I forget whether I have posted this cooking tip here.

If you like the big puffy onion rings just use any pancake or waffle mix and deep fry. You can spice the onion wash as much as you want. Just make it sticky enough to hold on the rings. Lots of cooks recommend an egg wash and flour dusting first. I don't do that and the crust falls off a lot.

I live alone and just use a Fry Daddy but a larger fryer could work better. Supposedly keeping the breaded rings overnight in the fridge on wax paper solidifies the batter.
