through it. You can take a Cessna and fly though it. All it is is military training in this area, proceed at your own caution.”
VA: “Sure. Well, maybe the idea was that being out in the middle of the ocean, they would be away from any prying eyes. Which even over Fallon, arguably, you’ve got Highway 50 and some other stuff where people could catch a glimpse. If you really didn’t want anyone to see it. And maybe they just didn’t, you know, check who else was going to be operating in that area at the time and…you know how it is with government. It’s hard enough to coordinate anything, let alone between secretive programs. But I guess I’m just amazed to hear that there’s something on the East Coast as well. I mean, why do you think this isn’t more publicly spoken. Society loves movies and conspiracy theories. I’m surprised that this isn’t getting more press.”
DF: “You know, my opinion and it’s not just my opinion…Lue, who did the…ran the Pentagon program. Him and I have talked extensively about this. It’s just…there’s an aura in the United States that when you see something like this. You know, normally the dude on TV that’s talking about, “Hey, I just saw a UFO,” he lives out in the middle of nowhere. Immediately, people discredit him. He’s alcoholic. Or, he’s kind of crazy. Or, this or that. So there’s always this perception that it’s better just to make fun of it. Because if it’s not real or we just ignore it, then it will just go away and it’s not a big deal. And I think now there’s a point of…cause you don’t know where it’s from. I don’t know if it was from China or Russia. And I always joke because, you know, right after we had that workup, I think it was Acani (?) who was out there working up when the sub surfaced in the wake and the whole world was like…it was a big deal. And I said, I guess maybe if the Tic Tac would have had like a symbol from a foreign country on it and we saw it, then it would have gotten paid more serious attention then.
“There’s a technology there that we can’t do much about. Because these things were coming for two weeks at will. And even if you go…what were they doing? Monitoring? Watching? Observing? Prepping the battlefield? You know? You don’t know what they were doing. But if you look at it and go…man for two weeks these things were showing up. They were coming from areas that we can’t do and then all of a sudden, they’re disappearing. You might wanna spend a little time to go, ‘God, what is that?’ What performance would it cost you to be able to do that? I mean we’re happy right now that Space X can land a rocket motor back on a pad. Well if you had that technology that we saw, it would make everything like that obsolete. It would make almost every propulsion mechanism we have, obsolete.”
VA: “So, based on that, in your gut, where do you think this thing came from?”
DF: “I don’t think it…honestly, I don’t believe the technology was developed here. And I mean like…”
VA: “Earth?”
DF: “…on this planet. I’m not…I don’t wanna…I don’t like to talk about aliens cause I don’t know what it was. You don’t even know…what…maybe it was unmanned. I don’t know. Because there’s also the theories that it accelerated so fast that a normal human, you know, a body…”
VA: “Fluids.”
DF: “…couldn’t sustain the force. But, I just don’t…I don’t think…I think, honestly if we had that technology, especially now that it’s been fourteen years since it happened…honestly if we had that technology in the last fourteen years, something would have leaked out. To hide that for that long, when it could benefit so many people, you know. Or maybe it wouldn’t? You know? I don’t know. But if you assume that they’ve got some new revolutionary propulsion that works by manipulating gravity, per say, then, I would like to think that…that’s a game-changer for mankind.”
VA: “Well, so is, I would argue, assuming that…and I’m not challenging you on this, but, you know…you saw what you saw. I didn’t. But I have to think, seeing something that you can only explain as coming from somewhere else…I mean, does that change your core belief in our existence and the Universe? I mean, what does that do to you?”
DF: “Umm…well, for me, I’ve always kind of believed, ah. And I asked my astrophysics prof(essor) when I was at the academy and we were going up to the thing. And I said, ‘Hey! You’re astrophysics, right?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘Do you believe in like, extraterrestrial life? You know, not from this planet?’ And she looked at me and she said, ‘Absolutely not.’ And I said, ‘Really? And you’re in astrophysics?’ She says, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘But, we’re to this point where the Universe is infinite. It goes on forever, right? And, you know, we have one galaxy. But we know, for a fact that there’s more galaxies out there and that they’re investigating the Goldilocks belts and all this. And that’s….this is multiple galaxies. We still haven’t even really thoroughly looked at our own galaxy. And we’re the only ones? That’s honestly what you believe?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘Doesn’t it make it really like, lonely?’
“I mean, even if there was like, you know, kind of Seinfeld…the bizzaro world, you know? Where maybe there’s a whole nother world that’s just like us but we’re kind of the opposites of the way we are in real life? I do that in humor, but…just because it makes it easier to talk about. But you go, and that’s it? And I go, ‘I don’t know.’ I go, because, I would say…because, you know, if you’re religious, and you go, hey, God created the Earth. And I go, ‘Okay, I’m totally on board with that because that’s what I believe. But who’s to say that he only created one?”
VA: “That’s right.”
DF: “Argue that point. I mean God created Earth but what about…maybe he made, ten of them. Just to see…and he made them a little bit different, just to see what happened. You don’t know.”
VA: “Right. And they all have their own version of the Bible.”
DF: “Well, you’re right. And we have a hubris about our own selves. You know, as human beings…that we are it, we’re all that, we’re the smartest, we’re the best. You know, it would be terrible for us to realize that maybe we weren’t. You know we do that with animals. We figure out that, you know, some of these animals that are out there, the more we study, they’re actually really, really intelligent. And can do some pretty amazing things that we can’t. And we could never do, so…”
VA: “Well, it’s a very deep topic and certainly I didn’t intend to go there but I appreciate you bringing it up (laughter). I will tell you, I have a college friend, who was on one of the last space shuttle flights before it retired. And I visited her as I was delivering an airplane across the country in my last capacity at the depo. And I asked her about her space flight. I said…because she had grown up in the church as well. And I said, ‘Does that change your outlook on anything?’ And she took it from a slightly different, nuanced perspective than apparently your professor did. She said, ‘When you consider,’ – like you said – ‘the amount of galaxies and the Goldilocks belt and everything else that’s out there…if you just think statistically, it’s almost impossible that there’s not other life or something.’
“Because, if you flip a coin a hundred times, it’s virtually impossible that you’re not going to get a heads at least once. Now multiply that times…That’s obviously a poor example. I’m sure mathematicians will holler at me. But, you flip it a thousand times, a million times. And there’s how many billions and trillions of galaxies? So, I’m not using this podcast as a platform to suggest that, you know, we’re going to sit here and tell our listeners that we think there’s life outside of the Earth. But, you know, certainly Hollywood likes to venture into that. And here you are, a very clear-eyed, sober, publicly trained person who knows what you know from that day. And it has left you to believe that there’s no there explanation. I mean, is that a fair summary?”
DF: “Oh very much. You know, there’s a funny story that ties to that. I’m gonna throw it out here. Get my mother-in-law’s kudos. But…for years, literally, from the time I started flying, my mother-in-law would ask me, ‘Have you ever seen a UFO? Have you ever seen a UFO?’ And the answer was, ‘No, no, no.’ So this incident happened. I never told her. I didn’t tell them until November of last year. My wife and I had went home and everyone had kind of left after Thanksgiving as we’re sitting around the table. And I said, ‘Hey.’ I said, ‘I gotta tell you guys something cause there’s gonna be an article that comes out in the New York Times and it’s gonna be big. And I’m in it.’ And they’re like…And of course she’s looking at me like…Oh God. (laughter).
VA: “What did you do?”
DF: “And I said. I said, ‘I chased a UFO.’ That’s literally what I would say. And they go…and she goes, ‘Ah-ha!!!’ She looks at my father and goes, ‘Ah ha!!! I told you!’ She goes, ‘You never told us!’ I said, ‘No.’ As a matter of fact, when the article hit, my sister, you know, because it was all over Google. My sister’s like, ‘Why didn’t you ever tell us?’ I said, ‘I don’t know. It’s not something we normally talked about.’ I never really got into details with my wife or my kids. They kind of knew the story because they would hear me tell it. But it as really just, like I said, it was great story when you’re hanging out with your friends, having a beer and they go, ‘What’s the weirdest thing you saw?’ And you tell them and then they go, ‘No way!’ And you go, ‘Yeah.’ That’s really what it was until the article came out.”
VA: “How have people responded to you? I know you said, you had people, your friends, and here I am, chasing you down, for that matter. But, have you had whackos trying to find you? Like, ‘Okay, I’ve been trying to say this forever’? I maybe shouldn’t call them whackos. Let me ask this again. I mean, have you had people that, you have somehow now solidified in their minds, what they’ve known all along? And so they’re looking to you to help corroborate that UFOs are among us? Or aliens. Or, I mean…What kind of responses have you received?”
DF: “You know…cause you think…ah alright, you’re gonna get called a whackjob. And uhh, there was some good advice my daughter gave me: Don’t ever read the comments below the article. Don’t ever do that. And so I’ve avoided that, most of the time. But for the most part, I’ve been treated extremely well. The press guys that have talked to me. Because I’ve been very vocal that, you know, as I told them when they first came out with stuff, when they did the New York Times, I told Helene, (Cooper) cause she actually did the story with me. I said, ‘Don’t mess up the facts. I’ll be really upset cause it gets twisted. And so the articles that were well done that I can just name right off the top of my head are: The New York Times, The Washington Post article was very well done cause Eli had called me multiple times. There was an article in the Sun Times in London that was extremely well done.
“And most of that is…it wasn’t a drive by, like fifteen-minute, type article. It was a…there was an iteration as they wrote the article and then they…to make sure that they had it right. So that stuff, you know, that helps. Because if you take…there’s a lot of people out there that’ll look and they’ll look at all the articles. And they’ll find one thing. And they’ll assume that, you know, maybe you’re changing your, you guys are changing your story. And it’s not. It’s just a misinterpretation by the media when they do it. It’s not intentional. It’s just…it’s the way they write it. And I’m a big, you know, don’t embellish stuff. Just tell it what it is. The story, if you talk to us, the story is the same. It’s always been the same. It hasn’t changed. It’s the same story that we told in 2004 after it happened, to the same story that went into the New York Times. Are there people out there that have tried to track me down? Oh yeah.”
VA: “I’m thinking of like, the “Independence Day” character, Dennis Quaid was it?”
DF: “Randy Quaid.”
VA: “Randy Quaid, thank you. Who maybe would be a real life guy like that, perhaps trying to find you to pal up with you or something. I mean, anything like that?”
DF: “Umm, no. Some of that happened with the “Carrier” documentary. This one has been…I’ve gotten letters from, literally, all around the world. I mean, this thing’s global. I just did. I’m waiting for the magazine to show up. But I did an interview for…I can’t pronounce it because it’s…it’s basically the Dutch version of GQ Magazine. The article just hit.”
VA: “We’re not gonna see a picture of you in your underwear, are we?”
DF: “No, no, no, no. God, you don’t want to see that right now.”
VA: “Okay. Thank you. No, I think it saw it on the ship once and I’m scarred for life.” (both laugh)
DF: “No, this is uhh…I mean, it’s literally all over. But it’s funny is cause the media has a very short attention span. So when it happened, it was like, exponential. It was out of control.”
VA: “Oh, I remember.”
DF: “The news dies really fast. Old news goes away. Then rolls in the documentary people and the TV people. Like right now, I’m rolling around like four different TV shows cause they all want to interview me because it’s important. And I did one with…Lue is doing a set with ‘To The Stars’ on this whole thing. That one I like because the girl that’s doing it did ‘Chain of Command,’ which was on The History Channel, where they actually went around with the Generals. And what really sold me, believe it or not, with her, is…Jesse had…we were talking and she goes, ‘Oh yeah. I was out on The Bush.’ Well, you know, Skids was the captain of The Bush an Kenny was the battle group commander when they were doing all the ISIS work. So I wrote Kenny and I said, ‘Hey! You know, these people were out on the boat with you. What can you say about Jessie?’ And he basically wrote back and said, ‘Really good group. Very professional. Did a nice job.’ So that’s important to me because that’s a…that’s an instant credibility, you know, if I talk to, you know…If Kenny tells me, ‘They’re good, Dave,’ then I don’t need to ask anyone else. If I get it from a source like that…like if I call you up and go, ‘Hey, are they good people?’ And you go, ‘Yeah, you can trust them, they’re good,’ I don’t need to call anyone else. I don’t need to go do research. Your word is more than enough for me to go…it’s…You know how the network works. You know, when that came out, I said, ‘Okay,’ and they asked me to do it. We’ll see how it comes out.”
VA: “Well, it sounds like you’re going to be very busy with some various projects. I do want to thank you for adding in “The Fighter Pilot Podcast” to your lists of projects.
“I think we earlier added it up. You’re up to about forty-five minutes of fame. It’s gonna be, probably closer to two hours here, Sex, when you get done with the documentaries and everything you’ll be doing. Any thought of going out on the speaking circuit?”
DF: “You know, it’s funny you say that. I’ve been asked. I’ve been told to get on the public circuit. I’ve been told to get an agent. It’s not me.”
VA: “You don’t like the spotlight?”
DF: “Nah…you know, it gets old really, really fast. Because you realize there’s…You know 99% of the people are awesome. It’s the one percent that wants to pry and get into your life, that just, you know. And I am not…I would say I’m far from famous. You know, I like to joke that I’m more like Forrest Gump that just happens to get put in situations. Like not…like how’d that guy end up there?
“If people wanna talk about it, I’ll talk about it. I’m pretty open. But, you know, I asked for that, you know, when they do these, don’t prod me. Cause people will find you. Like I had notes in my mailbox, at my house.”
VA: “Oh my gosh. Stalkers.”
DF: “And…we can talk later about some other things.”

I skipped a lot of transcribing towards the end. If it wasn’t related to the Tic Tac incident, I went past it. If you want to hear how Fravor got his “Sex” callsign, click here.
After thanking Fravor for allowing him into his home, Vincent Aiello closed with this:
VA: “And for you dear listener, I leave this open. I don’t know what to tell ya. Prior to this interview, I would have told you there is no such thing as UFOs or extraterrestrial activity here in our atmosphere. But after listening to Commander Fravor’s story – and I was even on the ship that day. I don’t remember why I didn’t get more involved with it – but after looking him in the eye and hearing his explanation as you just did, I don’t know what to think. So, I’ll leave it up to you. Could be from somewhere else. It could be from another government or maybe our own.”

Joe’s comments:
Who Gave Approval/Permission?
Fravor says that Elizondo told him, “we’ve gotten approval to announce that this program existed inside the U.S. government.”
Tom DeLonge spoke about being given permission on the Joe Rogan Experience:
Are those the guys who gave Elizondo the approval to announce the existence of the Pentagon’s secret UFO (AATIP) program? Or was it the “certain agency” represented by six guys who DeLonge says interrogated him for two days straight in a hotel near his home in San Diego sometime after that meeting with the general and colonel took place? Elizondo has said he resigned due to frustration because the DoD wasn’t dedicating enough time and effort to studying the phenomenon. And he also told the New York Times that he had, “received two threats from people inside that building [the Pentagon]…I had somebody call me and actually tell me maybe I should be threatened for my personal safety.” So, some folks are extremely upset with Elizondo for speaking out and others were encouraging DeLonge to pursue Disclosure, confirmation or whatever you wanna call it. As others have noted, there seems to be a battle between two factions within our government. So, who gave the approval? And how high up in the government food chain are those folks?
~~~~~
Was There Something Under The Ocean?
Fravor described what he saw when he first arrived on the scene:
“We look down…and what it looks like is something like a sea mount under the water. Because it’s a…no whitecaps, beautiful clear day and there’s just this white water. And if you’ve seen a sea mount – which I know you have – where the waves come in, they just break over this, in the middle of the ocean. And it tells you there’s probably something under the surface.”
Lieutenant Colonel Doug “Cheeks” Kurth (who later went to work for Robert Bigelow and BAASS (under AATIP) as the program manager from 2007-2013) arrived before Fravor, Slaight and the others. Paco Chierici, who was the first to break the Tic Tac story, described what Kurtz saw:
“The sea was calm, almost glassy smooth and it was late morning on a beautiful SoCal day. Perfect conditions. As Cheeks flew over the spot he saw a disturbance on the surface of the ocean. A round section of turbulent water about 50-100 meters in diameter. It was the only area and type of what he called, “whitewater” describing that it looked as if there was something below the surface like a shoal or what he’d heard a ship sinking rapidly would look like.
“He overflew the disturbance and circled back in the direction of Nimitz without ever seeing what caused the water to froth. As he turned away, which happened to be the moment the Super Hornets converged on the location, the whitewater cleared and the ocean surface returned to its smooth state. The spot of the previous disturbance was completely indiscernible.”
It certainly appears that something was just under the surface of the ocean. But this report, acquired by George Knapp and allegedly put together by Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies, (BAASS) came to a different conclusion.
Did The Tic Tac Try To Jam The Radar?
Fravor:
“As we hit it with the radar, it started to jam. Went to the jam extrapolate and the aspect vector started spinning around because it didn’t want to be locked up. And Chad saw that, you know, that’s what he had seen when he did it. And then, obviously the video. But all the radar tapes from the Princeton…there’s a bunch of stuff that’s missing that they can’t find.”
The Chad referenced is Chad Underwood, who was the one who piloted the jet that acquired the Tic Tac FLIR video. The one controlling the radar (I assume it was his WSO/back-seater) spoke about tracking the Tic Tac in this executive report:
“LT. (name redacted) was controlling the radar and FLIR and attempted multiple times to transition the radar to Single Target Track (STT) mode on the object. The radar could not take a lock…When asked, LT. stated that there were no jamming cues. ‘It just appeared as if the radar couldn’t hack it.’ The radar couldn’t receive enough information to create a single target track file.”
So did the object Underwood captured on FLIR jam the radar? Depends on who you ask.
~~~~~
What Happened To The Radar Tapes And First Generation FLIR Tape?
Fravor discussed the missing items:
“all the radar tapes from the Princeton…there’s a bunch of stuff that’s missing that they can’t find.”
Plus:
“I was talking to someone that has access to this stuff – the log book, someone has taken that page.”
And, regarding the FLIR tapes:
“We came back from cruise, they were in the ready room safe. And then somehow, they disappeared
With the missing copies of the FLIR tape, Fravor leans towards someone inadvertently taping over them by mistake. And with the missing page from the log book, he thinks someone may have just wanted it as a souvenir. He seems hesitant to consider the possibility that someone or a group of someones did their best to try to hide all traces of this incident. But as we’ve seen from my last two blog posts, (here and here) other servicemen who were on Nimitz and Princeton that day had a different view of things.
~~~~~
Is That a UFO Or A Nuclear Missile Heading For Us?
Aiello mentioned the SPY-1B radar:
“I mean they can track, incoming ballistic missiles and target them with other missiles. Which is a miracle in its own right.”
In the executive report, Senior Chief (redacted) said that the AAV (Anomalous Aerial Vehicle) or UFO:
“exhibited Ballistic Missile Characteristics in reference to its appearance, velocity and indications on the radar. Since the radar was in the mode to handle Air Intercept of conventional aircraft, it never obtained an accurate track of the AAVs and was quickly “dropped” by the radar, meaning it was eliminated by the computer to reduce the amount of clutter on the radar, as any other false target is handled. If the radar were set up in a mode for Ballistic Missile tracking, they likely would have had the capability to track the AAV. They were detected three separate times during the week, operating off the western coast of the United States and Mexico.”
So, it makes one wonder if there have been any incidents in the past where UFOs showed up on radar and the operator mistook them for Ballistic Missiles? That’s a massive disaster waiting to happen and I think that qualifies as a national security threat. It’s amazing we’ve haven’t had any accidents or close calls. Or, maybe we have and it’s still classified?
~~~~~
UFOs or Oil Platform Flames?
Fravor:
“the top video of the year for the 2004 year which came out in January of 2005, for Comcast videos, was the Mexican Air Force tracking like six of these things with a FLIR. In the same area. So, it wasn’t just us.”
In my mind and in the minds of most people, that video has been explained and has a prosaic explanation. Fravor probably doesn’t keep up on the latest UFO news so I can’t fault him for that.
~~~~~
The Gimbal, Pilot Safety and National Security
DF: “No one ever gave us this…no one ever told us…there was no brief. As you know, there was no CVIC brief, ‘Hey, we’ve seen these objects out there.’ Kind of that you had on the other video that came out that was the Gimbal video where it rolls? That had been on the East Coast. There’s actually NOTAMs (Notice To Airmen ~Joe) out there that these objects were out there and…just to know they’re out there. Because one of the airplanes in a squadron almost hit one.”
VA: “On the East Coast?”
DF: “Yeah, yeah. It went about like a hundred feet down the side. They were in section and it went down the side and they just came back and said it looks like a ball with cube inside of it. Almost like a square that has an aura around it. So, at what point do you go, ‘Hey maybe we outta, check this out.’
Christopher Mellon appeared on Fox News Channel with Tucker Carlson in March of 2018. Was he referencing the Gimbal incident?
“After my Op Ed appeared with video, I got a call from an individual retired from the defense department, and who had worked on these issues. And I asked him…I said, ‘Do you have any context for that video? Do you have any details?’ He told me that was one of two videos that came into the Pentagon from the commander of a carrier battle group. And these are his words. He described it as, ‘a plea for help.'”
The video that appeared in Mellon’s Op Ed in the Washington Post is of the Go Fast UFO. That video has been connected to the Gimbal video which took place off the East Coast of Florida in 2015. So, the “plea for help” seems to be related to those two videos/incidents. And now that we know one of the jets almost hit a UFO, it makes sense that the commander was seeking assistance for a very dangerous situation. Once again, how is this not a national security issue? Or at the very least, a safety issue for our servicemen and servicewomen?
I think the Gimbal and Go Fast videos and surrounding incidents/details that are connected to those sightings will turn out to be some of the most important events in modern Ufology. I base that opinion on what Fravor said and what Elizondo told George Knapp on July 15th, 2017, on Coast to Coast AM:
“I think, when you hear the pilots talking, you’re talking about an object that is at 25,000 feet and it is orientating itself at a 90° angle and 120 knot headwinds. Now, aircraft fly…they are a function of their design. An airplane flies in the atmosphere. It has a nose. It has a tail. It has an engine. And it has a definitive shape because it has to fly in the atmosphere. It has to have a leading edge. It has to have ailerons and all the things you would normally characterize and associate with an aircraft. In this particular case, you have something that has no exhaust…something that has no obvious wing surfaces. And something that was orientating itself at a 90° angle without falling out of the sky! It doesn’t lose altitude! And in fact, it’s still doing it moving in a forwarded direction. Now, what makes it even more interesting is when you hear the audio. The individual says there’s an entire fleet of them. I cannot go into detail why that’s important. I hope at some point, the details of that will come out but it will not come out from me. It isn’t just one. And if you know the back story behind that incident – you’re just looking at a very short video maybe 30, 35 seconds worth – but there’s an entire story, weeks & weeks & weeks worth that go behind that video. And that is what’s so compelling. And if those details should come out, I think that’s gonna be the ‘A Ha’ moment, the epiphany, so 2 speak, where people are going to look and say, ‘Holy smokes! That really IS an important video! That’s not just some blurry thing on the screen.’”
Fravor said he was told that one of the objects related to the Gimbal looked, “like a ball with a cube inside of it. Almost like a square that has an aura around it.” That’s the first time I’ve heard of that type of UFO. Earlier this year a source mentioned a new type of UFO related to the Gimbal and I’m assuming this is it.
And finally…
Did it resemble this? And is resistance futile?
Speigel: Scientists “Will Be Able To Conclude That Some Of These Fragments Are Not From Earth”
13 JAN , 2019
“I was holding this stuff in my hands in special containers. And that was just…I kept saying to my co-producer, James…I kept saying, ‘Please, pinch me. I can’t believe we’re witnessing this. This is just amazing.'”
~~~~~
Over the years, we’ve all heard about alleged pieces/fragments of UFOs being studied by Jacques Vallee, Garry Nolan, Peter Sturrock, APRO and others, including “To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science,” with their recently created ADAM Research Project. Then we have Robert Bigelow, owner of Bigelow Aerospace. As reported by KLAS investigative reporter, George Knapp, Bigelow, created Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) when he was awarded the DIA contract and $10 million to investigate alleged, paranormal activity at Skinwalker Ranch. In The New York Times article that exposed the Pentagon’s UFO program formerly headed by Luis Elizondo, it was reported that under the direction of Bigelow, BAASS, “modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials that Mr. Elizondo and program contractors said had been recovered from unidentified aerial phenomena.” Elizondo later explained that it was metamaterials and not metal alloys that were being studied. Still promising.
And yet, after all this smoke, we have yet to have any definitive fire and a proclamation or confirmation that just one piece of metal was manufactured elsewhere. Meaning, not on this planet. That may be about to change. On a recent podcast of “Open Minds News Radio” hosted by Alejandro Rojas, former Huffington Post journalist, Lee Speigel, shared some very intriguing and exciting information on the anomalous materials front. For the past year and a half, Speigel has been a co-producer on the latest UFO documentary by filmmaker, James Fox. If this pans out, it could be the biggest story of 2019. That depends on what else 2019 brings us. Enjoy the transcript.
The conversation picks up with the guys discussing what they think were the biggest UFO stories of 2018 and Spiegel giving details about the upcoming Fox documentary.

Lee Speigel: “We have gathered some incredible, interview footage from people that will take the breath away, we hope, of the audience when they finally get a chance to see this. We’ve got a few more segments that still need to be produced. And we’re looking at, literally, an early spring readiness for the public. And I know there are a lot of stuff that’s coming up on TV about UFOs that are about to hit as well. So the timing is pretty good for us and the project.
“The number one story, may be, for me…what’s still floating around is the idea that there’s a lot of competition out there now among UFO researchers and scientists over the analysis of alleged fragments or pieces from UFOs. This is a very big story. And even I, recently, had a unique opportunity to see and to hold some reportedly real UFO material that’s being analyzed now by scientists that aren’t yet ready to go public with their amazing findings. But they will. And I can say…I can say that with total certainty because I was there, in their laboratory. And on that particular note, I’ll kind of leave it at, more to come. But it’s going to be amazing when they do release their information and their findings. And they’re going to release it to everybody. They’re not gonna hold back. They’re not gonna ask for money. They’re gonna release it to science and say, ‘Here’s what we’ve come up with. We can conclude very definitely that some of these fragments were not naturally formed and that they were manufactured by someone. And we sure would like to know who did the manufacturing and for what purpose.’ So that’s gonna be amazing when that finally happens.”
Alejandro Rojas: “Now, is this analysis related at all or being looked at by’ To The Stars Academy’? So, Tom DeLonge’s group and the group that says they’re doing all this analysis.”
LS: “No. These are separate individuals who have nothing to do with Tom DeLonge or the ‘To The Stars.’ And basically, I am a witness to the fact that they can – see, without giving it away too much – they will be able to conclude that some of these fragments are not from Earth. Because…”
Martin Willis: “This has nothing to do with Bigelow?”
LS: “Uhh, no. Nothing to do (laughs). No, not even with Robert Bigelow.”
AR: “That’s extraordinary to hear that…first of all, you know, ‘To The Stars’ is doing this work and potentially might have something. And now you have another lead on another source.”
LS: “I’ve always, historically for myself, I’ve always been dubious about claims that people have fragments or pieces of UFOs that either had crashed or exploded. But in fact, these kinds of things did happen! One famous case that comes to mind is…I believe it was 1957 over Ubatuba, Brazil. A seaside community. Something came streaking out of the sky and it exploded and it showered the water, the community, the land. I mean, pieces of it were all over the place! So, before even authorities could get there, people were snatching stuff up. You know, so it’s not impossible that pieces are legitimately from something that’s unexplainable. And this is just one case that comes to mind. And I held and I looked at pieces from this Ubatuba case.
“But that’s not even the bigger part of the story. Okay, fine. You’ve got fragments of something that you don’t know what the something was. How do you analyze it so that science really doesn’t know what to make of this? Well, you have to come up with new technologies that can analyze this stuff. And that’s exactly what these scientists, that I am now aware of, have done. They have come up with brand new technology. I’ve been there. I’ve seen it. I have photographed it. It’s incredible what they can do now. It took my breath away.”
MW: “So Lee can you give us any more details on this? This didn’t actually come from the Brazil crash, did it? Can you tell us where it came from?”
LS: “Oh…some of the pieces…I mean…I…What they brought on this particular day to the laboratory, uh, was a huge collection of pieces that supposedly came from UFOs, from around the world, going back to the 1940s. A lot of stuff. I was holding this stuff in my hands in special containers. And that was just…I kept saying to my co-producer, James…I kept saying, ‘Please, pinch me. I can’t believe we’re witnessing this. This is just amazing.’ And these people who were doing this research are being very private now and we’re not letting the information out at this point as to who they are. Because at any point, they could just decide to say, ‘No, we’re done. We’re not going any further with this because we don’t trust anybody.’ So, I’m okay with that. And I don’t mean to tease you or to tease the audience. But at this point, the tease is all that I can offer because it will come out. And nothing will be hidden because they want this information to come out. And they wanna share it with science. And they wanna give it to everybody who is a believer or total skeptic or debunker. They want people to say, ‘Here, take this information that we’ve just created. Now, come up with your own analysis based on it and let us know what you’re getting, you know?'”
AR: “Is there going to be more information about this material in the documentary?”
LS: “Oh yes. We’ve actually already filmed that segment. Yes.”
AR: “So that’s some big news right there. That’s the biggest news of 2019 when it comes to UFOs now.”
LS: “Well I’m hoping that it will be because I think that…anything to do with fragments. You know, this harkens back to the story of Bob Lazar, who claims that he actually worked on and went inside, a flying saucer at Area 51. This is kind of on that level, I think, because now we’re talking about fragments that can be analyzed to prove they weren’t manufactured here! That’s a big story, I think.”
AR: “That is a big story. That’s a really big deal.”
LS: “And I’m not saying to you or to the audience or anybody else…any scientists out there listening in…I’m not saying, ‘Take my word for it.’ Don’t believe anything I say. I’m just saying, be patient. Be patient because I believe eventually – if it wasn’t these people that I’ve witnessed this from – if it wasn’t them, it would be someone else, who I believe will eventually come out with this kind of proof.
“The experience that I had going to this place – and I won’t even say where it was – it was quite obvious that there’s a lot of money behind this research. Totally funded. Just a look at the equipment that they’re using to do the analysis is just mind blowing.”

Joe’s Comments
As Jacques Vallee explained in this lecture, “there is a long history of things disappearing in this field.” He describes Professor Peter Sturrock placing several samples from different cases into a bank vault for safe-keeping only to have them all disappear. So, while I’m extremely excited to see what 2019 brings, I’ll hold back on celebrating until the scientists involved go public, present their findings and we have replication from other labs. Should only be a few months until the documentary comes out and we learn more.
As to which scientists are part of this effort Speigel is talking about? My money is on Vallee and Garry Nolan.

MORE UFO PROGRAMS
Recently on “Phenomenon Radio” we heard Jeremy Corbell say:
“I will tell you this now and I will be proven right later, but I’ll put it on the record now, that there are multiple UFO programs going at this time that are not being named right now, and there are four in particular that will probably come out.”
Now, thanks to the always valuable research of Giuliano Marinkovic we have this quote from the well respected Dr. Bernard Haisch:
“The following is conjecture.
Sources tell me that this is merely the tip of the iceberg. A group of four related but separate unacknowledged SCI programs tracing back to a 1947 Truman memorandum still exist and were housed as of the 1990s in major aerospace companies such as for example Lockheed, TRW, Raytheon, Aerospace Corp. etc. These would be expensive programs since the cost of secrecy can be several times higher than the research. The AATIB program has no relation to these four much better funded deep black ones. Indeed, the black programs collectively have budgets in the $10B range and up. Topics apparently include both reverse engineering and extraterrestrial biology. The AATIP did find the UFO crash retrieval program via official channels, but was denied access to it because the AATIP itself is not a SAP. Sen. Harry Reid petitioned the DoD to confer SAP status to the AATIP, but the DoD denied his request.”
Jeremy Corbell replied to Guiliano‘s social media post:
“Gold brother. Gold.”
George Knapp also replied to Guiliano on social media:
“Dr. Haisch is well respected and well connected. His “speculation” is not idle chit chat.”
Even as a rumor, this is legitimate information that should be taken seriously. The information drop we have heard so much about in 2019 starts now. It’s history in the making.
Update #1:
An especially telling Chris Mellon (of TTSA) quote comes to mind that seems to fit in with this story. Its from a Leslie Kain article, circa 2016:
Kean: Some inside sources have proposed that retrieved hardware from a UFO may exist within a private aerospace company which has become independent from the DoD. In this way, it would be exempt from government oversight and known only to a few people. Do you think this is possible?
Mellon: I find it hard to imagine something as explosive as recovered alien technology remaining under wraps for decades. So while I have no reason to believe there is any recovered alien technology, I will say this: If it were me, and I were trying to bury it deep, I’d take it outside government oversight entirely and place it in a compartment as a new entity within an existing defense company and manage it as what we call an “IRAD” or “Independent Research and Development Activity.”
Update #2:
From Grant Cameron:
“The young guns of ufology have struck again with more important news. I think I will be able to confirm some of this down the road.
Also keep in mind that Bender at Politico made the multiple program claim hours after his December 16, 2017 article telling NPR, “We were told that there are other programs that other agencies – perhaps, the CIA, perhaps, the individual military branches, the Air Force, the Navy – could likely have their own.”
https://silvarecord.com/2019/01/07/ttsa-2018-investor-meeting-transcript-surfaces/
The TTSA investor meeting/conference call took place on December 12th, 2018. Since then, no recordings have surfaced and the transcript has been unavailable…until now! A link to the transcript has been found, posted on the TTSA website. It features rare comments shared by the seldom heard from, Jim Semivan, as well as Steve Justice and Tom Delonge.
Highlights include:
“In five years, I see the Company owner of a best-in-class laboratory for advanced physics research” – Tom Delonge
“In the science division, we have made some real progress collecting and recording new and military/civilian encounters of UAPs. I will tell you, these are really compelling witness statements.
We have also accomplished standup of the A.D.A.M. Research Project to analyze
and advance our understanding of the collected exotic materials. Two of the specific tests we are performing on the materials are x-ray fluorescence where we look for unusual element presence and unusual alloys or combination of metals. This is as well as isotope testing where we are looking for unusual versions of element atomic structures that indicate terrestrial or non-terrestrial origins. While the x-ray fluorescence test is relatively quick-turn, the isotope testing is really expensive and time-consuming. It requires really sophisticated equipment and test procedures.
As part of the analysis effort, we issued a materials analysis sub-contract. We have data collection and analysis both internal to To the Stars Academy and at an independent laboratory.
In our aerospace division, we have completed tail business plans for multiple projects and business scenarios. For example, we have issued a contract to
develop tail plans for the Beamed Energy Launch System that has the objective of launching cube sets into orbit at about 10% of the cost of current launch methods.
We are also continuing our discussions with multiple offices in the Department of Defense regarding collaboration on all of our programs. We recognize this is a relatively slow process, but we are optimistic given the increase in requests for briefings that we have seen lately.” – Steve Justice
“As we collect results, we have to consider several factors. Do we have the right to release information? Some of our agreements constrain our ability to release data. Do we have enough context to make disclosure informative and not misleading? Has the information been fully vetted to reduce unintended consequences of release? We cannot afford to release incomplete information because that can be misleading. Will releasing the information harm an actual or potential beneficial relationship? We are working with several groups right now, and we have to be sensitive to their needs and constraints. It is not just ours. Unfortunately, because of these constraints and uncertainties, we cannot commit to a release schedule. Know that we want to release products that are substantiated by fact and not by speculation. We are committed to transparency, but we have to balance our goals with context of both the short and long-term interest of the Company.” – Steve Justice

(Applause)
I-Team: Mystery metal studied in Las Vegas
https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/i-team-mystery-metal-studied-in-las-vegas/983586055
LAS VEGAS - When it comes to UFO stories, all roads lead to Las Vegas, right?
Recent revelations about a secret Pentagon study of UFOs raised many questions, including this one --do government scientists have a piece of a flying saucer? According to a New York Times story, scientists in southern Nevada had a chance to study a piece of mystery metal which had some unusual properties.
When Nevada Senator Harry Reid and a few colleagues quietly found the funding back in 2007 for a serious Pentagon study of unknown aerial intruders, otherwise known as UFOs, one goal was to move the subject beyond the long shadow of the so-called Roswell crash, the controversial tale about a mysterious object that crashed in New Mexico in 1947.
"If you're here to find out where the little men from New Mexico at the end of World War II, are stored in some vault some place, you want to spend time talking about flying saucers that took people some place, I'm not into that," former Sen. Harry Reid said.
When the New York Times broke the story in December, and an organization called To The Stars released Pentagon videos of encounters with unknown craft, a separate line of inquiry was also unleashed. Was there, as the Times reported, a piece of metal or material that could not be identified by scientists?
For three years, a private organization named BAASS (Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies), headquartered at Bigelow Aerospace in North Las Vegas, collected and analyzed UFO files and data on behalf of the defense intelligence agency, DIA.
Company founder Robert Bigelow built special secure facilities inside his plant to house the program, its files, and according to news reports, a piece of unknown material, reportedly a compound with special properties. Senator Reid, for one, said he is unaware of any such exotic materials.
"I don't know anything about exotic materials but (there's been) a lot of talk about it."
The subject isn't new in UFO circles. The properties of supposedly recovered mystery metals have been debated online for years. Rock star turned UFO investigator Tom DeLonge speculated last year about possible anti-gravity effects of one alloy. Nick Pope, a former official with the British Ministry of Defense study of UFOs said he believes such material does exist. But what about the point man for the Pentagon's UFO program?
"So, now we can theoretically warp space time in a way that we can go from A to B a little faster," said Luis Elizondo.
I-Team Reporter George Knapp: "Do we need special materials?"
Luis Elizondo: "Well, special materials are important no matter what you do. On a car, you might want titanium. Everything requires special materials."
Elizondo is the person most directly responsible for the public release of the now ubiquitous videos, the so called gimbal UFO and the Tic Tac encounter. He thinks these craft are able to bend space and time with a technology beyond anything known on earth. But, is the technology dependent on mystery metal, and did the U.S. have a piece of it at the Bigelow plant?
"Sadly, I can't discuss that. You would have to ask the U.S. government. But I've said before, when you are collecting special data, there are always tell-tale signs on how something works by its signature," Elizonda said.
Some who read the story speculated that the material contains an unknown element. Not true, say those who worked on the program, but multiple sources have confirmed to us that there was a weird piece of something at the Bigelow plant.
Physicist Dr. Hal Puthoff was one of the chief scientists for the BAASS study. He confirmed last month that he had a look at "unusual material" that was "very complex." Puthoff implied that it was engineered by unknown means, layered, he says, in ways that produced unusual characteristics. But that's as far as he would go.
Pentagon UFO Study Jan. 28, 2018, Coast to Coast hosted by George Knapp
Dr. Hal Puthoff said:
“Detailed proof that crashes had happened would be so highly classified piece of data. There has been one leaked document — how it got leaked, I’ll never know — which is out there, that talks about some crashes, that we were able to verify … it was a real document. My opinion is there are probably at least materials. Now, it wouldn’t necessarily have to be crash of an entire craft, but it could be a piece blown off, whatever, by a lightning strike or a missile or whatever. So I am not surprised to find out that there’s discussion of material being available. We’ve had an opportunity to look at some unusual material, and I think that is a big area that will become more significant as time goes on. And the interesting thing about it was that I couldn’t figure out a very complex material. When you talk to people that are doing this kind of research … [we know about] all the elements on the periodic table, so you are not finding some new element that you didn’t realize is on the periodic table. No, it’s more like putting together layers of various kinds of materials that you wouldn’t expect to be able to be layered, and the result at the end of the day is that it has certain unusual characteristics that you wouldn’t have predicted in advance, so that is the kind of thing that, to a physicist, is the most interesting.”
Elizondo gave one other tantalizing clue.
"You may call it material or meta-material but if something is left behind or recovered or retrieved, you'd want to study it just like at a crime scene," he said.
No one would say on the record how the piece of material was obtained, or where it was taken once the Las Vegas study ended back in 2012.
I-Team: More details on government UFO findings could be forthcoming
https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/i-team/i-team-more-details-on-government-ufo-findings-could-be-forthcoming/1660472746
LAS VEGAS - Sunday marks one year since the New York Times broke open a provocative secret when it reported about the existence of a long-term Pentagon study of UFOs - Unidentified Flying Objects.
In the 12 months since then, the I-Team has unveiled new details about the study, which was based in Las Vegas. So, what comes next? And will 2019 bring the public closer to understanding what the government already knows?
The I-Team's George Knapp sat down for an exclusive interview with an intelligence officer who chased flying saucers for the Pentagon.
"When you say, something big is coming, what does that mean?" Asks Lue Elizondo with To The Stars Academy.
As a career intelligence officer, Elizondo learned to parse his words carefully. He spent nearly a decade managing a secret Pentagon study of encounters between U.S. military units and UAP's, Unknown Aerial Phenomena, aka UFOs, including multiple incidents in 2015 off the coast of Florida with an object dubbed the Gimbal.
Fourteen months after leaving the Pentagon, during a visit to Las Vegas, Elizondo dropped strong hints that, behind the scenes, a new broader effort to accumulate classified UFO reports, testimony, and evidence is underway, both inside the government and outside.
"I think we have a much better understanding in the depth and scope that the Department of Defense has played in recent times, not historical 40s and 50s. I'm talking very recent regarding the UFO phenomenon. I think people will be surprised just how frequent and the volume in which these things are apparently recorded and observed by active duty military people on missions, around the world, by the way," Elizondo said.
Elizondo left the military and went to work for rock star Tom DeLonge whose organization To The Stars Academy was instrumental in convincing the New York Times to publish a blockbuster front page story about the Pentagon study. The Times' story set off a tsunami of other mainstream media coverage of UFOs.
Media and public interest, combined with statements from the UFO study's original sponsor, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, have reportedly resulted in closed door briefings and testimony for senior staff and members of Congress during 2018. Elizondo hints that official interest in UFOs has been aroused.
"For some people, this UAP issue, they're really learning about it for the first time, despite what they may have seen on popular TV or maybe in some movie, this is really the first time they're being told. Hey Jack or Jane, this is a serious topic. This is something your Department of Defense has been tracking."
At the same time, To The Stars Academy has launched its own public outreach efforts, including meetings with foreign military officials, and multiple efforts are underway to conduct scientific analysis of baffling samples of metamaterials acquired from so-called crash sites.
Elizondo says it's too early to reveal what that analysis has uncovered, but says the initial work is promising. Among the potential developments in 2019, could the Pentagon launch a new, publicly acknowledged UFO study effort?
Reporter George Knapp: "Something like AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program), when a larger, not only private TTSA, but also on the inside?"
Elizondo: "Wouldn't that be a great accomplishment George?"
Elizondo hints that some pretty big UFO news will be breaking in 2019.

Material of Interest: Magnesium-Zinc-Bismuth
https://dpo.tothestarsacademy.com/blog/material-of-interest-magnesium-zinc-bismuth
September 27, 2018
Over the last three months, To The Stars Academy has collected seven pieces of material, from multiple sources, to study for The ADAM Research Project. Each sample represents different elements of potential Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and how they operate.
According to the accompanying provenance documentation, there are two classes of samples: material that was released as the UAP was hovering and material that makes up parts of the structure or systems. Because none of this documentation can be independently verified, TTS Academy’s ADAM testing approach is structured to look for other indicators of unique origin such as:
Unusual chemical combinations or alloys
Isotope ratios that indicate the material was created outside of our solar system
Unusual structural composition
One artifact on loan to TTSA for analysis is a Magnesium-Zinc-Bismuth (MgZn/Bi) sample, which has been the source of discussion and speculation for years. The supplied documentation states that it is from a UAP crash recovery. While this source cannot be verified, this is a particularly interesting sample for several reasons:
The material is clearly engineered with distinct layers of MgZn and Bi at structured thicknesses only microns thick
There is no precedent for this structured combination of materials
It is unclear what fabrication processes allow this combination of materials to form an integrated structural component
Theoretical analysis shows that the material acts as a waveguide for terahertz (THz) frequencies
Those wavelengths normally would not propagate through this geometry
One side of the sample appears to be tooled, having a defined contour
There has been an extensive amount of testing on the material, the true purpose or function of the material remains unknown
The TTSA team has already started testing several material samples and will be reporting results as we complete the analyses.

Everyone is welcome to post their stories, pictures, news articles and anything else related to UFOs and Extraterrestrials
PLEASE NO ALL CAPS IN THE HEADLINES OF YOUR POSTS!!
This is not a board for Pro and Con...please no arguing... for UFO sceptics or deniers. We just post what we find in the news or somewhere on-line and if it seems intruiging and informing enough we post it. There are plenty of places that one can find if you seek to ridicule or try to make a case for it's just us and God, and no one else in this vast universe...this is not one of them.
