MAY 9, 2013 (LUC – TSX, LUC – BSE, LUC – NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp. (“Lucara” or the “Company”) today reports its first quarter 2013 results. William Lamb, President and Chief Executive Officer commented "Lucara had solid operational performance and sales for the first quarter continuing the growth trend from 2012. Also continuing is the recovery of high quality diamonds from the Karowe Mine. An exceptional 239 carat stone was recently recovered as well as several excellent quality stones greater than 50 carats. This along with the multiple recoveries of extremely rare and valuable blue diamonds highlights the importance of this new mine. We are planning to conduct our first special large stone tender in May in addition to our normal tender (twice quarterly) of diamonds which is in excess of 50,000 carats."

LUCARA RECOVERS 239 CARAT DIAMOND
March 18, 2013 (LUC–TSX, LUC–BSE, LUC–NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp. is very pleased to announce the recovery of a 239.2 carat diamond from its Karowe Mine in Botswana. In addition to the recovery of this exceptional gem, two more large stones weighing 124.0 carats and 71.1 carats have also been recovered.
The diamonds were recovered from the central kimberlite domain which has only recently become ore feed to the plant as the pit expands towards the south.
The diamonds will be sent to Antwerp to be studied prior to being sold later in the year.
William Lamb, President and CEO commented, "The recovery of these large stones is hugely significant to both Lucara and Botswana. To the best of my knowledge, the 239 carat stone is one of the largest diamonds ever to have been recovered from the highly prolific Orapa kimberlite field in over 40 years of production. The recovery of a diamond of this size, the confirmed population of blue diamonds, and the strong operational performance in our first few quarters of operation demonstrate the quality of the assets as well as the competence of the operations team."

LUCARA’S 2012 KAROWE DIAMOND SALES TOTAL $54 MILLION
December 17, 2012 (LUC–TSX, LUC–BSE, LUC–NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp is pleased to report results of its final diamond sale for 2012. The sale of Karowe diamonds was completed on December 17, 2012. The supernatural... In spite of living in the premier county in MN for bigfoot sightings I never saw one. I have found some very big turds at the compound which I could not identify.
I also occasionally detect an awful stink which is well recognized as a sign that bigfoots are nearby. Most bigfoot witnesses later report a sudden bad odor.

Gee Ely gold did real well on a death star day! ELYGF.

Stupid gem, I keep my large diamonds in the freezer and drain them in a colander after mixing my martini's. Once I spilled on my tuxedo! GaGa laughed so I spilled the rest on her dress.

LUCARA RECOVERS RARE BLUE DIAMOND
November 5, 2012 (LUC–TSX, LUC–BSE, LUC–NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp. is pleased to announce the recovery of a 9.46 carat rare Type II blue diamond from its wholly owned Karowe Mine in Botswana. The diamond, the first of its kind to be identified at Karowe, will be sold on tender at the upcoming sale of Karowe diamonds which will take place on November 26, 2012. At this sale, more than 57,000 carats of diamonds will be sold on tender, the fourth sale of Karowe diamonds this year.
Mr. William Lamb, Lucara’s President and CEO noted: “The recovery of such a rare stone is of great importance to the Karowe asset. We had previously identified a population of Type II diamonds at Karowe and the recovery of this rare blue diamond confirms the quality distribution of the diamonds being mined at Karowe.”
Pictures of the blue diamond recovered at Karowe are attached and can also be viewed on the Company’s website www.lucaradiamond.com

I forget whether I have posted this cooking tip here.
If you like the big puffy onion rings just use any pancake or waffle mix and deep fry. You can spice the onion wash as much as you want. Just make it sticky enough to hold on the rings. Lots of cooks recommend an egg wash and flour dusting first. I don't do that and the crust falls off a lot.
I live alone and just use a Fry Daddy but a larger fryer could work better. Supposedly keeping the breaded rings overnight in the fridge on wax paper solidifies the batter.

Answer to the age old question.....
Mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a couple nice cold beers. The day was really quite beautiful, and the brew facilitated some deep thinking on various topics.
Finally I thought about an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the Nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts.
Well, after another beer, and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby and here is the reason for my conclusion.
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "it might be nice to have another child."
On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case.
Gee! Lucara shows that b4 is wise!
MOTHAE DIAMOND SALE RESULTS AND PROJECT UPDATE
September 17, 2012 (LUC–TSX, LUC–BSE, LUC–NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp. is pleased to report results of the Mothae Diamond sale completed on September 14, 2012. A total of 4,657 carats of diamonds were sold for gross proceeds of $1.51 million, yielding an average price per carat of $324. The diamond sale consisted of 32 sales parcels of which 26 were sold on a sealed tender at the offices of Bonas-Couzyn in Antwerp. The highest value stone sold was a 9.74 carat Type IIA diamond which achieved a price of $272,720 or $28,000 per carat. Notwithstanding the high quality Type IIA diamond recovered, the diamonds sold today were mined from a higher grade area of the kimberlite which is generally known to producer lower quality, smaller diamonds.
This sale completes the Trial Mining program on the Mothae project and with the consent of the Government of Lesotho, the processing facility will be placed on care and maintenance as the Company works towards completing a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) of the Mothae project. The PEA is well advanced and it, together with a NI43-101 compliant Independent Technical Report, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2013. Work on the PEA to date includes:
- completion of a 5,630 meter delineation drill program to extend the geologic and resource model to a depth of 300 meters,
- completion of an Environmental Impact Assessment report and corresponding Environmental Management Plan,
- ore dressing studies, together with systematic data collection from processing hard (unweathered) kimberlite to facilitate process plant design and diamond recovery grade modelling,
- site layout and infrastructure review, including water and power options.
Mr. William Lamb, Lucara’s President and CEO noted, “The completion of the trial mining program at Mothae marks a significant milestone in the project’s development. We have now sold in excess of 20,000 carats of Mothae diamonds, the results of which will form a solid foundation for revenue modeling in our economic evaluation of the project. This information, together with a better constrained geologic and grade model and the processing of unweathered kimberlite which makes up the bulk of the Mothae deposit, provide all of the necessary inputs for a thorough economic assessment.”
Mothae Diamonds holds a mining license for the Mothae kimberlite in Lesotho. Mothae Diamonds is jointly held by Lucara (75%) and the Government of Lesotho (25%). One half of the interest held by the Government of Lesotho is free carried, and one half is paid through the Government of Lesotho’s share of project dividends.

KAROWE PROGRESS UPDATE
May 7, 2012 (LUC – TSX, LUC – BSE, LUC – NASDAQ OMX First North) … Lucara Diamond Corp. (“Lucara” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide a progress report on its 100% owned Karowe Mine in Botswana.
Commissioning activities at the Karowe mine were completed during April 2012 and the process facilities have been handed-over to operations. Ramp-up to full production is in progress with a target of 50% of the design throughput during May and 75% in June. At the end of the second quarter the operations should be operating, as scheduled, at the full design capacity of 350 tonnes per hour.
Greater than 10,000 carats of diamonds were recovered from 28,000 tonnes of ore processed during April. As previously reported the grade in the upper benches of the North Lobe exceeds 32cpht. The ore mined during April had a resource grade of 34cpht, and the recovered diamonds have confirmed this. The mine production plan for the remainder of 2012 includes ore from the North and Centre Lobes and will deliver an average ore grade of approximately 20cpht.
On May 3, 2012, the Company held an official Karowe diamond launch in Gaborone and was pleased to host at the event the Hon. Dr. P. H. K Kedikelwe, Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water resources, key government officials, Botswana industry leaders and diamondtaires from Botswana who will participate in the sale of Karowe diamonds. The event was well attended which is a good indication of the interest in a new sustainable source of rough diamond from Botswana, the world leader in diamond production. Viewing for the first sale of Karowe diamonds will be held in Gaborone during the first week of June.
An on-line auction will then take place on June 11, 2012. It is expected that up to 40,000 carats will be available at this sale.
William Lamb, President and CEO, commented, “Excellent progress continues to be made at Karowe. The attendance at the diamond launch in Gaborone was evidence of a strong diamond market and a keen interest in the quality goods which Karowe will be producing. Our focus will remain on the ramp-up activities which will culminate in sustainable operations at design capacity by the end of the quarter and the first cashflow from Karowe. ”
Updated pictures from the Karowe mine site and of the diamonds which will be presented for sale can be found on the company’s website: www.lucaradiamond.com
Sincere apologies Ratty,
My compound was invaded by voles and chipmunks over the winter.
I had left my deer corn on the porch when I went to the city for my health problem. Nature took advantage.
Apparently I will have many chances to improve my marksmanship.
I took one with a pistol and one with a .22
Hitting a yard munk is like dropping a deer at 1000 yards! I am sending the proof, Sir.

Took this off the big board.
Tough times but not as bad as it looks. Really a great time for newbies. Just ask the Major.

Even weirder, I bought a couple raffle tickets for a church fundraising and one of the tickets for tonights drawing is also #40.
Other than being a fine sized bottle of beer I don't know why 40 would appear 3 times.

And if it's bad
Don't let it get you down, you can take it
And if it hurts
Don't let them see you cry, you can make it
Hold SGC up, hold your head up
Hold your head up, hold SGCP high
Hold SGC up, hold SGC up
Hold your head up, hold SGCP high

Hold your head up, hold SGCP high

It was me!
Destroyers carry two small craft the Captain’s gig and a motor whaleboat. Still a large craft that holds a lot of people but open air.
My skill and ambition got me promoted to pilot of our motor whaleboat. I even drove the Captains gig a couple of times but Navy protocol needs an officer there if the Captain is present.
Somewhere in the Caribbean Islands, maybe Jamaica, we made port in one of the places without docks and had to anchor off-shore and ride a ferry called the Liberty boat in.
Well, after a night of carousing my shipmates and I took the Liberty boat back to our ship (a half hour ride)
I had spent time in the cabin on the way in and understood the boat controls.
I decided to commandeer the vessel! I pushed Captain aside and threatened him with my fists!
There was little he could do really since I outweighed him by 100 pounds and he calmed down after seeing I really could run his boat.
As we approached my ship I realized I had committed piracy and probably had made a bad decision. Very fun though!
I returned command to the vessel’s owner and made such amends as I could.
One of my shipmates had seen me driving the boat and chose to pirate it too!
He drove the ferry right into the gangway and caused a lot of damage. To both boats.
In the end Tim got the blame for everything.
Heard he got a big chicken dinner and died in a timber accident.
He was a good man though.
Arrested in Mexico…
Among my many youthful indiscretions was a trip to Tijuana Mexico.
While stationed in San Diego there were Greyhound buses sitting on the base with regular trips that were very cheap. I went many times. This time was different.
Tijuana was not the dangerous place back then and American sailors and Marines were very welcome. The prices were super cheap and welcoming senoritas rounded out the package. I bought my first quality guitar there for $5 and a cool leather jacket which I wore for years.
I was earning about $86 a month then so entertainment was sketchy.
A shipmate and I were strolling around the town and buying bottles of beer at various liquor stores. That was all normal and the liquor stores put the beer in small brown bags. I got to eat dog meat tacos that day and they were wonderful at 5 cents each though of course I feel guilty now. Every trip was like going to a carnival with all the vendors out hawking and street musicians.
Any way there were safety rules for Americans and one was not to accept open bottles of liquid. I knew that and stupidly accepted an open beer at one of the stores.
It had been filled with battery acid or Drano. I don’t what but it scalded my mouth and tongue instantly. Might have killed me had I swallowed it. Luckily I spit it out immediately but had blisters in my mouth for several days.
Well, frankly, I caused a ruckus. I went back in the tiny store, threatened the owner who had spoken nice English before but was then no hable’ . He refused to replace the beer with a sealed bottle and a minor scuffle ensued as I pushed him aside and seized a sealed bottle from his fridge.
Two Mexican police officers were passing by and the store owner called out for help.
The three had a conversation in Spanish which I did not understand. The officers pretended to not speak English and my poison bottle had mysteriously disappeared.
Mexican police were different then and did not wear duty belts but could say “you are under arrest.” They had no radios either.
My shipmate and I were instructed to follow them to jail.
Well the officers were eyeballing us for a while but we were peacefully following them and pretty soon they started talking between themselves and paying little attention to us.
I did not want to go to jail in Mexico and formed a plan! We were passing many small alleys and I decided to bolt. Without saying a word I guided my buddy into the alley with my shoulder and whispered run!
We ran down the alley, ran up a block, and made our way to the bus station. We just laid down on some back seats and pretty soon the bus took us back to the base.

Late Night Wine Induced Prediction:
Did you like that? USA... Ulcered Sphincter of Ass-erica, I mean what else can you say? Here was a country that had everything, absolutely everything. And now, 20 years later, is what? The world's biggest leper colony. Why? Godlessness. Let me say that again... Godlessness. It wasn't the war they started. It wasn't the plague they created. It was Judgement. No one escapes their past. No one escapes Judgement. You think he's not up there? You think he's not watching over this country? How else can you explain it? He tested us, but we came through. We did what we had to do. Islington. Enfield. I was there, I saw it all. Immigrants, Muslims, homosexuals, terrorists. Disease-ridden degenerates. They had to go. Strength through unity. Unity through faith. I'm a God-fearing Englishman and I'm goddamn proud of it!
Late Night Story for the Kids:
Our story begins, as these stories often do, with a young up-and-coming politician. He's a deeply religious man and a member of the conservative party. He is completely single-minded convictions and has no regard for the political process. Eventually, his party launches a special project in the name of 'national security'. At first, it is believed to be a search for biological weapons and it is pursued regardless of its cost. However, the true goal of the project is power, complete and total hegemonic domination. The project, however, ends violently... but the efforts of those involved are not in vain, for a new ability to wage war is born from the blood of one of their victims. Imagine a virus - the most terrifying virus you can, and then imagine that you and you alone have the cure. But if your ultimate goal is power, how best to use such a weapon? It is at this point in our story that along comes a spider. He is a man seemingly without a conscience; for whom the ends always justify the means and it is he who suggests that their target should not be an enemy of the country but rather the country itself. Three targets are chosen to maximize the effect of the attack: a school, a tube station, and a water-treatment plant. Several hundred die within the first few weeks. Until at last the true goal comes into view. Before the St. Mary's crisis, no one would have predicted the outcome of the elections. No one. But after the election, lo and behold, a miracle. Some believed that it was the work of God himself, but it was a pharmaceutical company controlled by certain party members made them all obscenely rich. But the true genius of the plan was the fear. A year later, several extremeists are tried, found guilty, and executed while a memorial is builterected to canonize their victims. Fear became the ultimate tool of this government. And through it our politician was ultimately appointed to the newly created position of High Chancellor. The rest, as they say, is history.
Beware of "The Cork"
Good evening, I hubbers. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, "The Cork". He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence. Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey, to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.
In case you do not know who "The Cork" is...the one in the hat!
