it's a very good thing that ya like competition cuz as I was tellin ya a few days ago....you'll find that u have TONZ of competition out there.

& note that it may be a new venture for the CompassFX (actually I think they've simply re-worked a former thing they've already had goin that's quite similar...just improving upon it is all...but not sure, I could be thinking about another outfit?) however once you do some more research on this idea, as I was sayin earlier, you will find that you & Compass are not the only one's out there...in fact this niche has grown tremendously over the past few yrs.

Perhaps that's what u r in the process of doin now....checkin out the competition....I think that's you best bet right now...this way you'll have an idea as to what u r up against & thus be able to brainstorm with the knowledge of what's already out there & what ya could improve upon.

Actually Worn..it just went down with the other pairs...trying to bounce a bit now...I said TRYING!...notice the USD/JPY...Flusshhhhh...down the toilet she still goes with 5 minute bids still dropping...Kathy Lien in an interview I just watched is looking for non farm payrolls to drop at least 100K so the market may be building that in as we sit and guess...If so then EUR/USD might get a bit of relief from the shorts...JMO of course.USD/JPY is taking a hell of a beating!

I fully understand abou the board thing Worn and it really is not good for our small but growing community to be scattered about...also with RE to the comments about Ryno's success on Cable..I have been as always keeping up with your board which BTW is and always has been excellent...so I am familiar with all his posts and have been horsing around with it a bit myself with GBP/USD...been eavesdropping on you to Worn(LOL)..One thing I dont know is what is ElGato..The Cat doing these days?

Good deal Simple....

W/re to the cable...Ryno over at the other board clued us in the other day to a fairly regular trend on this pair...been occurin like clockwork ('cept for last night of course..jus took a few hrs longer to set up is all)...goin short the cable as early as 10:30p pst up until approx 1:30a pst.....then the next few hrs thereafter the trade matures.

Today however it didn't break lower until jus a few hrs ago at approx 6:30a pst....got as low as 1.7625-30 & since has retraced to the north to 1.7715...not a bad trade even after the retrace.

Ryno says he's been takin this trade to the bank the last few weeks...maybe a month or two now.

Anyway....since it seems this board is losin steam after all the initial giddyness...why not take all this over to the other board...of course we can still use your board & the TA board for related matters.....but perhaps jus for everyday genl comments w/re to everything else...fundi's, broader mrkt chat & simply color commentary.....by all means....join us at the 4x board...a real good group over there....Nettles, Ryno, Jester, JT, Ataglance, Daiello, Kermit, Plugger, etc....tho as of late the CaT (Ataglance) has been MIA....but that board does seem 2 b picken up as of late. I just dont want there bein too many 4x boards that need to be checked each day.....prefer goin to one or 2 boards at the most.

My 2 pennies anyways.

Howdy Worn...I am back at the grind but just not enough time for posting...I can trade sparingly or post sparingly so naturally I chose the latter!Hope you have had a good day my fiend...I have done quite well with what trades I could make on GBP/USD and USD/JPY....got a little weakness on the dollar today and Yen is rising so it made for good opportunities on both pairs...cable made some surprise runs today IMO.But at those tops I was there with everyone else waiting with a short(LOL)..Simple

Guess there's no tellin where it'll finally decide ta bottom out...but now it's back in the '07 Q4 channel....near the middle range of it....how low will it go?

As for the US mrkt....I'm still waiting for someone to take the side of the bull here & explain why it's running along w/the greenback?

As for me....I just don't see it based on the fundimentals...however TA wise I guess it's plausable & thus the best explanation. Other than that I guess the fact that Gustav wasn't all too bad is today's reasoning behind the present rally. Even so....still makes no sense to me...the Dow north by 200+.....talk about an oil driven mrkt....guess w/oil down sub 115 it's time ta buy some airline stocks again....YIKES!!!...lol

Worn Buffet, if you like to keep up with a lot of other charts outside of forex...I post a lot of stuff on my other board FAnTA$tic DD. Ive been posting about gold for a while now...I updated this ~$GOLD~ on 8/17/08( I havent updated it since...Now I need to move my purple circle to the right)...notice the purple circle on my chart that hasnt been touched...I have been anticipating gold retracing to its 61.8% fibonacci level for weeks now on the Weekly chart(and have been posting that on the many boards that I moderate)...The daily chart also suggests a pull back near term...GL my friend...

Sounds good. I have been reading 4x messages and going through the babypips website. My head is spinning from reading. If I stay on this track, I won't be trading anytime soon. It would be much more interesting to try out a system and see if I can make it work. It sounds like the Tunnel Method is a good one to try and master. I saw this post: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=31771249 and am in the process of digesting it.

So, in short, I am going to try and get my arms around the Tunnel Method. I'll touch base when I start trading it and let you know how it goes.

OK....I think I got it....there's some kinda chart (Andrew's Pitchfork?) that the platform here wont let ya post....if this is the case then all ya need to do is put it into email format & tell folks to sign up for an email list that you'd be willing to put together for folks....would this not work or are you not able to put this chart in email format either?

But I will say this...as for your dollar call....I think most chartists are in agreement w/you & additionally, this argument can easilly be made w/any of the other charts that others tend ta use....but w/re to the Andrew's PF....I'm always open to learning more & if there's a way you can figure out how to get it out there for us all to see....sign me up....especialy if it's for free ;)~

not sure what u r lookin for out of this board?

For yrs now there's been no problems from what I can tell w/how folks are able to communicate here & discuss the charts. As you know, IHub allows folks to put up charts & chat in r/t....so what you wanna do is not all that different. If I read you correctly, all you'd really like ta add perhaps is some VOIP for live chats. If this is the case then this can be accomplished very easily..& on da cheap too as we all know setting up a group voip format is fairly cheap these days....if not free all together. & if not live voip..then maybe an IM format....which I know JRB was tryin ta do a few mos back w/this joint of his that he's pulled down to work on a lil more...it offers live IM's as well as a posting forum w/many 4x related threads....keep checkin back from to time....if he does get it back up....a fairly cool joint w/lotza great resources.

I must re-emphasize that I am not asking people to pay me anything for advice or chart accumen.

If I wanted to do that, I could do it quite easily with stocks... Quite frankly, I dont need peoples money. I have my own...What I need is a new platform where I can interact with other Forex traders on an advanced level.I basically am trying to create an IVY league Forex team...And it will only work if we can communicate effectively.

You are the second person that has interpreted my intentions as a way to make money off of other people, so I have to assume that the cause must be in the way that Ive described my intentions...Once again, I want to make money with people...not off people...Im sorry if I didnt make myself clear...Guess I just thought people would figure it out.I mean how can I charge people for visiting my IHUB board? Which was my original plan from the beginning.

I am posting less on this board recently because I am trying to put alot of things together...As many of you know, I am a chartist.I express my trading through charting...

I have been trying to get IHUB to let me sync my charting platform to a new board. Im not sure if ihub is ready for that.

The reason I want to sync my charting platform to ihub, is so everyone can see the same things that I am seeing on the charts that I annotate. If this was a stock board, it would be easy. Because I could present a stock and then give a thorough series of multiple intra-day chart annotations to fully express why there may be a potential trade.

Well this board is focused on Forex. Stockcharts.com does not provide intra-day charts for currencies...

Noone here has mentioned anything about the recent trades that I have executed.Some of the trades were awesome, as well as common sense charting.So why isnt anyone commenting on these trades? I'll tell you why , because they cant see them...

My Forex work has started...and the results have persuaded me to attempt to take it much further...Since I am unable to achieve my Forex desires here, I am in the midst of creating my own website where others will be able to see my forex charts and trades in a real-time setting...already have confirmation that this is possible through an NFA certified forex broker that offers the MT4 charting platform.I will keep this board updated about those developements...I do not know how long this will take to get up and running as Im not experienced in website-developement...

I am extremely serious when it comes to making money...That is what I do...I am at a point in my life where I am willing to share knowledge, trading tactics , and charting secrets...but I will only share my little two cents with those that genuinely
want to learn... its just that simple...I have trading tactics and formulas that noone knows about.How do I know this? Because Ive never publicly shared them...2008 is the first year that I have ever shared anything about my investment techniques...ever...

I havent even started to show people here my option techniques yet...maybe that is what I'll do starting next week...options...

OK...gettin ready to bail on my usd/chf short here...both positions now in the green....by 11 & 2 pips respectively....think it may lose a lil steam w/in this channel & bounce around a bit so I sohuld take what the mrkt is given me on a late Fri & run....some nice long holiday wknd walkin 'round $$$ ;)~

& btw....I do go back & edit some of my posts from time ta time....like that last one of mine you replied to..I did add stuff to it after yuor reply. I added some Gustav talk & how gold may react....kinda liken gold here in the 830 range...it's lookin like it wants to trend higher here...tho I think the trouble its' havin right now gettin some legs is that perhaps many of the Gustav speculators dont wanna risk wknd positions & then have Gustav be nothin more than a cat 3.

Still tho...I feel that consdering all the fundi's in the US (or shall I say a serious lack thereof)...like the YoY for July Personal Income bein the worst in 4+ yrs...which in turn has a direct effect on personal spending....this all makes gold a decent buy here.....& if Gustav grows into a cat 4....910-950 by late next week could be a real possibility.
& even if he doesn't become anything more than a cat 3....the fundi's should still support gold trading north of 850 imo.

What I think we have here this Fri AM is a lil greenback head fake to the north....& bein that itza Fri....it jus may very well last the next few hrs into the US close...also a long wknd in the US.

But come Sun afternoon & into the London Mon AM session....we very well may see some considerable greenback pressure to the south. I feel we're due anyhow for a pullback w/all usd crosses.

RE:bobby...GBP/USD...this time it hit the 30 second EMA(169) and dropped....according to the Tunnel Method the EMA(144) and EMA(169) create the "Tunnel" and a significant cross and hold in either direction sets a short term trend.

BGP/USD has a 3hour channel that is biased to the bottom side..look at a 30 second chart to see whats really happening....has resistance at EMA(144) ..about 1.8250 ...bottom of channel is about 1.82268...Its making another bullish move on the 30 second right now but will need to cross above that EMA(144) to get any chance for channel top.

Ya I had to choose the 4 hour candle with my demo model. I'm still playing with it a little. GBP/USD has taken alot of capital this morning. The bottom bollie just keeps going lower and lower and it broke that "candle" support line. I guess I need to wait for a new 4 hour candle to develop fully.

Yep bobby..works well fot me...I said 3hour because Oanda has 3 but not 4 hour candle chart but I think most have a 4hour...the 4 should be fine tho

OMG!!!!! That works. I am using a 4 hour chart and then swith to the 5 minute chart. Made money with the EUR/USD. Gonna look at the GBP where the profits can be the largest!

BTW Worn... I have been working with the Tunnel Method posted about on your board and find it to be excellent!Others might want to check the posts on your board about that as well...that chart setup based on Gann theory and fibs works very well indeed if properly understood.

Ahhh!!..thats is ballyhoo...go to 3 hour candle chart and set a horizontal trendline at the exact top and bottom of the candle...then switch the chart to a 5 minute time frame and your 5 minute channel is clearly shown...notice how beautifully it tests the top and bottom of the channel til positive or negative breakout finally changes the channel?
