in Middle to Southern Ontario.

Keith
caught 14 largemouth bass at the lake down the street in about two hours. lunchtime fishing at it's best.
Caught some nice Strippers at the San Jauqin Delta out of Rio Vista, Calif this weekend. Water is high and muddy on the Sacremento River but has not effective parts of the San Jauqin River yet. For fishing/boat and water entusiasts, in California, the summer hot spot is the Delta.
I caught a 21LB Stripper today at Millerton Lake, Friant,CA.
Frday the 13th was not bad luck.
I caught largemouth Bass all morning on a top water Chug Bug.
Biggest was 6 LB.
I'm going to the Delta Fri 20th for more Strippers.
Lake Don Pedro in California has been excellent for bass this year on big swim baits. 8-12lbs
Check out the 8-10 pound Bass!

Wow,a basshole!!I live for bass fishing,I'm on Cape Cod and there are 365 ponds/lakes within a 45 min. drive, will try posting some pics later.
Super foggy day on ClearLake, here in California. A hundred yards from the launch ramp we fished a tule line that produced fifteen Bass to 4 pounds. Then headed across the lake strictly by GPS and almost hit the opposite bank at fifty miles an hour! Got on a a great Crappie hole and pulled out approximately 100 slabsides to 1 1/2 pounds. Pretty nice day even though we only had fifty feet of visibility until after 2 in the afternoon.

Haven't posted here in a long time,
just got back from a month of fishing in Cabo San Lucas. I love the month of October because of the tournaments. In the Black & Blue, one boat swept the 2nd and 3rd day jackpots with two blue marlin, and walked away with $1.11 million dollars! I was updating a friends webpage (ocean lure sportfishing) while in Cabo. I'll have my site updated soon.

Here is a professional tournament fishing boat:

Enjoy
Got out on the lake for about an hour and a half this afternoon. It was cloudy, cool and just a slight breeze ... perfect October afternoon with the trees afire in their various hues of reds, oranges, yellows and browns. Would have been a great time out, even without a single fish ....
had two bites - one a smaller bass that didn't ever really take the spinnerbait, and the other a 4.5 pound large mouth that definitely put up a great fight in the cooling waters of Table Rock.
Just the perfect icing on the cake to an already great afternoon!
Hey Tin...at least you have your priorities right. Daughters gettin married are once in a lifetime things...we hope :)
Lately all my fishing has been at ClearLake, with pretty much the same results. Thirty to forty-five bass per outing. Did get one that weighed a tad over 7#'s last week. Most have been 2-4 pounds.
Have a great time with the hunting season. The bow period can sure be a great time with it's stealth and quiet. A bit different two weeks later as you dive for cover..:)
Take care, fda
Haven't been around to tell too many fish lies but the soft water fishing season is fast winding down here. Didn't get out near as much as I would like due to many reasons including 2 daughters getting married, last one this Saturday, but the time spent out was good. Many quality fish and the freezer is full enough for winter. I will lucky to get many more days on the soft water with all of the hunting Season's coming up. Bow in 2 weeks in fact.
I hope all have been doing well and fishing more then I!
Well...had a great day on the water. Fished ClearLake, Ca. Rodman Slough in particular. Gorgeous weather. Couldn't get any action with Buzz's, Blades, Cranks, etc. Caught everything on six inch worms. Landed 33 bass to 4#. Missed at least that many. All, in all, a great respite from the drudgery of everyday life.
Tight lines, fda
Damn, I was gonna delete this board mark because of lack of activity, but I saw the picture on the opening page and I just couldn't.

My knife gland is enlarged, I fear the swelling will not subside until this knife is in my possession.....Anyone feeling generous?

WHY FISHING IS BETTER THAN SEX
#20 - No matter how much whiskey you've had, you can still fish.
#19 - a limp rod is still useful while fishing.
#18 - You don't have to hide your fishing magazines.
#17 - It is perfectly acceptable to pay a professional to fish with you once in a while.
#16 - The Ten Commandments don't say anything against fishing.
#15 - If your partner takes pictures or videotapes of you
fishing, you don't have to worry about them showing up on the Internet if you become famous.
#14 - Your fishing partner doesn't get upset about people you
fished with long ago.
#13 - It's perfectly respectable to fish with a total stranger.
#12 - When you see a really good fishing person, you don't have to feel guilty about imagining the two of you fishing together.
#11 - If your regular fishing partner isn't available, he/she
won't object if you fish with someone else.
#10 - Nobody will ever tell you that you will go blind if you
fish by yourself.
#9 - When dealing with a fishing pro, you never have to wonder if they are really an undercover cop.
#8 - You don't have to go to a sleazy shop in a seedy neighborhood to buy fishing stuff.
#7 - You can have a fishing calendar on your wall at the office,
tell fishing jokes, and invite co-workers to fish with you without getting sued for harassment.
#6 - There are no fishing-transmitted diseases.
#5 - If you want to watch fishing on television, you don't have to subscribe to the Playboy channel.
#4 - Nobody expects you to fish with the same partner for the
rest of your life.
#3 - Nobody expects you to give up fishing if your partner loses
interest in it.
#2 - You don't have to be a newlywed to plan a vacation primarily to enjoy your favorite activity.
#1 - Your fishing partner will never say, "Not again? We just
fished last week!
Well, unfortunately, we didn't slay them.:) Thanks for the encouragement though. We managed 20 bass, up to only three pounds. Not earth-shattering, but compared to all the folks pre-fishing for this weekend's Pro-Am, not bad. Everyone we spoke to had only managed a couple of dinks each. Tough right now with the wind blowing like stink lately. Heck, 21 pounds won a tournament last week. For comparison sake, we have had MANY 25-30lb finishes that only got us second places! In any case, we were off the water by noon, so there was still tons of the day left for other things. Had a great time. Tonight I have great seats for the Giants game at PacBell (SBC). Have to help them right that ship before the Dodgers run away with the division.
See ya later, fda
Good luck dood. Slay them!
Well....looks like another fishing trip is in order for tomorrow. Sounds like much more fun than watching this market. See ya
Well....went fishing yesterday on Clear Lake, California. Big Bass Capital of the World. Didn't quite live up to that handle, but it did provide mostly constant tight lines.
Hit the water at 6:30AM. My buddy immediately pointed out the tons of shad and hitch in the lake. Never seen a year like this. Baitfish everywhere you look. Ok, the two forces that drive bass are hunger, and aggression. Hunger was out, so we decided to try to piss them off! After three hours of throwing Sammys, Buzzes, Blades, Cranks, and Rips, we had a total of zero Bass. Ok, time to change. We went drop-shoting. Not the vertical type used on deep impoundments, but rather almost horizontal fishing in 1-8' of water. Tules and docks. Started picking up one here, three here, two here, etc. Kept moving. The next four hours netted us 18 fish (being a guide, Richard keeps an accurate log of all fish caught). Near the end of our fishing day, we came upon a pier with 17 pilings, spaced about six feet apart. Solid wall about 15 back of the pilings. Wind blowing straight towards the back wall. We started pitching our six-inch plastic worms towards the back, next to the wall. Bingo!! The Bass hit the baits constantly before it even hit bottom. Fish out of most every cubicle. Sometimes one or two chasing the hooked fish to the surface. Worked our way down the 16 openings, then started back. We had almost made it back to the starting point when the wind stopped. Ripple left, Bass stopped biting. Abruptly! No matter, we were tired, and satisfied. twenty fish from this one location for a total of 38 for the day. Lost about a dozen more for whatever reason. No size to speak of. One 5+, one 4+, two 3+, the rest 1-2 lbs. I feel blessed...and sunburned.:))
fda
Yeah, I do consider myself lucky. Three! Now that's a day. That's the beauty of fishing though, remembering those special moments, as you did with your Dad. That Lund sounds like the perfect boat, for a perfect day on the water. Now, get out there and fish!
See ya
You should quit fishing them after one day as that would be hard to improve on. Lucky bastage! LOL. I can remember many a day of throwing big assed baits until my shoulders hurt without so much as a strike. I do remember one fall morning with my dad though were we caught and released 3 legal fish before 9am. Lost one that took the back half of a Hawg Wobbler off that was likely a real good fish. Far more days of the first kind though in my experience.
I have a Lund pontoon that is set up for fishing with captains chairs on each corner. Have a trolling motor also so I can move it around and walleye fish. I do enjoy chasing the big gills though as does my wife.
Buck...have a great rest of the evening. Catch you sometime tomorrow.
I'm tired, methinksitsbedtimeinmesa@arizona
Sheesh...I just answered my own post! Howdy Buck.
Hahahaha...you're going to need waders that go above your nose! Mine do! Perfect for these boards...:)
How goes it Buck?
Let me get my waders....
Hey Buck....man, just love that spell check! Someday I'm going to be able to say..."yeah, I knew that pepperhead when he was just common folk"! I've e-mailed him, but he seems to be to busy meeting with that Gates fella to get back to me! :)
Another winner.
Hey, have I ever told you about the time I hooked, landed, and won a Bass Tournament, with a 16.75# Bass? That one bass beat the second place team all by itself. Of course, I have way too many second place finishes, by just ounces, to balance things out.
Have a good one, fda
