Great open today, down 111...I am out!
It may stall today at the 10min 200ma, but I've got good Sto synergies in multiple time frames.
So far so good...took my position when the 10min cup and handle broke out...
OK..I guess it's a four post requirement on this board...
so until I have some company I'll have to talk to myself.
I'm trying ABC here...
Thinking it may be on a pivot. Stats aren't too bad. In 31.09.
Great call both stocks giving cash like ATM's
So that's the only thing you're trading?
I'm diggin his stuff about moving averages and how he technically defines an uptrend or a downtrend. I was already playing around with that before I got the book, but he's helped fill in some blanks.
FAZ post was in response to this one.
I'm all about the FAZ right now...
I finally gave up on BARE. Out at even-ish.
Looks like you'll get a bounce here on the 60.
On another topic.... have you put anything on your desktop to indicate the criteria that Brian Shannon uses to call a trend?
Five minute. Spent all early afternoon hugging the 13 day, tried to get going off of it, crumbled. No biggie, still not doing anything but psychological paper-trading, just disappointed, first trade that hasn't gone my way in the last two weeks. At least FAZ gapped up like I said it would.
What pattern were you watching, bags?
And then failed. This better just be a little pullback as that pattern was sweet.
That was a most awesome trade.
That's for the list thingy :)
Well you did make me look.
and ZLC just hit 3.16!!...
lol....gotchya!
I'm out ZLC at 2.3412.... about 14%-ish.
There we go.
yeah, i think the market is undecided how to digest the new regulations they're trying to put in place. the q's are hanging from the edge of the cliff on the shorter time frames and if it falls, we'll see faz over $20 once again.
i hate gravestone doji's...hope that fills in some before the close...
I've been watching faz and fas all day... neither can hang onto even a 30 min trend for long. I love trading those things, but you for sure have to let the trade come to you or you get burned... quickly.
faz
even if the financials are mostly sitting the day out. tech seems to be leading.
Neither if it doesn't behave here soon... I'm playing a 60 min swing... or at least that was the intent.
you're shorting it or scalping it?
Just got my entry on BARE... fresh 60.
ya lost me on that thread...
Looks like it might break out from its pattern here.
I never said that it wouldn't, what I did say is that I believe that there's some serious red coming.
that's when you told me to screw the chart...but i have other preferences...
Of course I am... I bought it last week based on funnymentals.
Could possibly see 8000 on the INDU today, if they rock this sucker. S&P hit the same high as yesterday...
That's it, I'm going back to Command Center!
that's right and we told you to get SD...neenr neenr... ;)
I'm surprised. If it can get its footing here, it could do some serious movement.
Hah, I did tell him that!
And I've told you and M to both drop IE for Firefox before too!
nope...are you?....nice leg...
take a look at john's chart on the bcon board...i think he read the same book...
CRMT...bot the handle break at 14.15....
i'm surprised he didn't tell you that the only way to fix it was to buy a mac...!
wink
i'm breaking blood vessels...way too early for me...i need coffee first...
i don't think so, but CRMT's will proby breakout today...
FYI, Prob with SD was caused by using Internet Explorer as my primary browser. Since Strategy Desk runs through internet explorer, you need to have "pop up" and all those tool bars removed, and clean it up. Next you need to run all your other applications through Firefox so that the only thing running on Internet Explorer is your Strategy Desk.
If you have 4 or 5 other application windows open that you are frequenting while using Strategy Desk, the competition for bandwidth and Ram is too much sometimes.
My thanks to bags for helping me through this and getting me started with Firefox, which is a much cleaner application.
Anybody every used Support and Resistance chart studies in SD? Here's the calc ...
(D,1 means yesterday)
Resistance 1...
2 * ((Bar[High,D,1] + Bar[Low,D,1] + Bar[Close,D,1]) / 3) - Bar[Low,D,1]
Resistance 2...
(Bar[High,D,1] + Bar[Low,D,1] + Bar[Close,D,1])/3 - Bar[Low,D,1] + Bar[High,D,1]
Thoughts???
